In the centre of Wimborne, really handy it has its own parking area (about 12 spaces but the pub around the corner owns the property and has plenty more if it is full). I had no problem finding a parking space. Quite a long garden behind the parking area with garden furniture. Rooms excellent, bed comfy and pillows better than five star hotels I have stayed at around the world. Huge shower room. Rainfall shower and a handheld shower. Massive selection of tea and coffee - really quite surprising. Nice glassware. Nice little touches like a Robert’s DAB radio with built in clock which was turned on at a low volume when you walk in the room. Very welcoming. USB sockets either side of the bed. Some rooms are on the car park level however the whole area is very upmarket and quiet and I didn’t feel security was an issue at all. There are rooms inside the building on a higher floor. Seamless checkin, you drop your key off in a box on the wall near the small reception the day of checkout. Breakfast if you want it is in the pub around the corner which you prepay for if not in the room rate when you check in. Would certainly stay again.

Good base in middle of town only booked bed but if breakfast needed it was a very short walk to a sister pub private car park a bonus

There is a rainfall separate shower in the bathroom too, handy for both of us getting ready at the same time. Large sea kelp toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash ,bubble bath etc. Generous selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & complimentary watercomplimentary eco- friendly. Free car parking at the rear. Hairdryer & a magified mirror with light ring to do makeup in .Fan and radiator in all rooms. Staff friendly as always, so accommodating with late checkout, always appreciated! Our room (7) unfortunately wouldn't connect to Internet, i believe there was an issue with our TV as neighbouring rooms had WIFI, we were kindly offered free breakfast as a goodwill gesture due to this. Always a pleasure to stay at the Albion, i will always stay here when visiting the friendly town of wimborne. Great location in the square, walking distance to Wetherspoons pub, the tivoli theatre, supermarket, restaurants etc, bus route & taxi rank are literally 30 seconds walk. The beautiful church is opposite the albion, I've meant to visit it each time i stayed, maybe next time! Some folks complain of the bells, however if youre opposite a chirch, it should be expected! Some rooms it's noticeable, in our room it was not, though ear plugs are provided for those with sensitive hearing! 5* given, of course.

Yes great for accessibility if staying on ground floor and mobility issues. Very handy for local amenities

Location was excellent, we walked to Rimjhim Indian restaurant for dinner - 2 mins away - lovely meal. Hotel right in the centre surrounded by shops. Entrance to hotel off the main road, quiet. There is parking which is very handy, just note the entrance is a bit narrow, just be careful. One night stay, bed very comfortable, would visit again

Excellent location in the centre of Wimborne. Very comfortable bed. Great free parking. Food not available on site but due to central location (and dry weather), not a problem.

Nice place to stay You need to walk to the Olive Branch for dinner (not far but best to have a coat and umbrella) Breakfast only started at 7.30 so if you are there for business and have an early start this is not ideal Other than that a very nice place to stay

It was only accessible by climbing 2 flights of fairly steep stairs, which we were unaware of when booking. The breakfast was excellent but was in a restaurant around the corner, not in the same building. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice Characterful Hotel in good location. Comfortable rooms. The restaurant for the hotel a few minuets walk away. Not great if it is raining

We enjoyed just a one night stay in the centre of town at The Albion as we were just here for a concert. It was in a very quirky room on the top floor which had a copper bath in and a very large bed. It was nicely furnished in keeping with this old hotel but was comfy and also had a recently refurbished shower room with large shower cubicle. Everywhere was spotless. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast in an interesting dining room at the sister hotel, The Olive Branch only just round the corner from The Albion

Accomodation was clean, welcoming, beautiful, bed was super comfortable, had everything you could possibly need. They really did anticipate your every wish. Historically very interesting. Full English breakfast was incredible. Parking was easy and much appreciated. Staff - Greg, Sarah and Sam were all amazingly helpful with customer service being top of their mind. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We stayed in room 3 at1777 The Albion in Wimborne for an early Xmas party. The room was very well equipped and exceptionally clean. Lovely comfy bed and pillows. The shower was fabulous. The room was very quirky with some lovely finishing touches and is ideally located in the middle of town. We had complimentary drinks at the Olive Branch a short walk away and breakfast there was an option if needed. Very quiet and easy parking. The only thing I would suggest is that the heating should be turned down slightly as it was very hot overnight. I would definately stay here again.

Clean.Homely and very pleasant. Lovely staff. Comfy bed. spacious wet room with all essentials laid on. Very relaxing atmosphere and just off the square. A nice treat.

Everything was just wonderful . Stayed in room 10 which was just Beautiful, clean and they had thought of everything.

I wish I could give this hotel a better review. The person who checked us in was very helpful and it was a lovely room. However, it is directly opposite the Minster and our room was on the front of the hotel. The bells rang every 15 minutes the whole night through and for a prolonged period at 7.56am. I was exhausted and near tears the following day, there’s no way I could have stayed a second night. I had earplugs in as I always do, but it is very very loud. I would also suggest the hotel add a lamp or two in the room, it was strange having only the one main ceiling light.

