Hotel Muli

There is no staff desk. Its a keypad lockbox it worked out and we were able to get what we needed. Pillows were awful although clean. Breakfast was okay but limited seating and access so very crowded and slow. The free parking was full everywhere multiple nights so we had to park on the street down a ways from the hotel. Don't advertise parking if you can’t provide it for all guests! We had to stress about possibly getting towed all night! Then walked to town after we got a spot just so we wouldn't lose it the next night!

The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and somewhat spacious and the breakfast spread was delicious! We got in very late and the instructions for self-checkin were very clear and easy. I liked not having to worry about keys or key-cards to get it (you get a key-code for your room). They have free laundry on site which was very helpful when we got caught in a downpour while hiking to see the active volcano. It was mostly quiet - no noise from other rooms. The only outside noise that was bothersome was the 6am garbage truck. The location ok - not much around the hotel. It's only a 10min drive to Rainbow Road, but not much in a walkable distance (a handful of restaurants, a sculpture museum, and a little green area). Staff was very nice, godd, clean, modern facilities. Would recommend.

Our stay at Muli Hotel was wonderful!!! Check-in was super easy and the staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was spacious enough for the four of us and the beds were really comfortable! The rooms were quiet and peaceful. To top it off, they had 24 hour coffee, tea and hot chocolate available! It was so nice after coming back at night from a long day of exploring to just sit in the lobby area and reflect on our day with a nice hot drink. Plus they had many board games available that we played as a family. The morning breakfast was really well put together with a lot of variety. Lots of healthy and filling food to get you started on your day. The hotel is outside of the city center but trust me, it is better to stay here than anywhere else. Plus you get free parking, so easy enough to drive closer to the city center if you want. We walked it and it wasn’t bad at all. We were sad to leave Muli for our next destination. I highly recommend Muli Hotel!!!

Questo è un hotel self-service, in altre parole non dovrete fare il check in e il check out. 48 ore prima del vostro arrivo, l'hotel vi manderà due (fra gli altri) codici, uno serve per aprire la porta d'ingresso ( e vi servirà ogni volta per entrare in albergo), l'altro per prendere la vostra chiave della stanza che si trova in un piccolo box immediatamente sulla destra dopo l'entrata. Per il check out, basta mettere la chiave nella cassettina sotto il box dove l'avete presa all'inizio. Avete inoltre a disposizione una stanza per effettuare i lavaggi della vostra biancheria. Il personale non vi rifarà la stanza. La colazione è super ed è probabilmente la cosa migliore dell'hotel per cui consiglio, visti i prezzi nell'isola, di approfittarne. La zona non è centralissima, ma avete a poche centinaia di metri la fermata degli autobus 5 e 15 che vi porteranno in centro. L'hotel, come la zona, è silenzioso e tutto sommato buono, occorre solo un pò di spirito di adattamento.

基本的にセルフサービスで、掃除は5泊以上した場合のみ。掃除がないのは別に構わないが、ゴミ捨てとタオル回収だけは毎日してほしい。タオルを下げる場所がなくて困ってしまった。その他は言うことなし。部屋自体はきれいで、共用のレンジや洗濯機、乾燥機あり、コーヒーやジュースが飲み放題で快適。

Nicely decorated, super clean, great bathrooms. Loved the free laundry and breakfast was quite tasty with nice variety.

Excellent self serve hotel for a one night or a few night stays. The breakfast staff were friendly and always helpful and ready to answer your questions. PROS: - Free Parking - although it gets filled up quick in the evenings! but there is also free parking across the street! - Free hot breakfast! Eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, veggies, bread and cereal! - They have a complimentary machine in the common area that offers various type of coffees and hot chocolate as well as hot water for tea (also provided) - There is a secret drawer with items left from past guest (we left some too last week) in the common room - Clean and towels provided. - Laundry room onsite - Free wifi - 20 minute walk to the city ( 40 minutes to the harbour if you are whale watching) - Easy access to the main roads leading out of the city for your road trips! No CONS but thee are some items that may be useful information: - Beds are small compare to what you may be used to. However they are comfy! - No staff on stie, but they are a phone call away. - If you go in the winter or if it's raining the 20 minute walk may not be ideal. Taxis are available across the street at the Hilton. Enjoy Iceland and it's natural beauty.

Easy to check-in and check-out, GREAT BREAKFAST, comfortable rooms and there's free coffee available in the lobby There's a laundry room available for free but there's only 1 washer and 1 dryer so it was hard for me to use it as it was constantly taken There's also parking available around the building but if you arrive late you have to find parking around the street and walk to the hotel, which is not so convenient given Reykjavik's weather

When we arrived we were checked into a dirty room. Left for a few hours and came back; it had been made up nicely. However, the pillows were yellowed with sweat stains, the towels had large holes in them.

The room was in ok condition, but bathroom was poor.. shower head rusty and unuseable. Floor in shower was greenish with alges.. And bathroom had a sewer smell.. Rest was ok.

