The hotel is a separate block and you will have to check-in at the reception inside the pub which is a separate block. Rooms are clean and tidy, no lifts. Loads of parking space. Pub has great options of drinks and foods option. The breakfast options for kids and adults were also nice.

Stopped here to attend the Ffos Las races, hotel to the side of the pub , room good size , bathroom also large ,we arrived by train taxi price from station var's £8-10 we did this 4 times , once on race day to catch the curtesy bus to the racecourse, hotel as large car park , eat once in the pub , carvery meal was good , staff friendly, hotel is situated in a retail park area , tesco, morrisons greggs maccys all close by

This is our second time but this time ge staying was very bad, start with the bathroom smell very bad mouldo, the shower pip was black so i have to get a spray to ckean myself. The water in the sink woukdntgo through easily so as the water on the shower floor. No one attended our room for the 3 night we were staying .Eng attended to check on the electricity as previous guests report problem yet they attend to it after they put bew guests.we have asjed the engineer to report the problem in the bathroom , he said they know about it , we were very surprised to why they gave us a room with a problem especially the mould as i am Asthmatics we have to buy air freshener, and detol wipe to clean. I must say the staying this time we were not happy as it spoiled our break. In addition the extractor fan was not working also, we hope the hotel attend all the problem b4 putting another guest

Walls were filthy and carpet felt dirty. Waited a while to check in as no one on reception in the pub. Staff very friendly and nice though. Good tea and coffee in the room with plenty of milk to make two drinks each. The trundle bed was very uncomfortable for my son.

The staff were great and the hotel was clean and well presented. It was also lovely and quiet. The only thing is we would have liked separate main shower towels as there was one between us. I’m sure reception would have obliged and provided another, but you have to walk to a separate building to reach reception so putting them in the room in the first place would be better, Other than that, it was a lovely stay.

Overall we were happy with our stay. The room was big enough to accommodate four people. Also a big bathroom with bathtub. Very comfortable matrasses and nice feeling bedding. Good quality towels. Very clean! I would just recommend adding a wardrobe to keep the clothing inside or at least some shelves. We had to keep all our clothings in the bags for five days as there weren't any shelves in the room! Only three hangers were available for us. I did ask for at least two more and they bring them immediately. Breakfast was delicious! Customer service is also good, but it could be better.

Terrible stay but not because of the hotel staff. Stayed in the Family room 204 directly opposite the fire door. Didnt get much sleep as about 40 or 50 times throughout the night the fire door and other room doors slammed shut which woke us up. The vibrations of the slamming door can be felt through the room.

Very convenient location in Llanelli. We arrived late so didn’t eat, but the staff in the pub were friendly when we picked up the key, and it looked nice for food. Room itself was fine, it needed a bit of TLC with the aesthetics, for example the curtain wasn’t on the track properly, but bed was comfy etc. All in all, exactly what we needed though, a good value base for the night and would stay again.

Excellent value in a reasonable area close to the estuary. My room was quiet and comfortable but the door does slam downstairs so some rooms maybe not as quiet. My only grumble is the room was cold and despite putting the e heating to 35 all night it was still quite cold in the morning.

The staff seemed uninterested in there roll, the room was basic, the restaurant was messy with noisy drinkers in the bar area, there was a screaming, swearing child who seemed to belong to one of the staff. The tables were not cleared, very slow service with food left all over the floor. The tables were sticky, overall a very poor show. We will not be returning.

The bedroom was just fine however it lacked any draw space and 6 hangers were not enough so, many things had to stay in my case on the floor. The staff, food and general atmosphere though were top notch. Nothing was too much trouble. A cracking team represented the hotel and did Marston’s proud. Thank you.

Definitely the best hotel experience we have ever had. From the friendly staff to the amazing service we were blown away with how well we were received. We were met with excellent service as well as a clean and comfortable environment. Will 100% recommend and come back again!

Nice big room, linens good quality, very comfy bed, best nights sleep of whole tour. Typical carvery bar good value, breakfast was amazing and great value. Located on out of town retail park but good quality and value if this suits your needs.

Great team, nothing was too much trouble and dealing with an horrendous evening as well. Food was reasonably good but the Carvary left a bit to be desired as it was left out too long under the warming lamps and everything had dried up. Would stay there again.

It was just what I wanted - quiet, convenient and well maintained accommodation with tea and coffee facilities in the room and breakfast options available. I do prefer freshly made coffee with breakfast, not the instant variety! I would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Food mediocre, too much sauce on prawn cocktail, chicken strips presented in enamel dish. Main course mixed grill all overcooked and dried out. Scampi cooked too long, tartare sauce had been in dish for quite a while and had started to dry and was discoloured. No one asked if food ok. Had to get our own cutlery despite a member of staff standing next to us with a box full and not checking if we had enough on our table. Then she came and sat on the table next to us playing on her phone, leaving cleaning sprays/ cloths in middle of restaurant. Breakfast x 2 had to send back as bacon was burnt and had weird taste. Eggs also overcooked. Replacement were better. Room some noise overnight from guests between 2 and 3am. Also periodic noise in room possibly from air conditioning which was really weird. Staff were not very helpful.

I arrived mid-afternoon and didn’t have to wait long to be directed to check in. The room was clean and comfortable on arrival. I returned in the evening to a cozy bed, after enjoying a couple of beers in the pub next door. I didn’t eat in the hotel but it looked a good carvery style pub. The bed a was warm and comfortable and the room spacious. Breakfast the next morning was freshly cooked and delicious. £8.75 too was cheaper than average. I’d definitely visit again.

We stayed at the Sessile Oak, Llanelli for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was spotless and catered to our needs. There was an electric problem, oven not working so therefore they were unable to provide an evening meal and had to close the restaurant side of the business. When we went for breakfast the next morning we had continental breakfast. There was no yogurt or fresh fruit available, otherwise cereals, bread etc available. I appreciate these were not the staff’s problems who accommodated us as far as possible.