The room was big, super comfortable and the staff were lovely. They got us checked in, showed us how to adjust the heating in the room and helped us to choose a restaurant for dinner. The copper bath was fantastic to the point that I didn't want to get out! This really felt like a luxury stay without the ridiculous price tag.

Well equipped, room with modern/ classic décor, comfy bed and pillows and a great hot and spacious shower…perfect for an over night stay or long weekend break in a lovely little town.

The 1777 was a wonderful place to stay! We had the accessibility room which was on the ground floor. An interesting thing to note is that the ground floor rooms are in an alley, so you're somewhat required to keep your curtains drawn; little to no natural light gets in because of this, but there isn't really a workaround (unless you're okay with the prospect of another guest peering in). The beds were very comfortable, and the wet room was perfectly suitable for someone with accessibility needs (as far as I could tell, at least!)

Central location. Excellent character and standards inside the room. Access was up two flights of stairs. Despite having space, the room lacked an armchair for watching television, etc., and there was nowhere to put a suitcase except on the bed or floor. I did not use the breakfast arrangement, which was at 'The Olive Branch' a large pub about 200 yards away. Easy parking.

The room was lovely, really nice and very well presented. Bed was massive and really comfy. Staff were friendly and approachable. However, it was baking hot and with the building being old the windows weren’t massive so not much breeze. There was one small fan which didn’t really do much and neither of us slept well with being so hot the whole time, and being on the top floor our dog really struggled too. The tv wouldn’t work either, no internet connection so we couldn’t get any of the apps to work and no one could help us with it. We did enjoy our stay, its was just tainted by a few things.

I was up 4 flights of steep stairs with a painful back problem so difficult to manage my suitcase up the stairs Very small cramped room with no evening light so had to have large lights on all the time as wall lights had been removed At 6am the church bells across the road started ringing every half hour - the road was closed off which obviously caused a problem that wasn’t the hotels fault but meant you had to go to the sister restaurant next door to get keys but to be greeted by lovely friendly helpful staff & breakfast in there was ok - they did have ground floor rooms that I would have booked but that wouldn’t have stopped being woken up at 6am by church bells

I loved the copper bath, i had always wanted to stay in room 7 or 10, after visiting the first time. The sea kelp toiletries were good too. The room had a very comfy king size bed, with a decent firm mattress. Helpful staff, very accommodating regarding a late checkout, which was hugely appreciated! The Albion is in a great location, bang in the middle of the square, just a couple of minutes walk to the Tivoli. If i were to share some constructive criticism, it would be lovely to have a mini fridge in the deluxe & Indulgence plus rooms, be a nice little touch, especially in the summer months, keeping drinks cool etc. I'm very much looking forward to returning in October! Room was clean and characterful; hotel is very well placed for central Wimborne; tea, coffee and biscuits! Off-street parking is good. Very limited contact with staff at the site of the accommodation. But we could get the keys at the associated pub.

An absolute fantastic stay, couldn't of asked for a better quality hotel for the price at last minute. The communication from the hotel was perfect as we were checking in late and the reception had phoned to check what time to make sure that no requirements were needed. A lovely rustic feel with history of the local area, little additions which made the stay. Bottled water, shortbreads, tea bags and herbal teas. Some may say well every hotel does this, but it with it being an independent chain. I'd go back again without a question. Rooms were spacious and felt like home. Check in involved note on the door with instructions to walk 3 blocks to another establishment The Olive Branch to pick up our keys. Fortunately it was not raining at the time. Once in our room the WiFi instructions did not work. With no staff on site to help us, no answer to phone calls to 3 different numbers, we had to walk again to Olive Branch to ask the staff for help. Turned out the instructions in the room were incorrect and login was another network and password! Once logged in to the network we had to stand by the widow in the bathroom for a strong enough signal to get online! Unfortunately the whole experience resulted in a rather negative overall take away.

Very helpful Receptionist. Boutique hotel with lots of character. Room was clean, coffee/tea facilities. 2 cans of water provided too! Excellent location. Enjoyed our stay and we’d book again.

We know Wimborne quite well having family nearby and have often been intrigued by this interesting looking hotel in the town centre. The opportunity arose to spend a single night mid-week while attending a family event. We had a really comfortable stay, and left wishing we were staying longer. Others will moan about the Minster’s chiming bells through the night. I found it quite comforting and my wife used the complementary ear-plugs, and we both had an excellent night’s sleep in the gloriously comfortable bed.

Lovely comfortable room in the heart of Wimborne. I was right on the High Street but was not bothered by the noise. Bed was very comfortable and excellent shower.

I suppose I didn’t really know a lot about The Albion and was mildly surprised that all food and drink was served at the sister location. It wasn’t a problem as the Olive Branch is only a short walk away. At reception, I was greeted by a charming lady who showed me to my room which was well appointed although a little cramped. My only negative comment would be the smell of drains that permeated the room during the night. The food at the Olive Tree is adequate although I was disappointed that 3 of the dishes on a fairly limited menu were not available. Full credit for a nice breakfast served by a delightful lady.
