Had a very enjoyable overnight stay. It was a nice change of pace to stay in a tavern rather than a chain hotel. The food was good and the beer garden/terrace made for very pleasant surroundings on a warm summer evening. The made-to-order breakfast was also good with a decent range of options. The staff were welcoming and friendly. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely come back.

Pub was good, food good but a bit slow with the breakfast (1/2 hour ) Cold tap in the room ran hot for quite a while & the shower needs fixing as it leaks badly around the door. Not much else really but a lovely stay ta. Oh there was a broken bottle in the car park on arrival but I swept that up & put it in a safe place.

Room and bed were quiet and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Car park spaces a bit tight due to the shape of the space, but also parking on the road. I had to leave before the 8am breakfast so can’t comment, but staff very kindly left me a bag of croissants & jam outside the door. As a lone woman I also felt safe here. Co-op was a short walk away.

As we were taking a hot air ballloon flight over Bath we rang The Redan Inn to say we might be arriving late and was told to try and get there before 9pm. So, we changed our plans and went straight there to checkin then double-backed to Bath, just in case. When we arrived at the Inn in the evening the outside drinking area was full of people with loud music playing. Unfortunately, our room, Room 1, was directly above this area. The noise was so bad, we had to close the 2 windows and put a fan on instead, just to hear our TV. It stopped at 11.40pm! In the morning we went to shower only to find there was no hot water! So we had to take a cold shower before breakfast! The shower gel was also empty. At breakfast i told the guy behind the bar about the shower, and another guest came down and also complained they didn't have hot water and that their room was dirty and full of cobwebs. He even had a towel with him he'd rubbed over the headboard, and it was black. We ordered a full English and a veggie breakfast with orange juice only to be told they didnt have any sausages or orange juice! How can a bed and breakfast run out of 2 essential breakfast ingredients? The guy behind the bar had a note book of customer complaints to go through with the manager when they returned and was already on page 4. So, a noisy room, a cold shower and a poor breakfast! Extremely poor! We'd never stay there again.

The check in was quick easy & very friendly. We were in a loft room, which was compact to say the least. We found there was lack of any storage space, no chest of drawers, shelves, small wardrobe , nothing but 2 hangers behind the door. The mirror in the bathroom was on a different wall to the washbasin so made shaving difficult. The shower leaked so you had to make sure that towels were on the floor or risk slipping over when you got out. The roof windows needed cleaning and there were several spider webs. When we arrived there was only one cup & one glass on the hospitality tray. We ate in the pub both nights, the burgers were massive. The breakfasts were very good. The staff were very helpful. It was a good place to stay for a couple of nights but wouldn’t wanted to have stayed for longer due to facilities in the room( or lack of).

Such a shame lovely staff lovely food great area but quite a dirty room, hairs in and on the bed dirty moldy bathroom tiles in shower, dirt around sink taps stains on wall and on carper and lots of filth behind the radiator, also myslef and my wife got bit a lot between us, if it was clean would of gave 5 stars.

We liked the pub but the toilets in bar are really bad , I mean dirty and our room was dirty they need to get this sorted as let’s just he place down . It should be spotless . The bed was big and comfortable,staff nice . But really need a new cleaner

Spent one night at the Redan after a day trip to Bath and it was lovely. Staff are really friendly and accommodation is lovely and clean. The food was delicious. Highly recommend a stay here.

Welcome was wonderfully Staff were really polite nice efficient helpful Nothing was too much trouble The lady & Guy who were both there on our Late return from the Concert we attended in Bath was really luvly so was the same lady on Duty for our Breakfast & Departure the next Morning. Room was Excellent very clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was Excellent also. A beautiful place to Stay .

Lovely place to stay. Staff very helpful. Very clean . Only issue for myself we had room 6 that was situated on the very top floor which included lots of steps . Bed very comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and lovely. Coldnt fault it really . Will definitely rebook.

We were only there one night during Storm Darragh so didnt use the restaurant or bar, so can only comment on the room which was very nice with a lovely bathroom and great shower. Bed was really comfortable also 👍 9/10.

Stayed in the superior suit, which was very nice, good quality bedding, it was a good size room with a lovely roll top bath, plenty of hot water. Had a fantastic meal with very friendly and accommodating staff. Would definitely stay again.

The person who greeted us (I think James?) was very welcoming and checked us in quickly. Room felt fresh and had some cool old features. The shower and bed were fantastic. We had a really good pizza and a pint for about £14 each in the lovely gardens (they even put vegan cheese on for me). The breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients. All in all it was a great stay and good value for money. We hope to see you again post-festival in 2027, thank you for having us!

