Just be mindful there is no swimming pool here, it is at the Hyatt House which is across the street. My kids were bummed because the rep on the phone confirmed that there is a heated pool but upon check in they said it’s at the other facility. I stayed on the customer service line for an hour to get someone to confirm if we could use the facilities at the other Hyatt hotel because we were given inaccurate information (it’s just right across the street) but they didn’t acknowledge it. So that was a bit of a setback for my kids, overall, the stay was good, enjoyed the breakfast too! Convenient to many shopping centers and also the Berkeley Marina bay!

This is was a great hotel, convenient to visit family in the area. Only one elevator worked while we were there, it took a long time. We were only able to use stairs to go down, there was no other way to get to our room.

The side tables were not clean properly. The sleeper sofa the cushions did not align so there was always a gap when sitting on it. The view of the room was a little scary because of the people doing graffiti in the back of the hotel. Also, there should be two curtains, one that is a little sheer to let light in, but still have privacy and another which is room darkening. The hotel lobby is beautiful.

This property was dirty. First room had ants so they moved us to a different room. That room had dead flies in the bathroom, crumbs on the floor, and our daughter woke up covered in what appear to be bed bug bites. Highly recommend you stay elsewhere.

I felt that everything was great at the hotel till we woke up and there were ants everywhere, even in our beds. It took two calls to the front to finally get someone to come look at the infestation. When they guy arrived, all he did was clean them up. I appreciate that, but no one acknowledged how bad it was. They just brushed it under the rug. I ordered food the previous night and the little bit of leftovers I had was crawling with thousands of ants. And to know the ants were in the bed with us while we slept was disgusting.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place! The front desk service was excellent and check-in was quick and easy. The parking structure is conveniently located nearby and costs $25 per night. Complimentary breakfast is included with plenty of options, which our family really enjoyed. The only minor downside was that one of the elevators was out of service, so the wait was a bit longer at times. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back again when traveling in the area.

When my wife and I checked in, the woman at the front desk completely ignored my wife. Didn’t greet her, or acknowledge her at all. Every word the employee said was to me only, no eye contact to my wife, nothing. It made her feel invisible and unwelcome. This had a sustained affect on my wife during her stay. It’s unacceptable. I am white. She is black. We can’t help but feel that this had something to do with, so I am speaking up with this review. Not okay.

Overall, a pleasant stay in one of the better locations in the Oakland area for both convenience to highways and amenities. Bay Street in Emeryville offers excellent shopping, restaurants and even a movie theatre just away from the hotel. We had a house keeping mishap and hotel management was quick to resolve it for us.

This is my second time staying at Hyatt Place Emeryville and it was a good choice again. Location is good, easy in and out, close to Berkeley, close to Oakland, short drive across the Bay Bridge to SF. Hotel has good amenities, is very clean and is close to eateries and shopping needs.

Great Place to stay!! ... Haven't been back for awhile with the family, and what a treat this place is ... Right off the freeway, but no freeway noise heard ... Great location, right next to what looks like great street to walk and shop ... the area seemed very safe, even my wife and daughter walked down to the shops ... later I walked with them to lunch and was very impressed with the shops, food places, and even security ... parking next door was not an issue either, with a short "safe" walk back at night ... The free breakfast was also very good for free nowadays ... Everyone seems to love it ... Will be staying here everytime we come down to visit family and friends!!!

I had the turkey pesto (ok) and the chicken breast sandwich (awful). Thin chicken that must have been freeze-dried and then became leather. We only stayed for one night and had a room facing the train track behind the hotel. I was a little worried about the train noise, but we were pleasantly surprised that other than a low rumble when the freight trains would go by we didn't hear a thing. The room was clean and well kept, nice and spacious for the two of us. The complimentary breakfast was decent. It was busy, but the staff kept it well stocked when the food got low. The location was nice with the outdoor shopping center right across the street with plenty of dining options. It made for a pleasant pre and post dinner walk. Overall we were happy with our stay and would book again.
