Alagon D'antique Boutique Hotel & Spa

Pool was small, gym equipment pretty poor. Neither bike was working. Enjoyed free foot massage. People at front desk helpful. Location very central but reasonably quiet. I would stay at again.

The staff were extremely lovely nothing was a problem. Especially Kati. The rooms were very clean, great selection for breakfast. The pool and roof top bar were great as well

Good location, has everything you need, great breakfast, helpful staff. The only comment is that the SPA and the pool/rooftop area are looking a little dated.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Good buffet breakfast. Nice rooftop bar with pool, spa etc. Caught a couple of lovely sunsets during their happy hour. Excellent central location.

My room was spotless and super cute on the first night they came in to turn the bed down with a sweet dreams card. The pool was big enough to have a swim and I loved the jacuzzi. The free foot massage and evening drink were a really lovely touch. I had a body massage at the hotel which was really good

A beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff! Breakfast, lunch and dinner all delicious! The pool is on the roof. A bit crowded for lounging before and after a dip. But, there is a hot tub/Jacuzzi. The spa is very nice! The gym is small, but has good quality equipment. The room is very luxurious. My room didn't have a window. But, hey, i went there to sleep. Unless youre on a top floor with a veiw, it doesnt matter. The hotel is decorated in antiques in the lobby area! So cool! High speed wifi (around 30 to 40 MB/sec). Good for watching youtube, etc. Large tv in the room with all kinds of channels from all over the world. Walking in the area is great to get to almost all the highlights of the city. Miseums, markets etc. Tons of little shops in the area too! I loved this place! Id stay here again!

Clean,and comfortable room, kind staff, ViP gifts, everything was perfect but pool was small and too crowded. We could not get in there 😭

I did not like the many elevators you had to find to get to your room. I did not like the music so loud at the roof top bar.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff were super attentive. The rooftop jacuzzi was great. The spa was great as well

Great value for money and friendly service-minded staff. But can't ignore the very distinct smell of sewer in reception area and none sound proof rooms.

Noisy and dirty, staff are rude

The hotel room was nice but very noisy. We were woken up many times a night by guests coming and going in the corridors, talking and slamming doors. Completely normal things that we are not usually bothered by but which were very loud in this room. The hotel is centrally located and the staff was nice.

Shower water flow very bad and a bit old.

Walls were very thin. I could hear my neighbour brushing his teeth. Other than that the service was brilliant

We stayed in a King executive room for four nights. Room was spacious and bath had separate tub and large shower. Comfortable bed with robes and slippers. Our only problem was with getting hot water. We had hot water in tub but not in shower. We let hotel staff know three times but was never fixed. Another friend stayed there as well and had plenty of hot water. Must have been a problem with our room.

Pros: location, friendly staff, clean, complimentary foot massage was excellent, decent breakfast Cons: only 1 elevator, the shower was weird and hard to opperate without spraying water everywhere, pool is smaller than it looks in the photographs, bed was hard, rooms are not very sound proof - was hearing "house keeping" knocks down the hallway before 9am.

Dangerous location if you arrive late at night from the airport. Group of men standing near hotel across the street at 3 am when we arrived. After Grab car drove away one of them came towards us but turned around when hotel attendant came to help with our luggage. Beds are hard. Shower has almost no water pressure and took a long time to even get slightly warm. Sign in bathroom hanging says in English Do Not Flush Toilet Paper Down Toilet. (It could plug drain). About 2 hours into our sleep after arriving we get a phone call waking us up about 5 am asking if we are ready. Sounded like hotel front desk but they called the wrong room, caller even repeated our room number then hung up when they realized they called the wrong number. The “bottled water” in the room are the reusable glass bottles with a rubber cork. Looks like the bottle has been reused about a 1000 times from the wear on the cork. No wonder the hotel attendant said it was unlimited free bottled water when we checked in. Room has wear and looks old. Much better options in other parts of town. Hotel tried to make things better when we were checking out early from our multi night booking there but it was too late by that point. We didn’t feel comfortable or safe at this hotel and were on our way to a more expensive safer hotel.

