A hidden gem. Nice room, and a good breakfast. The pub looked good restaurant looks good. There is no car park but this is not a problem. Ample on street parking from just outside the door.

I work a lot in the area and Palmers Ale House is my only choice when it comes to finding somewhere to stay. The food is fabulous, lovely staff and a good selection beers and wines to choose from!

Short business stay, very welcoming staff, nice breakfast. Booked single bed rooms just because it was overnight stay, room quite small but comfortable and I think price fairly reflected this, not overly expensive. Downstairs bar was nice, staff helpful and polite. Small town with a few dotted businesses and pubs helped pass time when not at work.

Lovely property very warm interaction from all staff. Food was really good both at breakfast and in the evening. Bar/restaurant was nicely decorated keeping the warmth you expect in the country with the modern you get in the city. Staff were friendly without being intrusive. We would recommend to friends

Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the pub was perfect after a decent drive and the choice of beers were great. Room was clean, comfortable and breakfast was made for my early check out. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area

The welcome at Palmers was excellent, so friendly and helpful. We arrived well before check in time, but this was not a problem. We had a drink and some lunch from the pub menu which was really nice and great value. When our room was ready, we were told so and to call at the bar for the key when we were ready. A lovely setting in a small quaint village. A bonus we check out today (Friday) as the village holds its weekly market on the Main Street which we shall visit after breakfast.

Even though my visit was short the staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival, food was very nice even though it wasn't my first choice. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was nice and comfy. There was a couple of issues with the room, the remote for the tv didn't work, the bed moved about a lot and the ledge above the sink was in the way so was trying to avoid bumping my head to look in the mirror, but overall a very good stay, i would come back. Also Breakfast was very nice

I was impressed as soon as I walked in. I have family in the area and have stopped in a number of different places, this is the first time that I've thought I'd come back to a place. The main pub is very clean and tidy with excellent, friendly staff. I stayed in a single room, it had all that I needed, was spotless, and to top it all, the shower was amazing. I'll definitely be back.

I had dinner and breakfast, both were cooked perfectly, I especially enjoyed the evening meal and would happily go there just to eat if i was in the area. The room was attractive but the TV had no signal and I couldn't get on to the wifi. I don't normally watch TV in hotels but as I was staying on my own I was hoping to use it on this occasion, so a bit disappointing. Also my hairdryer didn't work but this was easily and quickly resolved

Parking is in the street limited to 2hr between 8 and 4, but free overnight. Breakfast starts at 0830, but they offered a sandwich if needed before times. Dinner was reasonable. Nicely presented . Het was teleurstellend. Op het afgesproken tijdstip (7:30) kwam ik naar beneden en alles was dicht. Geen ontbijt, geen uitcheck personeel. Na een halfuur wachten was er een poetsvrouw voor de bar. Ik ben vertrokken om 8:30 en nog steeds was daar niemand om de kamersleutel in ontvangst te nemen.

Short business stay, very welcoming staff, nice breakfast. Booked single bed rooms just because it was overnight stay, room quite small but comfortable and I think price fairly reflected this, not overly expensive. Downstairs bar was nice, staff helpful and polite. Small town with a few dotted businesses and pubs helped pass time when not at work.

The welcome at Palmers was excellent, so friendly and helpful. We arrived well before check in time, but this was not a problem. We had a drink and some lunch from the pub menu which was really nice and great value. When our room was ready, we were told so and to call at the bar for the key when we were ready. I had dinner and breakfast, both were cooked perfectly, I especially enjoyed the evening meal and would happily go there just to eat if i was in the area. The room was attractive but the TV had no signal and I couldn't get on to the wifi. I don't normally watch TV in hotels but as I was staying on my own I was hoping to use it on this occasion, so a bit disappointing. Also my hairdryer didn't work but this was easily and quickly resolved

I work a lot in the area and Palmers Ale House is my only choice when it comes to finding somewhere to stay. The food is fabulous, lovely staff and a good selection beers and wines to choose from!

I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've stayed at Palmers and as always the staff were really welcoming. the pub has a great ambience and the food is excellent. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable.

The beer choice was great, food absolutely amazing and staff were lovely, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great tea tray in room too!

Always a pleasure staying here, very attentive staff and very good eye and ear for allergies. The room I was supposed to stay in, had a bad smoking odor. Luckily I could stay in another room. Nice diner, very nice breakfast.