There was a note on the bathroom counter that room tidying up will only happen if you stay for longer than 5 days. I expect this in America, not in Europe. Also, I happened to look up at the ceiling in my bathroom and it looked there was blood splatter on the ceiling. Breakfast was ok. Upon arrival was unable to get in room. The room code did not work.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfasts and 24 hour lobby refreshments were nice and provided a good place to gather and meet other guests. Would have been nice if closer to city center, but area was nice, safe, and had other hotels and places to eat. All in all a great value.

Great, updated property. Phillip was very helpful and friendly at reception. My only suggestion would be to have more hooks, rods to hang wet towels in the room. All in all, the hotel was great!

Please avoid this hotel. Here is the break down Good: Rooms are modern and clean. Good: Breakfast was pretty good (although it is from 7-11 and once they are out of some items, they don't replace them later. This happened with eggs and salmon). So, go early. Bad: They claim free parking. This means a very small lot with only a few spaces or just park on the street. Plus, a delivery truck for the next property takes 3-4 precious spaces in the very FRONT of the hotel. I specifically chose this hotel for easy parking. HORRIBLE: This hotel is connected with a dishwashing company (probably for Ikea). This is very bad because they unload dishes overnight non a gravel parking lot. The workers are loud and there is a LOT of noise. And they worked all night Saturday and kept me up since 3am with their constant loading, carts, and yelling. NEVER AGAIN. Shame on Expedia for using this hotel.

Room on first floor was only a few feet from the street. Only air flow was from small window on the street. Didnt have blackout drapes and the sun only went down for a few hours in May. No fan in bathroom to remove humidity. Bathroom door blocked access into the bathroom. A heavy person wouldnt have gotten inside. Very dim lighting. Had a great breakfast. Several restaurants were in walking distance.

I stayed 10/10-17/2025. this is a no-frills hotel, bathroom & bed were clean with in-shower toiletries. Conveniently located relatively close to city center (by car) and w/easy access to main highways. My room was rather small but had a small desk and built-in furniture to store/hang clothes & space for the suitcase. USB ports at night stand did not work and temperature settings in the radiator heater were hotter than necessary. I stayed in what appeared to be a renovated area, but not recently and it showed up on my room floor with sections peeling off when pieces of the floor material met. Front desk staff were always corteous & friendly, but not there before 8:00AM or after 8:00PM. Buffet is better quality than most hotels, the coffee machine makes a great capuccino! The breakfast area supervisor lady, was very nice and shared a bag of breakfast goodies for the road with small kids. Drawback is buffet starts at 7:00AM - late if you have to leave early since Iceland attractions are not in the city. Rented a car at the airport but it was not easy to park in front of hotel, so we ended up parking for free across the well-lit street, which felt very safe. Saw many guests picked up by multiple tour operator buses. Hotel has free access to laundry room in case clothes get wet or dirty, but bring soap & dryer sheets. If you need a clean place to spend the night when returning from daily sightseeing activities, this is the hotel for you. I would definitely stay here again.

The lounge was very loud, especially in the room directly next to it. We could even hear the chairs in the lounge moving. I think there could be more soundproofing done there.

WiFi was horrid. Constantly disconnecting. Or completely gone. Staff were wonderful. No AC.

Very noisy on my second night at Hotel Muli, constant banging and disruption from lorries being unloaded on what seemed like a regular basis right below my room even as late as 1.30am, I couldn't sleep and had to be up very early for my flight. Not acceptable and highly unfair considering the money it cost me to stay there.

The property was in a good quiet location. There is a strip of restaurants walking distance. The breakfast was good. The room was small and there was not enough space or chest of drawers to unpack all your clothes for a week. The pillows were very small and not much support. The staff was friendly and helpful.

In summer time the room gets hot and there is not enough air circulation indide room because the windows only open in a small corner. Only one window small corner opens. Needs more wats to let fresh air inside room in summer time. At keast more windows to open not just a small corner.

They never sent me a code to open the door so we were unable to stay at the hotel. Very frustrating when you just come to a foreign country after a long flight and you are also pregnant. We tried getting in contact with the hotel using the phone number they provided, no answer. Good thing it was 3 pm and not dark, we decided to book a hotel across the street at the Hyatt. We should have just booked there in the first place. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else.

The hotel was very nice / as described. We arrived too early to check in, but no issues with storing our luggage at the hotel. What stood out was the desk staff. We had a 5:00 AM airport shuttle, so could not get breakfast. They brought my family a to-go breakfast the night before, which turned out to be a life saver, when our airport shuttle didn't arrive and we had a mad scramble to deal with.

