Kimpton Margot Sydney by IHG

Amazing place so clean and staff was so nice. Perfect for walking around Sydney as it is next to the park and so close to public transport. Also you can rent a cycle for free at the hotel. Thank you for having us we will be back!

We stayed at Kimpton Margot Hotel because they are dog friendly and the location in the CBD is great. The place is very clean. The downside is they don’t have their own carpark so we had to find our own around the hotel, and being located in the CBD, it can be noisy at times. Overall, our experience is great and we’d love to come back with our dog again.

Beautiful art deco hotel in great city location. Lovely rooftop bar. Delicious breakfast and loved social hour from 5-6pm. Lobby bar is delightful.

Great place and great location! Breakfast is great, the happy hour from 5pm-6pm was really nice and the gym 🏋️‍♂️ is top notch for a hotel. They also have free bike rentals as well.

Everything was wonderful. Luke's Kitchen is an excellent restaurant. The bar next to reception is very very good. And the pool on the 7th floor is fabulous. Perfect for couples.

We love having pawcation at Kimpton Margot Sydney and our dog had a blast! The location is close to shops. The only downside is there is no onsite parking.

Fantastic freshly remodeled hotel in the center of the CBD. The staff and amenities were great. The room was large, luxurious and quiet. The free happy hour each night from 5pm-6pm was a great way to meet guests and get travel tips. If it's your first trip to Sydney you might want to stay somewhere with a view as this hotel does not offer any views unlike the comparably priced hotels near the water.

Great stay, however it is rather inconvenient that there is no where to pull the car over to drop off bags and check in.

In general an okay hotel with a central location. The hotel is very old, they have kept the old design in many places and most of it looks well-maintained. It was the first time I stayed at Kimpton Margot. The thing that bothers me is the constant noise all over the place. In the lobby at evening the noise from the hotel bar etc. is significant. I had a room at 6th floor and the pool bar on 7th floor had loud music from noon to 10 pm. From 10 to 11 pm you could hear chairs etc. being moved around. It is a central location so you do also hear people yelling from the street. Even at the fitness room the music was so loud. Fitness room was quite big and nice equipment there - absolutely positive. I actually chose this hotel because I wanted to find a hotel with a better breakfast buffer. The breakfast buffet at Kimpton Margot is though limited. Will I return to Kimpton Margot? No, it is too noisy for me.

Clean and tidy facilities. Very comfy Sealy mattress.

The hotel was very clean and had a wonderful scent throughout. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful.

신축이라 전반적으로 깨끗했습니다만 룸메이킹을 요청해도 청소를 하거나 침대의 시트를 갈아주지 않았습니다. 테이블 아래에 벽에서 떨어진 페인트 조각이 있었는데 체크인 한 날부터 체크아웃 한 날까지 사라지지 않았습니다. 먼지알레르기가 있어서 조금 힘들었어요. 그외의 컨디션은 아주 만족했습니다. 조식 메뉴가 아주 좋았어요. 루프탑 바는 일찍 닫는 편입니다.

We enjoyed the quiet room, and large as well. We found the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed , or not well if it was! Had to ring reception.

Very clean room and great option for pet owners in Sydney and abroad. Staff were helpful and friendly both on arrival and at departure. Would definitely come again.

Beautiful, clean, great location!

The staff were fantastic, efficient, attentive and helpful. The suite was comfortable, spacious and luminous. Nevertheless, the room needed a bit details in the dusty cleaning department, for ex the nightstand and lamp´s bases were dusty. Also if this is a 5 star hotel, where´s the SPA? It needed a SPA. Besides that, the hotel is in the perfect location to move around Sydney easily. When I am back in Sydney I will stay here again for sure. Five starts to the Reception´s staff.

An absolutely incredible hotel in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Well connected to all the city has to offer. Beautifully decorated with stunning clean rooms. The highlight for me was the staff- they were all amazing. Housekeeping, the bars, reception etc. all incredibly helpful. Cannot sing their praises enough.

The hotel was really nice, my only issue is that despite booking 8 nights I was given a room without any view whatsoever I literally was facing a wall

Lights in room were hard to figure out and plugs were not user friendly.

The Kimpton Margot exceeded our expectations. From check in to check out the experience was wonderful. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating allowing us to check in early without us asking! The rooms are huge and the amenities are well appointed. Bathrooms are extra spacious with separate tub and shower. The vanity is a woman’s dream, long and well lit. The bedroom is so roomy with space for a couch to relax . The hotel is located in a good area, walking distance to many points of interests including parks, shopping, the QVB, and the train station.

