Lovely hotel, great pool and service was excellent.

This stay was booked as a relaxing spa break stay as a birthday gift for my partner. We received no communication from the hotel to advise that the neither the main event of the spa, the thermal pool or the steam room were working otherwise we would have cancelled. We made a complaint asking for a partial refund which was denied and only a free breakfast offered! This is very disappointing for the price paid for this stay. The room was okay but does need a little bit of TLC regarding the decor.

Hotel was lovely, excellent room with massive comfortable bed! Great tranquil setting for a relaxing break. Used the spa facilities shortly after arrival and really second to none. Breakfast was above average but limited selection and juice drinks removed bang on 1030 opposed to letting you finish. Breakfast rolls a nice touch and lovely. Was extremely disappointed with our final experience which was to use the spa at departure only to be told by the receptionist we couldn’t use after 1100, this left us having to ask to use toilets to get changed for the day in. So off we trotted to Glasgow without a shower etc. to make matters worse when waiting in reception other guests check out 40 mins later having been in the Spa. So the lesson is don’t go to check out just go to Spa first. Check in wasn’t the best either, told our “Expedia VIP” drink could be any wine, asked for Rose but then told “well; apart from that”. Also my error at booking was to put 1 adult and 1 child which I changed within 2 mins of booking, hotel didn’t have the update citing that Expedia are “hopeless”. Regardless of the reception experiences the hotel was extremely nice and would consider returning.

Was a lovely hotel and staff where amazing, shame the spa facilities weren’t all working as we booked mainly for the hydro therapy pool and looked like it had been broken for a while but there was no notice of this on advertisement of hotel.

I was really looking forward to using the hydrotherapy pool again as part of a relaxing stay, but unfortunately, I noticed moss and grime in the water (photo attached) — not something you expect in a facility that should be clean and well-maintained. When I raised the issue, I was told the filter needed changing, which was concerning. Regular maintenance is essential, especially in areas promoting wellness and hygiene. It made me question the upkeep of other amenities. A real shame, as the rest of the experience had potential.

The service at Parklands is exceptional. I particularly loved the 'cooked to order' breakfast and the spa. The hydro pool is the best I have ever used and the swimming pool is above average size. Could do with a fridge in the rooms. Room tip: In the upgraded rooms there is a super deep bath which was great.

A great stay, lovely big rooms and the showers in them were excellent. Highly recommend the afternoon tea in the restaurant and the breakfast was very tasty. Pool facilities/jacuzzi looks impressive and the jacuzzi was lovely but overall perhaps a bit run down, a lot of things were out of order and just looking a bit tired.

Parklands Hotel is absolutely excellent. Beautiful room and top quality bathroom. Spa was beautiful and relaxing. Staff friendly and very helpful. Excellent stay. Great location.

The room and spa facilities were fine but the Resteraunt was a real disappointment . We were sat in a waiting area and 2 minutes later told our table was ready . The table still had chips, sauce & breadcrumbs stuck to it . My wife moved her feet and kicked a spoon & fork from earlier diners . When I looked under the table there was loads of food everywhere. The food when it came was even terrible. Burger like rubber and chips that were from a caravan park in the 90s. Not how I expected our anniversary celebrations to be . I never complain about things but the truth is I can’t keep quiet on this . Totally disappointed

, we were looking forward to our 4 night stay here. The hotel reception is not obvious - a sign showing that the carpark and entrance is round the back would be useful. The rooms are large but the carpet in our room was stained and needed steam cleaning. Although the hotel's website does not actually state whether there is a fridge/minibar or a bottle of water in the room, we expected a hotel of this type would have these facilities. To have a bathmat, housekeeping would have to be contacted or one of the hand towels had to be used on the floor. One evening we wanted to have a drink and a sandwich in the bar/restaurant but were told that sandwiches were not available although they are shown on the room service menu. We bought some sandwiches from a local supermarket. If you stay during the summer there is no air con. The bathroom is large and modern but the heater in the bathroom is electric and involves getting on your hands and knees to read instructions and switch on. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location and within easy reach of shopping centres and motorway connections. There is a gym, swimming pool and spa facilities on site and although we didn't use them, they seem to be popular with local residents. Without these facilities on offer, the hotel would probably not be 4 star.

This has to be the worst hotel i have ever seen, its more like a HOSTEL for down and outs !! i can't even begin to describe how bad it is. it truly is dreadful everything is dirty broken or just unfit for purpose in general do not book this hotel it is an absolute disgrace. BED chronically DIPS. Worst painful sleep. towels and Pillows stained off white bin used 599 times. Multiple Stains on Walls and carpets. *Spa* not working or clean facilities ie broken steam room. Was very optimistic about Breakfast but that was a joke. Asked for brown bread egg smoked salmon mushroom. Got white toast hahah and egg rest was out of stock! Roseanne Angela only friendly staff there.

Stayed in room 301 ceiling was stained with mould/dampness tiles in shower area were cracked mirror beside bed was broken but covered with duck tape petals still in room from a previous guest not worth the money charged for the room

We had a one night stop over while visiting family in Scotland and selected the Parklands Hotel as it was ideally place between Glasgow and Aire. The hotel was lovely. Our bedroom was spacious and everywhere was spotlessly clean. In fact probably the cleanest hotel we've stayed in in quite a while. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was lovely. We would most definitely book the Parklands Hotel again.