So, it was our first time stay in Reykjavik. Hòtel Múli has a ridiculously poor customer service. As we arrived from the Keflavík airport, we tried to get into the hotel. We could not because as it turned out the hotel is self check-in and guests enter the building by entering the code. No one had sent a code to us. The only e-mail that we had received was: “Welcome ********** ******** Thank you for choosing Hótel Múli Booking number: ********** Your reservation at Hótel Múli Hallarmúli 1, 108 Reykjavík Guest name ******* ******** Check-in Sunday, 28 July, 2024 (after 15:00) Check-out Monday, 29 July, 2024 (by 11:00) Number of guests 2” So, we had to wait under the rain for other guests and ask them to open the door for us. Once we got inside we tried to figure out how to get into our room. There were no one at the reception, we had no e-mail with instructions and we were slightly panicking because we were in a foreign country, Sunday evening, outside is pouring rain and we booked the room and cannot get inside. There were absolutely no staff members and no instructions what to do. Thankfully, another guest had arrived and we asked him for help, he agreed to open a safe with the keys for us, we found the key with our name on it and after half of an hour of struggle got in the room. However, then we had another problem.We could not even go outside to find a place to eat because we did know the code to open the door and get back inside. The hotel refused to issue a refund

The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed meeting other guest, if not for them, we would have been locked out of the facility upon arriving the first night. We did not get a welcome email with after hours check in instructions. No staff is on location past 21:00 local

I was unable to get into the building because I never received an email. I attempted many times to call the number for the hotel from 10am until 3:15 pm. At 3:15 when someone finally answered they couldn't help and didn't seem to know anything about the hotel. they kept referring me to an email i never received. With the help of other customers that also could get in we figured it out. The staff was not available and when reached were no help. This is a management issue. Someone with knowledge of the facility should be available.

The hotel has over 100 rooms but only one washing machine and one dryer. At night, there are absolutely no staff on-site — if you need help, your only option is to call God. One night, we returned around 10 p.m. and found there were no bath towels. We couldn’t find any staff anywhere. When we called for assistance, we were told no one could help until the next day. And if your phone doesn’t have international roaming, not even God can be reached.

Self check in was a first time experience for me and I thought it was great. We arrived early and had free luggage storage. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The first night we were there they had a power outage that was unexpected in the area and manage organized a candle light snacks and board games in the breakfast area. It was a great way to keep us safe and engaged. Awesome idea! Breakfast was great and the ladies working it were happy and helpful. Would highly recommend staying.

They had great new updated rooms. The breakfast buffet is always amazing. Free parking its about 12 min drive from downtown. Close to the kringlan mall. Phillip was so helpful. We got there a day earlier than expected and he got corporate on the phone to get us an extra night same day and to make sure all our check in codes would work. He took great care of us

Super fint værelse, god og rolig beliggenhed. Flere restauranter er lige rundt om hjørnet. Landsholdsfodboldstadionet er i øvrigt 10 minutters gang væk. Lige en speciel tak til receptionisten Patricia som var yderst venlig og servicemindet. Vi kunne sagtens finde på at booke Hotel Muli når vi en dag kommer tilbage til Island.

The property offers great value. While it’s away from the city center, you’re not too far away as the city isn’t that large. We appreciate the free parking. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was relatively spacious and offered ample space for our family of 4. The included breakfast offered was standard but bottomless and very convenient. We would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.

Loved the Muli Hotel! Location was great and the staff was awesome. 5 - minute drive to the Centar of Reykjavik. The room was so clean, Breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, pastries, and so delicious Mediterranean food, so “Great way to start the day!" This hotel delivered excellent value and we enjoyed free breakfast! The staff at Hotel Muli were fantastic! I strongly recommend this hotel! Great location if you're looking to explore local dining spots - everything was within walking distance or 10 minutes driving. Beds were super comfy, and the room was so quiet. Definitely will come at this hotel again with my family!!!

L'hôtel est neuf cela se voit, le personnel est très compétent et très courtois vraiment gentil, le café le chocolat le thé est bien d'autres boissons sont à volonté. L'hôtel est un peu excentré mais vraiment pas loin du centre-ville en taxi. En taxi où on est en centre-ville en moins de 10 minutes. Ok allez en centre-ville qui coûte moins de 5000 yes car soit environ 6 ou 7 € Il y a une ligne de bus vraiment pas loin de l'hôtel. Aussi lorsque l'on appelle un taxi avec le téléphone gratuit de l'hôtel il arrive en moins de 3 minutes. De l'hôtel à l'aéroport international iil y a environ 50 minutes de route et cela coupte environ 150 € pour arriver à l'hôtel Molly les chambres sont vraiment correctes

I stayed here for 3 nights. There are no staff other than limited catering staff on site. Breakfast was a complete nightmare every day due to limited seating andlimited food which ran out as soon as it was delivered

The hotel was chosen for its location as it was close to the port which we liked since we started a cruise. The breakfast was good and the coffee exceptional.

Overall, a good place to stay in Reykjavik. If you don't mind walking, it's possible to see most of the city's attractions on foot. Our room was compact, but sufficiently large for two people with two large suitcases. The beds were quite small/narrow but comfortable with clean linen. Breakfast offered a reasonable variety and the free coffee throughout the day was a lovely bonus. Guests can bring their lunch and dinner and use the breakfast area to eat it - a microwave is available. There are few restaurants within a 10 minute walk and a Netto supermarket about 600 m away.
