Very modern property on the outskirts of Fortitude Valley, an easy walk to restaurants, public transport and RNA Showgrounds for major events. The rooms are TINY (the hotel calls them modern), but we were comfortable for our three-night stay (we did ask for a room with a terrace though, which definitely helped extend our living space). Cafe onsite, ice machine, very helpful staff, easy parking onsite. It's an easy walk to Howard Smith Wharves and the Brisbane River. An easy 15 minute walk into the city, 10 minutes into the Valley and less than 15 minutes to the entrance to the RNA Showgrounds. Really can't fault this property. Can't thank the staff enough for being so helpful.

The location of the hotel was quite good. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of options. The room itself was a bit small, but it had a large balcony. The bathroom was also spacious. Unfortunately, housekeeping was not very attentive. The trash bins were not emptied, toilet paper was not restocked, only half of the towels were replaced, the balcony door was left open, and a wet used towel from the previous guest was still in the bathroom when we arrived. The gym was very disappointing. It was extremely small and the equipment was very old, with some machines not working at all. Overall, the stay had some nice aspects, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in housekeeping.

Lovely sunny room on the 4th floor. Unfortunately the cafe had very limited hours so I didnt get to try but uber eats was easy and plenty of options. Room was clean and as a solo female traveller it felt safe. I will visit again.

Considering the limited street parking available and the sketchiness of that area after dark, it was disappointing that the hotel use the property’s secure Car parking facility solely as a revenue raiser. Arriving late at night as a single woman and not finding any parking close to the hotel will ultimately raise the question of add $30 to my booking for parking, or choose another property with safety being a key driving factor.

The room was quite dirty, and found that despite there being housekeeping, no one had thought to clean vomit splashed under a table before (or during) our stay. Also found there to be a number of people on drugs roaming the hotel, felt very uncomfortable.

This was my second visit to this hotel. The first was quite pleasant, but admittedly it was only a short stay. The most recent visit was disappointing - the room had a stuffy smell - I think it was the carpet. The wash basin was constantly backing up. Finally on the check out day I realised that contributing to the smell was the kettle (I did not use the kettle) - but on the check out day when I was doing a final check to make sure I didn't leave anything behind, I opened the cupboard where the kettle was stored and to my disgust the inside of the kettle was dirty, molded and had a terrible odor. The cleaning of the room was also not consistent - I don't think the carpet was ever vacuumed, during my stay.

A fantastic, exceptionally clean hotel in the perfect location, just a short walk to the Music Hall for my concert. The staff were wonderfully helpful and accommodating, and they were very respectful of my privacy when I requested it. Truly made my stay comfortable and stress-free.

this is definitely NOT a 4 star property. The room was smelly (in a damp kind of way) and seemed unclean. However, the location was fantastic, the price was great and the staff were amazing. Soooo, as long as you know what you're getting into, you'll be ok. Note to the hotel management- get a DEEP clean and replace some of those gross carpets, they really give a terrible impression. I had read other reviews- yes, the bathroom was a disabled-style bathroom and there was a small fridge (but no microwave- it's not a Motel, after all) I found on-street free parking for one night, which offset the $30/night fee (normal for inner city hotels, but still, why pay when you don't have to?). TLDR- stay here knowing what to expect but it's in a great spot

The property itself was great and the staff were incredible but the rooms were not very comfortable. No chairs to sit on so only option is to sit on the bed or the floor. The most uncomfortable part though was the fact that there was a massive window dividing the bedroom and bathroom and it is completely see through. I shared a room with my teenage daughter and we did not shower as we didn’t want to be seen by each other and even going to the toilet we felt so uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying in these rooms if you’re not travelling with your partner and even then it is just still weird.

Generally nice enough complex. Cute little cafe with various food options and decent coffee. Property carpet could be a bit cleaner outside the lifts. Rooms are quite small and do not have a desk, but housekeeping did provide a small desk on wheels which served the purpose for a couple of days of working in the room. Bed was comfortable enough. Would stay there again based on the convienence and food option.

I checked in 11pm at night. It was a nightmare, 2 staff on where they fought over who had to check me in. It took forever and they the guy that did it had no idea what he was doing. The room is tiny, the bathroom doesn't have the basic amenities other hotels have. It is not sound proof, so on level 3 I listened to the road the entire time and then as soon as there was sinlight it was straight in my room, the black out curtains, were not blackout. The kettle was disgusting (see picture) you can make people sick with that!! Then when I checked out, the lady had to leave me at reception to physically go and check the room before I could go. I told her about the disaster check in, she just said sorry, she was much better than the night check in staff. I was here for less than 9 hours, luckily, I would never come back.

Advised the parking discount which was no accepted. had to spend a lot of time on Hotels.com correspondence when it was clearly indicated on the website a VIP member parking discount. After an extensive carry on the parking discount was accepted. The reception of the hotel accused Expedia for not advising the hotel. Overall the booking in procedure was VERY unpleasant.

Room was clean, modern and comfortable. I tried to call 24hr reception twice in early evening but no answer. Walked into reception 1-2 mins later and reception was manned(?) I was also double charged for parking tthat night. This was picked up by another staff member the next morning. I would still stay again.

I would definitely recommend the Kennigo Hotel to anyone staying in Brisbane. I travelled alone and the staff were super friendly, it was close to the CBD, and still tucked away from the rowdier areas. The room was nice and comfy and overall it was a great place to stay for the week.

Loved the Kennigo Hotel Brisbane. We had a short stay and found it was very close to the train station, bars, restaurants etc. The coffee shop on site was really great too. All staff were very happy and helpful. Definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Great little hotel. Rooms were small but clean. Walkabke area although a little hilly. Great litle cafe downstairs. The only negative was the food from room service which seemed microwaved rather than cooked in an oven/airfryer. Makes for a pretty terrible parma or pizza.