Fabulous hotel. Easy parking. Clean, spacious modern rooms. Ensuite bath and walk in shower, beautifully tiled and fitted out to high standard. Quiet. Staff very friendly. Breakfast good choice. Spa is great and included in stay. Great value. We will definitely stay again.

The executive suite was lovely - modern and spacious. No fridge and the bathroom fan goes all night. With the door shut it still sounds like you’re on an aeroplane. There is also a very bright green light which we were told was a fire safety light. The swimming pool area was excellent and well equipped. We liked that the sauna, steam room and hot tub was partitioned from the pool area and only for adults. It was modern and everything worked. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and staff were friendly. Good varied menu. There was an issue with one meal and it was very quickly dealt with in a friendly manner as you’d expect. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately we learned on check out we could only use the pool between 3pm and 11am. Each time we said something we were told it was in the terms and conditions. You also need a physical credit card as a pre-payment when you check in. I spoke to the manager on departure about the disappointments we’d encountered as I would not write a review without doing this. His attitude was poor and he didn’t deviate from the clear script. We have frequent mini breaks and we feel this hotel fell short for the price paid. Unfortunately we’ll not be back. Disappointing for what should be an excellent hotel.

Rooms were great, great space, loved the bathrooms massive bath / shower. Bed was too soft for me and duvet was too heavy and thick my sleep wasnt great but thats just me

Lovely hotel and staff attentive. The room was too warm on arrival, that even with the window open it took a long time to cool down.

Great stay. I grew up using the club gym and pool etc and it was nice to stay in the newer hotel. The room was big, and the bathroom was amazing. The bath is huge, the shower is good etc. The bed felt like a spring mattress, I'm 90kg and sunk in the middle a bit so not the comfiest. Not sure if it was a one off but not ideal. I didn't mention it as it wasn't terrible but a memory foam or something would be cool. Apart from that, breakfast was nice, service was very friendly and accommodating and free gym and pool access was great.

Hotel allocated us an adjoining room with a door to people we didn't know. They were noisy throughout the night and could hear every conversation. They were partying till 2:15am and after complaining for playing loud music they continued to talk loudly. A terrible experience. Plus the clientele was more like a Travelodge/ Premier Inn and wouldn't recommend it to more mature couples.

Great place to stay, staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming Its a busy hotel with private functions, unfortunately we had a room above one of those functions and the music was a bit loud for my planned early night, that didn't spoil our experience

Parklands Hotel, despite the glowing reviews, I can unequivocally state that I will never set foot on this property again. My wife and I booked and paid for two nights with breakfast, but an urgent business trip to Dubai forced us to change our plans. The day before our arrival, I attempted to adjust our reservation through the app, only to be met with the frustrating message that I had to contact the property directly. Upon our arrival, the receptionist greeted us with an astonishing lack of empathy. Rather than standing to assist us, she plopped down in her chair, delivering the hotel’s policy with all the warmth of a malfunctioning robot. She insisted that changing our booking was not an option, despite the hotel being far from full. To make matters worse, fans and emergency green lights NEVER turn off in every single room - so you need to block the lights and close the bathroom door- but during the night when I went to the loo, opening the bathroom door woke my wife up, and I felt terrible. The staff explained that the fans in every single bathroom don’t turn off, and customers must simply put up with this inconvenience. They acknowledged the issue but stated that the owner refuses to make any changes. In short, Parklands Hotel has mastered the art of customer indifference. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future—there are far better options that actually value their guests. We stayed at Double Tree Hilton at Edinburgh airport they were really great staff

We did not stay in this hotel due to it not being at a suitable location for us at our first trip to Scotland. I tried to cancel the booking within the allotted time, but could not reach the hotel, no answers. Went through Hotels.com chat help and they could not reach either. Ended up with response that no refund will be given for cancellation because it was past the time. That’s full hotel charges for 2 nights gone. Hotel looked nice in pictures.

I stayed at Parklands Hotel recently and unfortunately had a rather uncomfortable experience. On the morning of checkout, the fire alarm was triggered not once, but three times, each about 20–30 minutes apart starting shortly after 8am. Understandably, this caused significant disruption to sleep, leaving me tired and stressed before departure. Due to the disturbance, I requested a late checkout to recover slightly—moving it from 11am to 12pm, at a cost of £15. When checking out, I spoke with the polite front desk agent and raised the issue, explaining that the only reason for the extension was the repeated fire alarms. She assured me it would be raised with a supervisor and I’d be contacted. Unfortunately, the email response I received from the supervisor (Gil McHugh) stated that because the alarm occurred after 8am and was not deliberately triggered, the hotel declined to refund the £15 late checkout fee. While I understand that safety protocols must be followed, it’s disappointing that a goodwill gesture wasn’t offered, especially as the multiple alarms clearly impacted guests’ rest. It’s the lack of empathy and flexibility that left a sour note on an otherwise decent stay. I hope the management reconsiders how they handle such situations going forward. Under no circumstances would I recommend this establishment for a peaceful night’s sleep.