Room a bit dingy for a 5 star hotel compared to other stays in Aus. Some staff were quite blunt at reception. Others friendly enough. Excellent convenient location.

Very disappointing. Stayed Aug 11th and booked a premium room. Kimptons rooftop deck and building next door are under construction. Woken up at 609am on a SATURDAY to construction sounds. Guaranteed checkin was 3pm. Room wasn't ready until 2:48 and cleaning looked rush to be placed on 2nd floor near construction. AVOID. Was only here for one night if longer I would have asked to change hotels. Room and bathroom were big and nice

All staff friendly and professional. Very willing to attend to needs in a prompt manner.,

I emailed the hotel in advance of our visit requesting an early check in and the response was that they would do their best but couldn’t guarantee it and if I wanted to be guaranteed I should book the previous night stay, I chose not to do this. On arrival at the hotel they had no record of my request and said check in was in the afternoon but I could pay $100 for early check in, which I reluctantly did. I think it’s disgraceful that the room is ready and vacant and I was charged $100 for early access. This charge was not made clear in my communications with the hotel in advance of our stay.

Amazing Customer Service from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Friendly staff in all parts of the Hotel. Clean rooms , comfy pillows , bed was ok. Great food especially the Pumpkin Ravioli.

Great location in the city, walking distance to plenty of attraction. Otherwise just next door to the light rail and metro station, perfect for getting around. Nice touch with social hour for free drinks and hang out with other guest. We stayed the night with our pup - Water bowl and a bed provided. Hyde park just round the corner for his toilet break. Despite being a pet friendly hotel, rooms and common areas were clean and very pleasant. Only area of improvement was communication with front desk - We had arranged for a late check out at check in (also a benefit for being an IHG member) and all was sorted. Came check out day, had an abrupt call from front desk reminding us it was past the standard check out time and asking when we will be leaving. I mentioned we had requested for late check out and thought all was sorted out earlier. She cut me off and reminded me that it was subjected to availability and offered to “see what they can do.” Eventually was told it was all good with the late check out (even though this has already been arranged at check in). Came later in the day, we had to decided to do 2 trips to the carpark (not on site) - First to move our belongings and after to come back for our pup as we couldn’t manage it all at once and there was nowhere you could park your car to load/unload your luggage. After dropping our bags off, we came back to our room with apparently a staff inside who said he

My room key did not work and was cut three times. It worked the 3rd time. I was walked to my room by the bellboy who compensated me with a 17$ bottle of champagne… Not good enoungh at the price of this hotel. Had a whiskey in the lobby bar before going out, I ordered it at the bar and paid for it and it took 20 minutes to come to me, it was a neet bourbon whiskey? When asked if I would like another I did not have enough time….

Location is very convenient to shopping malls & attractions. Staff are very friendly & accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel & will surely stay here again on my future visit to Sydney.

Perfect location for exploring Sydney. A bit away from the noise but close enough to go anywhere. Full access to public transport and plenty of food options.

Walking distance to the Sydney attractions. Took the train from the airport to Town Center stop with a short one block walk to hotel. Hotel was quiet, staff gracious, and food was delicious.

Stay was good after room change due construction after 11pm to late breakfast was same everyday tea coffee warm until we spoke with managers

The room was very comfortable with an excellent TV. Loved meeting the various dogs in the lobby. We had dinner in the restaurant, and had the wagyu beef tasting plate; the beef was a bit gristly. Breakfast was excellent.

Great central location near multiple transport options. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast option is definitely worth taking up, as has a great selection and sets you up for the day.

One of the best breakfast in Sydney!

Not sure if it was the hotels fault or Hotels.com but when I arrived they charged me at least TWICE as much as I had reserved for. It was New Years Eve so not much choice- had to stay. Complained to hotel and hotels.con about it and both promised to fix the problem- neither did. A free bottle of wine and a $200 credit does not make up for being ripped off thousands. They bill themselves as a luxury hotel but the rooms are dark and face right into people’s apartments. Pretty lobby but the restaurant is way way overpriced (think $12 for a single piece of dry toast and you get the idea). Indifferent (at best) staff and the servers are very unfamiliar with the food. Altogether a sad and disappointing first few nights in Sydney. Will never stay at a Kimpton again.
