This is a really lovely cottage! We arrived after dark during a storm so when we opened the door and stepped into a warm inviting home we were delighted! Plenty of food for breakfast as well as milk and orange juice in the fridge. The boiler under the stairs has a clothes horse so drying our clothes was easy. The bedrooms were lovely, especially the master king which was a four poster. Plenty of room for storing your clothes in the wardrobe and chest of drawers too. Bring your own hairdryer and extension lead if you need to dry your hair as although there is one there, the cord is very short and plug socket is in the corner. The bathroom has a bath and really powerful shower. When the weather improved we were treated to a little show by the friendly turkeys that are resident and we were able to walk around the farm yard to say hello to some of the other friendly animals. I believe there are some lovely nearby walks, but we didn't have the time to enjoy them on this trip. Highly recommend this place for a lovely quiet break.

Lovely location, easy parking right outside the door. Large barn conversion, plenty of room for 2 of us. Comfortable sofas. Starter pack was a nice touch with bread, milk, fresh farm eggs, butter and jam.

It is a really good property, just note it is down a long narrow road which was fine this morning on the daylight but a little harder to navigate when arriving in the dark. Lovely 4 poster bed, all amenities in the kitchen etc. Comfortable stay thank you. Would recommend

Lovely well well equipped cottage. Plenty of parking. Nice welcome groceries (bread, eggs, butter, jam & milk). Also had most of the subscription TV channels available and excellent wi-fi. Close to Buxton which is a 'must see' if in the area.

Stayed for a couple of nights for a peaceful and relaxing couple of days, arrived to be treated by the owner on a working farm with lots of lambs and hens around. Inside was lovely and clean, well equipped and lots of goodies supplied for us. We had 2 nights of lovely peace and relaxation as we wanted. Nice to talk to the wildlife and have a bench of hens, turkeys and other birds right outside our front door. Will definitely return in the future and highly recommend if you want a rural peaceful retreat.

Booked for a quiet couples get away in the Peak District and it was absolutely perfect. Ideal accomodation for what we wanted, and we had the place all to ourselves. Great kitchen facilities, open plan lounge area was really nice, lovely bathroom and bedroom was comfy too. Wasn't too far to drive to places to go for walks, and other attractions either. Would definitely recommend

Stumbled across this via hotels.com. This isn't a hotel, let's be clear, it is much much better. The use of a full cottage, fabulous facilities, full kitchen, sitting room, fabulous bathroom. In the middle of nowhere. We had breakfast on the bench out the front. We had been left lots of choice for breakfast. We will be back, and will be telling friends.

Lovely stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Vicky was always on hand when needed and communication was great - super quick! Loved coming outside to the chickens and seeing the horses when we arrived. We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend/return!

I stayed here with my partner for one night and have to say it was absolutely fantastic! The cottage was incredibly clean and spacious. More than enough food for breakfast provided which was a lovely touch. Bed was incredibly comfy. Can't fault it and we'll absolutely be back!

Very comfortable and sooo much food, theres a weekly shop in the kitchen! Only down side was the no dogs upstairs rule. Some hygiene issues in the kitchen but nothing serious. Area is incredible, very scenic and beautiful. Also very quiet, you can hear a pin drop at night which is restful. The track to the farm is single track and rough in parts, one to note for anyone with a sports car. Glad I came in a 4x4.

Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too.

Loved this cottage. Beautiful location with fantastic walks straight from the door. Good value, very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. The hosts were very generous with breakfast and had thought of everything. We will be back!

Vicky was very welcoming. It was lovely to be in such a rural location, delightful to see the turkeys and chickens wandering around the farmyard. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, the beds and sofas great. Good to have a proper dining room table as well. Breakfast options were plentiful, with a varied selection to suit all tastes. We’d love to visit again.

We had a lovely couple of nights stay here for our anniversary. The host was friendly and helpful and there was a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere all around. The property is cozy and comfortable with more or less everything you need. We appreciated the fans provided as we had quite warm weather for our stay. Probably one of the best things was the quality and quantity of the breakfast items provided. When we arrived we had intended to go back out to find a supermarket but it was getting late and so we chose to make a meal using the sausages and eggs provided, and still had plenty of options for breakfast for the rest of the stay. We did 2 walks while we were there, one from the lovely village of Hartington which followed the river for a good portion of the route. This was beautiful. The other walk we did from the property up to join a circular walk around Robin Hood’s stride. There were so many options for walking if this is your thing and an OS map will prove very helpful. We had no phone signal there but the Wi-Fi was reliable. I’d recommend having physical maps to hand when out and about. We had one situation where we couldn’t load the satnav and had to navigate back the old fashioned way. All part of the fun so long as you’re prepared! We have recommended this place to our family and would be happy to return ourselves.

