Diego at the front desk was incredibly helpful and patience. The pool and hot tub were very clean and not super busy which we liked. The only thing we had an issue with is the underground pakring. I would maybe suggest a sign for smaller cars to park in the back and bigger trucks park in the front. I totally understand we own the truck and not a small car and that is mainly our problem not the hotel's but to encourage cars to park in the back maybe Trucks Allowed Here and Cars in the back. Thank you

Extremely noisy hotel. Guests in neighbouring rooms and in the floor above could be heard moving about their rooms, closing doors etc. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance for 2 days during our stay. Would not choose to stay in this area again. Many, many vagrants in this location.

Decent place close to the saddeldome, city parking pad across the street or 30 dollars a night underground, so no matter what you are paying to park which kinda sucks but the building and room are good !

The pool had no clean towels, the jets for the spa not working, the phone in the spa not working. The water cooler on our floor not working. Dining room in our part of the hotel not available. Only one housekeeping staff member working in entire hotel. We payed over $300 for the night and it was despicable.

Second time staying here. It's a great brand new hotel in the downtown core. A little bit of a walk to the train station and not too many restaurants close by. There is a restaurant in the lobby but we haven't tried it out. Superstore is very close. It is close to a shelter so there is a large homeless population that could make some people feel uncomfortable walking around or parking on surface. Underground parking is available for $35/night which is way more expensive than other underground lots in downtown. The surface lot across the street is half the price. Fantastic new pool and hot tub felt much cleaner and well maintained than most hotels we've stayed in downtown. The whole hotel is clean and modern. The rooms air conditioning works great and was quiet, though it had a low of 68 degrees which is warmer than I prefer. It's a great hotel, well priced, and we'll stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown for one night, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations given the over $200 a night price tag. The location is great, especially if you're attending an event at the Calgary Saddledome, but the service was lacking. We sat in the lounge for over 15 minutes while three staff members walked by without acknowledging us. No one even said, "Be right with you," which felt unprofessional. After expressing our frustration at the front desk, the response was underwhelming. The staff simply said, “They must be busy,” offering no apologies or assistance. Also, while they provide bottled water in the room, it's only free for members. Otherwise, it’s $2.50 a bottle, which feels pretty unreasonable for a hotel charging this much. For the price, they should either include the water or leave it out altogether. To top it off, there wasn’t enough parking for guests, so we had to use the lot across the street instead of parking in the hotel’s underground garage. Overall, this stay was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I didnt like how the bar closed at 10pm. It was a Sunday but some people may have flown in later in the day. 10pm is way too early to close a hotel bar.

The rooms were not so clean, we had the odd black hairs on our white sheets, and the smell of the sheets was bad, like when your laundry was still damp and not dried properly, as soon as we open our door, there’s a smell of bad odour fr bathroom, like a sewer smell, our bathroom could used a little TLC, such as just basic cleaning, especially the accumulative dust on the baseboards, not super great with my allergies, so I had to run a damp clothe to clean it out. Ordered room services, my husband ordered the mogley burger, n he said it tasted like cardboard, my chicken wings were a bit bloody, we opted to order room service as wanted to experience just staying at our room to enjoy it, this way we did not have to go out for supper. We were hoping the relax and enjoy the hot tub this morning, before checking out as one perks of able to checkout by noon, but disappointed that the hot tub was closed, was excited soaked our aches n pains, as my husband hurt his back shovelling the snow Thursday night. 😭😭😭😭, but could not used it cuz it was closed. There should have been a notice on Elevators, or fronts desk the nite before.

Pilllows were not usable. Did they each only have 10 feathers in them?! Also, sound proofing was terrible. Could hear everything happening on the street below like I was ground level with my window open. Parking fee was also over the top expensive, missed that hidden fee when I booked.

We had an enjoyable one night stay. All the staff we interacted with from the lounge, to the front desk, to the on site security personnel were friendly, courteous and welcoming. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. We would happily return.

I would never stay here again, the evening front desk person was unbelievable rude and unhelpful. Made excuses for everything I mentioned, the amount you pay per night here is say pay more and go anywhere else. I’ve stayed in many hotels and never been treated so terrible. Do not stay here.

Called the front desk for assistance at after midnight. Asked for a copy of the parking information to be slipped under our door and Alex at the front desk said I would have to come to the lobby and get it. My suitcase was packed for early departure in the morning so I had to go to the lobby in my nightgown to get the slip of paper. Very unhelpful.

Check in was quick, easy and pleasant. Appreciated underground parking availability. Hotel was nice and clean. Yes there are homeless people in the street nearby but no bother to hotel patrons. Nice short walking distance to Saddledome event. King Eddy resturant across the block had great food and entertainment on the way! Will most likely return this hotel without question.

Lovely hotel as I would expect from Hilton. It is a shame about the area in which it is located, I didn’t feel particularly safe walking around, even in the daytime, but was pleased I had a car for going out at night!

This hotel has everything you want in terms of cleanliness, comfort, amenities, service, etc., but for us what sets it apart is location. There is so much within walking distance, we were able to leave the car parked for much of our visit. The Folk Fest, the gorgeous library, Studio Bell, Inglewood, The Confluence, and so on.

Property is in the heart of downtown right next to train line. A little noise filters through from this but it’s not unbearable. The location, like most large cities is a little dodgy with underhoused folk and the challenges that come with that but it’s not unusual. If you are not used to being around these populations you might feel uneasy but I didn’t have any issues. Nice to have a grocery store across the street.

Overall, I give this 5 stars for the property and staff, but 2 stars for the dining. I was pleasantly surprised about how nice this property is. The staff is exceptionally friendly, there is heated underground parking on site, and there is a bar and restaurant on site. The area around the hotel is so-so. It’s conveniently located, but there isn’t much immediately around the hotel except for a Tim Horton’s right next door for grabbing coffee and breakfast. I found the property to be well-maintained, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel dining is where the place really falls flat. As is the case with any hotel dining, the food prices are at a premium. I don’t expect high-end gourmet food in a hotel restaurant, but this food wasn’t especially impressive, especially for the price. For example, I ordered a steak sandwich and it was decent, but the meat was lukewarm and the flavor was fairly bland. The next day I ordered the seafood pasta for lunch and was disappointed with the quality. The shrimp were overcooked and chewy, but worse, the tails were left on. Normally I wouldn’t care, but you have to reach into your pasta and sauce to get the tails off. Also, the menu advertised the dish as having scallops. I am 100 percent certain they were not actual scallops, rather they were some sort of very strong flavored fish cut into little circles trying to mimic scallops. Very disappointing. All that said, I would stay here again, but temper my dining expectations.

Everything was good as expected. We stayed from Sat to Monday. Spacious room, clean, comfy bedding, sports and news on TV, coffee and tea in room. Overall very favourable experience. I just wish parking wasn't so expensive. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Dining is great, though very limited vege options.

The property was great. It was walking distance to the Saddledome. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant the food was great. The continental breakfast in the morning gave lots of options, the only down fall was the coffee but there is a Timmys just up the block.