We stayed for 2 nights as were visiting family and friends nearby. Our room was large and comfortable. We slept well as it was so quiet and I enjoyed use of the pool and spa. We had our breakfast and evening meals in the bar/restaurant, which were excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were all very well trained and welcoming. We will return.

I usually stay here when I am on business but unfortunately it was not up to the usual high standards. I was allocated an accessible room without a bath but as the hotel was full I was unable to change until the next day. The next room I was given had the correct bathroom room but unfortunately when I went to get a bath there was no plug and it was late so I didn’t contact the receptionist. There is also a bright green light that is too bright in the room but have come to live with that during my stay.

Just stayed for 1 nt after a concert. Nice spacious room, pillows were a little too firm but bed was comfy. Slept well, quiet. Nice breakfast, i have food allergies and the staff were very helpful. Bar staff very friendly. Toilets by bar need updating. Rooms are nice quality. Perhaps a security guard in lobby as we were harassed by a drunken guest from the wedding (im guessing) in the hotel who was asking us for cigarettes and being a bit intimidating whilst holding our lift door open. Managed to politely move him along but felt a little uneasy. Apart from that, hotel was easy to find and everything else was fine.

Location convenient for purpose. Large, clean and comfortable room.

Our stay prior to flying out of Glasgow was brilliant! Ideally located in Glasgow South, away from the hustle and bustle, yet a short (20 min) drive to Glasgow Int\'l Airport or Glasgow city center for great shopping, restaurants and amenities. The Parklands Hotel & Country Club allowed us to combine touring and shopping in Glasgow center, with easy & convenient 30 min. access via the M77 and M8 to Glasgow int\'l Airport, along with a great dining experience at Michaels, the in-hotel restaurant. This avoided having the noise of the airport, while allowing us to enjoy the charm and character of the neighborhood, along with an excellent dinner and breakfast; this combination is usually impossible to find at most "airport hotels". Due to on-site directional signage not being as clear as it could be, we had difficulty finding the main entrance to the hotel and instead arrived through the restaurant entrance. But the restaurant manager was great to assist us with our luggage and pointing us in the right direction to the main lobby., mentioning that this happens on occasion. Once oriented, we easily moved our Our executive room at the Parklands Hotel was well appointed with 4 star amenities. The hotel having a lift was appreciated, as we had two large/ heavy pieces of luggage as well as two carry-on pieces. If it is convenience with needed amenities you are looking for while staying in Glasgow, look no further. Parklands Hotel is the place to stay. We\'ll be returning!

Took us a while to find reception and parking. Excellent food in evening and at breakfast.

Good accommodation outside Glasgow but close to all main trunk roads. A typical hotel venue but great for my business overnight stay. Good parking. Huge room (room 306) with Juliette balcony and lots of light.

Lovely area. Very convenient for shopping and lovely surroundings. Bed comfortable.

Spacious rooms, clean and very comfortable. All staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely roof terrace. Great pool, sauna and steam room facilities. A little far out from but bus stop to Glasgow City Centre a 5 min walk away. Would definitely recommend

Very friendly and pleasant stay overall, however the food could be vastly improved. The menu had many strange choices on it and the quality of the dishes could be greatly improved - everything tasted strange and greasy. Would have been better if they'd kept to simple and fresh dishes and improved the quality. Breakfast was excellent, however and met expectations, whereas lunch/dinner did not.

Hotel needs updating, b- fast service was terrible, no plates, glasses and waited 1/2 for food

Hotel is nice but perhaps a bit over-priced for the location and standard of room. Leisure facilities are good but areas need a bit of TLC, some quick fixes which would make it look better. I didn't like having to walk through the restaurant from the hotel reception to reach the leisure centre. Staff at the hotel are great. Very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was disappointing. Poor continental selection (no cheese, no cold meats, etc) and found the cooked breakfast quite greasy.

The hotel itself was a really friendly and welcoming environment, the lovely lady at the check-in desk was warm and friendly which made the whole process move seamlessly. The spa is very clean with 2 saunas, a hot tub and a steam room along with an ice-cold shower. The only negative for me was the restaurant, not the staff as they were nice, friendly and attentive, the menu on the other hand is sparse at best and thats if they even have everything on the menu, i ate half the main as it was mediocre and thrown together. I have stayed in this hotel again but got some food from a local takeaway as its better value for money.

Stayed here for the second time, we always find it a great place to stay, easy to get to and everything you need. Love the hotel room facilities inc the lovely bathroom. Facilities are always great. Breakfast wasn’t as good this time, maybe a new chef or just not cooked as well… also requested an omelette one morning and they said they were too busy to make that. Disappointing when they offer every other type of egg?

Very nice hotel, deluxe room was excellent and big bathroom with shower and bath , the pool and spa are excellent and breakfast very also very good , with freshly cooked hot food and very attentive service , i highly recommend staying here and would happily stay here again

Best hotel breakfast i’ve had.

Staff were very professional and courteous. Room was very nice and the cooked breakfast was freshly made as opposed to a buffet bar.