My room was very small no windows like a box

Great location, team, value, clean, nice rooms, nice pool. Second time in 2 months. The wifi this time kept cutting out on me and blocking some basic flight and bank links, not sure why. Otherwise everything was fantastic including the free breakfast.

Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. They took great care of me. Have stayed with Alagon on at least four previous occasions.

Nice breakfast with many selections. Staffs are average friendly. Dislike of the $50 room deposit when check in and must be in cash without giving head up when making the reservation. Hotel refuse to take credit card for the deposit.

We chose Alagon Hotel and Spa based on its 9.0 “Exceptional” rating and convenient District 1 location. Unfortunately, our experience was frustrating and disappointing. At check-in, we were given a long list of rules, including a pricing chart for stains on linens and towels, with fines for everything from makeup smudges to minor marks. Even worse, a sign above the toilet instructed guests to dispose of toilet paper in an open trash bin—an unsanitary policy not disclosed before booking. The spa service was equally frustrating. We booked a session through Mr. Mathew Nguyen, who confirmed before we left for a tour. Upon arrival, we were told he had left, and Ms. Huang Vy denied any record of our booking. After back-and-forth with the spa manager, Mr. Trung Nguyen, we were finally accommodated—only to have our 90-minute session cut to 45 minutes with no explanation but still charged in full. Communication was terrible, with staff dismissing concerns and ignoring guest requests. The worst part came at checkout (4 a.m.), when staff inspected our room for stains and toilet paper compliance before letting us leave. We felt like they were holding us hostage. We were also charged for services not received, with staff refusing to adjust fees. Hidden charges, poor service, and unprofessional and rude staff make this hotel’s high rating misleading. Future travelers should beware.

Excellent staff, very helpful and welcoming. The room was excellent, very clean and provided lots of extras ....umbrella, iron, hairdryer etc Lovely touch free cocktail and chips every evening, also complimentary meal in their restaurant and complimentary foot massage. Great location and a very highly recommended hotel. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Incompetent staff with a bad attitude and zero reasonable thinking

Hotel does not provide me with the same room type which I booked. Keep me changing the room along my stay. Eventually, I was requested to change 3 times of room for my 3 nights stay. It is tremendously annoying me. As the Expedia Gold tier, always UNABLE to enjoy the room upgrade privilege at all. It does not bring me any privileges at all.

From the minute we arrive we felt very welcomed by the hotel staff, in particular Tran Luong was extremely helpful.

The staff was AWESOME, special thanks to Mathew Nguyen, he helped us plan the remainder of our stay in Vietnam. His knowledge, patience, and kindness was exceptional! Great place!

The hotel is excellent. The food they should improve it a little better

The room was very clean, the whole hotel was clean. Breakfast was very delicious. The staff was very helpful and nice. Veronica at the front desk was very nice and informative and assisted with all my needs. I had a massage on my ladt night and Vy was excellent.

The rooms were large with comfortable beds. While breakfast is included, they also gave us a free cocktail every day, one dinner for two and a foot massage in their spa. We loved the rooftop bar. The hotel is close to dozens of restaurants and you can walk to many attractions. Shopping is very close by as well. The staff are excellent and attentive to your needs throughout the property. I'd definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here - the rooms were great, the staff were lovely & the breakfast was great with a good variety. It has a good rooftop pool & great views of the city. The only downside was how expensive the laundry was compared to all our other hotels - they charge by the item instead of by kg.

The breakfast was amazing. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet room. Massage was excellent. Cocktails on the roof bar very relaxing. I would recommend and would stay again.

The hotel is great. The breakfast is very good and varied, and the service is excellent. Lunch and dinner are very good. All points of interest are just minutes away.

The place was centrally located and close to most attractions! We received some free dinner vouchers as part of our hotel package and the food was not very good but besides that the stay was great.

Good location. Wonderful staff. Breakfast buffet had everything you need. Rooftop area was lovely to relax in. Value for money was excellent considering the vouchers given at check-in (complimentary 30 minute foot t, cocktail each night, among others). Highly recommend

The staff was 5 stars. They helped with everything we needed and was so friendly. The hotel was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was AWESOME!!
