Great location. There was no lobby or area to spend anytime outside of the room. It was very loud in the room, you could hear the noise from the street and the HVAC unit. The bathroom door did not close and the shower was built into a free standing tub and was very low.

Beautiful cozy Inn, great location, very congenial and helpful staff. I wish the stairs had better lighting. Yes, there was an elevator but if you wanted to use the stairs they were pretty dark. Other than that, it was excellent.

I can find no fault with the staff, they were excellent. Our room was very small which makes the lack of any common area a hardship unless you want to trade off sitting in the one small cafe chair. Coffee machine is fabulous, a healthy option like an apple or banana would be nice to accompany the coffee. The linens were first class even Frette bathrobes, although one was frayed. Window unit A/C impossible cycled all night which didn’t seem to have any relationship to the desired temperature setting. Hotel is dark not cheery. I would rate this hotel a C+.

We enjoyed the suite during this off peak visit. March is a quiet time in Nantucket but was charming in its own way. We enjoyed our walks thought the area, the good food nearby, and the comfort of the room. A world class shower- 💦 - so much water pressure! This room has its own entry which was luxurious. The coffee service was appreciated by this caffeinated duo. John, one of the innkeepers too time to chat with us and give us directions as to how to enjoy the surrounding area. Access to the rest of the island is easy either by the Wave, the currently free bus service, or by the nearly instantaneous arrival of Uber rides (really be ready when you call them they appeared in 30 seconds!). Tager, our little schnauzer, was very comfy with us and we all enjoyed exploring.
We enjoyed the suite during this off peak visit. March is a quiet time in Nantucket but was charming in its own way. We enjoyed our walks thought the area, the good food nearby, and the comfort of the room. A world class shower- 💦 - so much water pressure! This room has its own entry which was luxurious. The coffee service was appreciated by this caffeinated duo. John, one of the innkeepers too time to chat with us and give us directions as to how to enjoy the surrounding area. Access to the rest of the island is easy either by the Wave, the currently free bus service, or by the nearly instantaneous arrival of Uber rides (really be ready when you call them they appeared in 30 seconds!). Tager, our little schnauzer, was very comfy with us and we all enjoyed exploring.

Great hotel on a very BUSY street. Hotel is nice enough. One night we were at the front of the hotel and it was so LOUD until 2am. Rooms are small and it you have a large suitcase there is NO ROOM! NONE. I can’t believe the price of the room they get for this small of a room. Everything was fine but the rooms are way too small for us! Sorry Grayson, we won’t be staying again. Come for the bar and restaurant…very good!

The friendly staff were helpful and there to help with any of your needs from the restaurant recommendations to providing great blueberry muffins. The location was convenient to everything that the island has to provide. Rooms are small but provide everything that you need to be comfortable. Very quaint.

We had a beautiful and delightful stay valentines 2025 at graydon. It was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. We also had a top notch dinner at Via Mare the restaurant located in the hotel. Very romantic spot!!!!

Definitely worth upgrading to the King Suite for the best experience! Spacious, immaculate, comfortable, and charming accommodations with the best location in town. John and the staff were so kind and did a wonderful job of taking care of us! We had a spectacular mother/daughter weekend on the Island!

A beautifully appointed inn with moody blue and mahogany hallways, bright, comfortable bedrooms and the best bathroom I have ever have ever seen. I stayed during the very quiet period just before Christmas Stroll. High winds canceled my ferry, but the staff welcomed me to hole up in one of the library rooms until the later ferry departed. The charming and conversational manager even checked in and offered tea. I felt very welcomed and will return.

This property is beautiful and Room 15 has wonderful light/windows on the corner. Our only issue was the noice factor; it’s in the heart of town so groups of people leaving restaurants/bars can be loud at night. If you stay here, on several levels, it will meet your “White Lotus” expectations.

Front desk sraff very helpful. Room very small. Safe and fridge hidden behind cabinets, in dark entrance, didn’t even know they were there until the day of departure. Very convenient to Main Street.

Very nice place. 2 Blocks from ferry docks. Right in downtown. Most things walkable. Restaurant and bar were closed for season during my visit. I had a room on the first floor which was very susceptible to road noise. Also, room did not have a desk, so working in the room was make-shift. Overall, very nice place to stay, but I would recommend staying on upper levels.

A beautifully appointed inn with moody blue and mahogany hallways, bright, comfortable bedrooms and the best bathroom I have ever have ever seen. I stayed during the very quiet period just before Christmas Stroll. High winds canceled my ferry, but the staff welcomed me to hole up in one of the library rooms until the later ferry departed. The charming and conversational manager even checked in and offered tea. I felt very welcomed and will return.

The friendly staff were helpful and there to help with any of your needs from the restaurant recommendations to providing great blueberry muffins. The location was convenient to everything that the island has to provide. Rooms are small but provide everything that you need to be comfortable. Very quaint.

Was no way to control the AC in the evening and was sweltering hot, needed to open up windows to the street and was extremely loud. Fruit flies in the room. Staff was not very accommodating or found ways to make up for it.

This property is beautiful and Room 15 has wonderful light/windows on the corner. Our only issue was the noice factor; it’s in the heart of town so groups of people leaving restaurants/bars can be loud at night. If you stay here, on several levels, it will meet your “White Lotus” expectations.

Great hotel on a very BUSY street. Hotel is nice enough. One night we were at the front of the hotel and it was so LOUD until 2am. Rooms are small and it you have a large suitcase there is NO ROOM! NONE. I can’t believe the price of the room they get for this small of a room. Everything was fine but the rooms are way too small for us! Sorry Grayson, we won’t be staying again. Come for the bar and restaurant…very good!

Very nice place. 2 Blocks from ferry docks. Right in downtown. Most things walkable. Restaurant and bar were closed for season during my visit. I had a room on the first floor which was very susceptible to road noise. Also, room did not have a desk, so working in the room was make-shift. Overall, very nice place to stay, but I would recommend staying on upper levels.

We had a beautiful and delightful stay valentines 2025 at graydon. It was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. We also had a top notch dinner at Via Mare the restaurant located in the hotel. Very romantic spot!!!!

This beautiful boutique hotel combines old world charm and stately architecture befitting a royal fleet captain with well appointment rooms, lush bedding, and decoratively tiled bathrooms. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and they go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. The abutting restaurant is super convenient and cozy with a unique bar. Although it’s operated by a different management team, it feels well integrated with the hotel. The hotel is located in a premium location within a couple blocks of the town center. Access to restaurants, shops, ferries, and the Whaling Museum couldn’t be more convenient. This is my favorite hotel on the island.

This is a BEAUTIFUL property. Staff was helpful and friendly, we were in room 16 which I would highly recommend with its double sink and charming view with lenten roses in the window boxes. We had a poor experience at the correlating restaurant via mare, which we would decidedly NOT recommend. I think my only recommendation for management is to run their own restaurant and turn some of that space into a sitting area for guests with tea/coffee.

We stayed with a 6W old newborn and they had a pack and play ready for her in the room. They have an elevator to get into the building but it needs a staff member to use. The location is wonderful. The staff was helpful. It’s expensive as expected for Nantucket in the summer but worked well for the trip