Overall a great place to stay if exploring the area. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The large bathroom had a walk-in shower and lovely roll top bath. Very cosy bed and good quality linen. Tea, coffee and water tray provided. Some biscuits would have been nice. Negative was the room was very warm and we could not open windows. Excellent breakfast but limited menu in the evening, for example, no chicken dishes for anyone who doesn’t eat red meat or fish. Deserts not home made and clearly microwaved-one was cold in the middle and to be returned. Reception staff on our arrival would benefit from some training on meeting and greeting, especially as first time stay. That said, we would stay there again.

Nice public house hotel, initial issue with parking as full with parents collecting children, check in issue as could not find key, woken up at 5.00am with banging from below my room, breakfast not until 8.30. Room very comfortable and tidy, area around property very nice. WI-FI a little slow

The upgraded room was very nice thou above kitchen was very hot in room. The room very nice big bed comfortable. The tea and coffee was not refilled on the second day. The place under staffed and or just dis organised. No salt and pepper on table for dinner. Just needs more staff and more staff training. The staff very nice but had to wait a long time for the meal and it stated if you Gluteen intolerent please ask staff. The choice for Gluteen free could have been better and alternatives given. Many gluteen free choices not on. Would go back, just needs time to delevop. Is new I guess.

The staff very nice but had to wait a long time for the meal and it stated if you Gluteen intolerent please ask staff. The choice for Gluteen free could have been better and alternatives given. Many gluteen free choices not on. Would go back, just needs time to delevop. Is new I guess.

The person who greeted us (I think James?) was very welcoming and checked us in quickly. Room felt fresh and had some cool old features. The shower and bed were fantastic. We had a really good pizza and a pint for about £14 each in the lovely gardens (they even put vegan cheese on for me). The breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients. All in all it was a great stay and good value for money. We hope to see you again post-festival in 2027, thank you for having us!

I had to leave before the 8am breakfast so can’t comment, but staff very kindly left me a bag of croissants & jam outside the door. As a lone woman I also felt safe here. Co-op was a short walk away.

Had a very enjoyable overnight stay. It was a nice change of pace to stay in a tavern rather than a chain hotel. The food was good and the beer garden/terrace made for very pleasant surroundings on a warm summer evening. The made-to-order breakfast was also good with a decent range of options. The staff were welcoming and friendly. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely come back.

Fantastic staff, funny, caring, felt very welcomed. Large bedroom and bathroom. Food outstanding for dinner and breakfast. Don’t want to criticise so just suggestions, new blind in bathroom as difficult to drop down, heating needed in bathroom and fix leaking shower tray but it was minor consideration so many amazing points. Location was fab, lovely feel to pub and loved the vintage signs and decorations. Great variety of drinks and locals really friendly too. Although it was very cold we peaked outside and so much space there to enjoy in better weather. Veggie pizza and curry was fantastic and very nice to see lots of variety and flavour. Very reasonable priced too.

Overall a great place to stay if exploring the area. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The large bathroom had a walk-in shower and lovely roll top bath. Very cosy bed and good quality linen. Tea, coffee and water tray provided. Some biscuits would have been nice. Negative was the room was very warm and we could not open windows. Excellent breakfast but limited menu in the evening, for example, no chicken dishes for anyone who doesn’t eat red meat or fish. Deserts not home made and clearly microwaved-one was cold in the middle and to be returned. Reception staff on our arrival would benefit from some training on meeting and greeting, especially as first time stay. That said, we would stay there again.

As we were taking a hot air ballloon flight over Bath we rang The Redan Inn to say we might be arriving late and was told to try and get there before 9pm. So, we changed our plans and went straight there to checkin then double-backed to Bath, just in case. When we arrived at the Inn in the evening the outside drinking area was full of people with loud music playing. Unfortunately, our room, Room 1, was directly above this area. The noise was so bad, we had to close the 2 windows and put a fan on instead, just to hear our TV. It stopped at 11.40pm! In the morning we went to shower only to find there was no hot water! So we had to take a cold shower before breakfast! The shower gel was also empty. At breakfast i told the guy behind the bar about the shower, and another guest came down and also complained they didn't have hot water and that their room was dirty and full of cobwebs. He even had a towel with him he'd rubbed over the headboard, and it was black. We ordered a full English and a veggie breakfast with orange juice only to be told they didnt have any sausages or orange juice! How can a bed and breakfast run out of 2 essential breakfast ingredients? The guy behind the bar had a note book of customer complaints to go through with the manager when they returned and was already on page 4. So, a noisy room, a cold shower and a poor breakfast! Extremely poor! We'd never stay there again.
