Appart-Hôtel Mer & Golf City Bordeaux Bassins à flot

Arrived at 10:15, reception was closed, lights off. Tried calling the number - no answer. Wasn’t able to enter parking garage- it was cold and pouring rain. Another traveler with the same problem luckily found the keys in a side hallway so we were able to enter our room. Room had no bed!! It was a disgustingly dirty pull out sofa. The room was cold - heat did not work correctly. Pillows were thin as paper. There was no real blanket. Towels were scratchy- horrible experience. We’ve traveled all over Europe and this hotel was the WORST place we stayed on this trip.

Really awful service from the reception staff. We called in the morning to ask about the parking we had pre-booked and were asked to park outside with lights flashing and come to reception and they'd give us the code to the parking garage. We did exactly that only to find that they close for two hours for lunch and *even though they spoke to us face-to-face* refused to give us the code that is the same for everyone! "I am on lunch break, come back in 90mins". Terrible. Aside from that, the hotel was fine. The area around is not the best but we had no issues.

Amazing stay in Bordeaux. Hotel staff was very accommodating and professional. Property is well located to stores, metro, restaurants and the center.