Had a medical emergency at a large event I was attending. I booked this cottage only the previous day. The owner would not cancel the booking even though it was explained of the medical emergency and the fact I had no transport to get to the property. Totally not interested and would not even refund half the booking cost as we had booked two nights stay. Shocking treatment from booking, no sympathy for our genuine emergency and was not at all interested in my plight. I would not recommend this place just based on the lack of sympathy shown to a genuine person Only interested in the fact they would lose money. So we paid for absolutely nothing !!!!! We could not even attend the cottage. Could have refunded half to us. Beware when booking this cottage. You will not be able to cancel it under any circumstances what so ever. !!!!! And you will lose your money. Terrible business, would not recommend to anyone

Absolutely stunning cottage, everything you could possibly need and more. Very comfy bed, sofas and a cosy feel to the whole place. Lovely to see ask the chickens and turkeys wandering around outside the door. Very quiet and peaceful, perfect for a getaway. Exceptionally generous hosts with enough food options to feed everyone! It is a really good property, just note it is down a long narrow road which was fine this morning on the daylight but a little harder to navigate when arriving in the dark. Lovely 4 poster bed, all amenities in the kitchen etc. Comfortable stay thank you. Would recommend

Very comfortable and sooo much food, theres a weekly shop in the kitchen! Only down side was the no dogs upstairs rule. Some hygiene issues in the kitchen but nothing serious. Area is incredible, very scenic and beautiful. Also very quiet, you can hear a pin drop at night which is restful. The track to the farm is single track and rough in parts, one to note for anyone with a sports car. Glad I came in a 4x4.

The holiday cottage was lovely and cosy the bed was nice and comfortable, it was nice of the owners to be left some eggs, milk, bread and butter for our breakfast. A couple of things I would recommend is instructions how to work the TV, microwave/ oven etc. The cottage was a bit far out for us as we were only visiting Chatsworth House and didn’t realise when we booked it that it was in the middle of nowhere, when we booked we typed in Bakewell, where actually it’s nowhere in Bakewell. Our fault completely as we didn’t do our research beforehand. Thank you to the tourist information centre who gave us directions and bus routes to and from our destination. Also thank you to a kind couple who directed us of the bus and gave us a lift to the farm and gave us Taxi numbers which unfortunately were booked so we had a 30 mins walk all up hill in the morning to get the bus.

Lovely well well equipped cottage. Plenty of parking. Nice welcome groceries (bread, eggs, butter, jam & milk). Also had most of the subscription TV channels available and excellent wi-fi. Close to Buxton which is a 'must see' if in the area.

We had a lovely couple of nights stay here for our anniversary. The host was friendly and helpful and there was a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere all around. The property is cozy and comfortable with more or less everything you need. We appreciated the fans provided as we had quite warm weather for our stay. Probably one of the best things was the quality and quantity of the breakfast items provided. When we arrived we had intended to go back out to find a supermarket but it was getting late and so we chose to make a meal using the sausages and eggs provided, and still had plenty of options for breakfast for the rest of the stay. We did 2 walks while we were there, one from the lovely village of Hartington which followed the river for a good portion of the route. This was beautiful. The other walk we did from the property up to join a circular walk around Robin Hood’s stride. There were so many options for walking if this is your thing and an OS map will prove very helpful. We had no phone signal there but the Wi-Fi was reliable. I’d recommend having physical maps to hand when out and about. We had one situation where we couldn’t load the satnav and had to navigate back the old fashioned way. All part of the fun so long as you’re prepared! We have recommended this place to our family and would be happy to return ourselves.

Vicky was very welcoming. It was lovely to be in such a rural location, delightful to see the turkeys and chickens wandering around the farmyard. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, the beds and sofas great. Good to have a proper dining room table as well. Breakfast options were plentiful, with a varied selection to suit all tastes. We’d love to visit again.

Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too.

Searched for two bedroom properties near Bakewell and found this place. All looked fine so booked it. However, when my daughter and I arrived late at night we found there was only one bedroom. There was a locked door upstairs which I presumed was the second bedroom. Rang the owner who said that we hadn't paid for a second bedroom? When I asked him why the website clearly shows a second bedroom he said that that was for "another type of booking" but it was inconvenient for him to change the pictures Didn't care at all. I ended up using sofa cushions to camp on the floor. I checked the website again and all the pictures of all the bedrooms are still there and no mention of one bedroom right thought to reservation. I booked this cottage at fairly short notice We were attending an event nearby and so booked only one night but it is beautifully situated and the cottage was very nice, so I would happily have stayed longer. Communication easy and very prompt via Hotels.com app and once we arrived, the mobile number was available. Self check in was easy, key safe code provided in advance. Vicky arranged for us to store bikes securely in padlocked barn. Comfortable cottage, slept well, it is very quiet. There is a kitchen, useful for a longer stay. Parking is easy, just outside cottage. Clean and comfortable. No complaints.
