Everything was good. Only hiccup was the transportation as we requested an airport ride but the driver wasn’t available but they staff did call an Uber so only a slight delay.

Even though the property was new, the decor seemed dated. The wallpaper in the bathroom and in the room was ugly. However, the bed was comfortable and the TV is a large flat screen with Netflix. I was impressed by the breakfast sandwich options (particularly the chorizo sausage). My wife says "excellent hotel coffee" (Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf brand). Excellent location vis a vis the OAK airport but somewhat inconvenient for restaurant options. On weekdays (M-F), there is a Harbor Bay Ferry boat service to San Francisco (only a 1 mile walk). There is a $16 parking fee for automobiles, which needs to be disclosed upfront. Overall the Home2 Suites is a nice option for staying in Alameda, particularly when the price is under $150 per night (including the parking and breakfast)!

This is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. This hotel is really well thought out. It has everything we need, which is great when traveling with our 5 year old. I even like the lighting in our room, which is really hard to find. The lights are nice and warm. Anyways, great stay. The only issue is walking distance to anything. Best to have a car when staying here.

the location was quiet, safe and convenient to the airport and close to the bay tucked away near residential and business park. rooms are clean, comfy and have kitchenettes. best plus are the filtered water stations throughout. we have stayed twice and will stay again when visiting alameda and the bay area.

Room was nice and functional. Appreciated a fair sized fridge. Bed comfortable Relatively minor annoyance's: At check in would have been easier to come in the main doors or given clear directions to the back door. We wandered around a while. TV was ok except the video will fade totally out many times. Figured out a hack but a hassle. I kept trying to fathom why we had to put a key card in a device to allow the lights to come on.

Really nice, clean, facility with minor annoyances in the room that were aggravating, nonetheless. There was no desk lamp on the desk, just a desk lamp that was apparently meant to illuminate the dining area. If I'd stayed more than two nights I would have moved it to the desk. There was no pen or notepad in the room. Didn't realize how handy that was as I can't recall ever staying in a motel without this seemingly minor amenity. The refrigerator made such a noise when it was running that it was difficult to sleep. I unplugged it. (Room 235)

Nice facility. Rooms well set up for multi-day stay. Room large and thoughtfully designed with nice desk area, and curtain separating the bed from the couch and work area. The only problem was the bed- lumpy and uncomfortable. We’d be back, except for major concern

Our room was comfortable and spacious. The only downside was the thin floors since we could hear every footstep of the folks in the room above us. The breakfast was excellent and had a variety of foods to choose from. I would totally stay here again as long as I am on the top floor or had quieter folks above us.

Almost everything was very good. The front desk person, however, was not very friendly or hospitable. She barely spoke in full sentences. The impression the front desk person makes on newly arriving customers is EXTREMELY important. As they say, you only get one chance to make a first impression. She didn't make me feel very welcome.

I paid for my reservation when I booked the hotel. At 10:00pm, when I was finally done with work, my colleague and I went to check in at the hotel. To my frustration and surprise, the hotel informed us that our reservation did not exist. They stated that Hotels.com never paid for the reservation, therefore they marked our rooms as available and booked to someone else. The worst part is that the hotel was completely booked up, as was their sister hotel next door, and the hotels close by. I was extremely frustrated. The front desk finally was able to finnagle 1 room with one bed and one pull out couch. I appreciated the effort, but it was one out of two rooms and after being at the front desk for an hour. Super aggravating situation.

Staff was courteous but refused to offer any solution to a LOUD party the hotel booked in an event space below the rooms featuring a live band/karaoke. On the 4th floor with two little kids and it sounded like we were at the party. Ended 1am our time. Only option the hotel was willing to do was downgrade our room to one with fewer beds, so either way, no sleep for us!

They discriminate against certain bank cards. Even if you paid in full. I've stayed a few times in the last month and never had an issue until this stay. The front desk clerk was an older, black woman with black framed glasses sternly told me the don't take chime debit cards. It's not a prepaid and it has the visa/debit logo on it. I was so confused and felt uncomfortable. She just kept repeating that they don't take it and that she was only letting it "slide" for me. I asked the other front desk clerks and they seemed to be under the impression that it’s only for virtual wallets, cashapp cards, and prepaid cards. No one could give me a straight answer other than they would talk to upper management about it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll stay again. Which sucks because aside from this, i have enjoyed my past stays.

Perfect for a night in Oakland. It's about 6 minutes from the airport and 8 minutes from The Arena. Would definitely stay here again. The hotel also seems very new. Check in was smooth, and the free breakfast was average.

It’s a nice hotel with great rooms but it doesn’t really have any food options nearby. The hotel next door has a bistro but they have VERY limited options on their menu and the one night I decided to go there they were closed because apparently they “didn’t have anybody to work”. Overall the property is nice but if you don’t rent a car you’ll spend a fortune on food delivery.

Great safe location. We enjoyed our stay here in Alameda. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to our concert in Oakland. Very clean. Great breakfast. Planes flew overhead but it didn’t bother us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The only negative was a rowdy LOUD group of visitors in the elevator area on our floor at 2:45 am. ( our room was right by the elevator!)

I just love the fact the hotel was near to the airport, Downtown Oakland and Alameda. It was great service, great breakfast bar, overall the best hotel I've stayed in for quite awhile.

Stayed for a week during the holidays with my dog. Great location in a quiet office park area of Alameda. The nearby Oakland airport runway is not an issue, the rooms are very well-insulated for sound. Great walking trail on the Shoreline path all the way up to the ferry to San Fran. Newer building, super clean, good large breakfast option. Only about 7 min to the main Park St area of Alameda for dining options. You do need a car here.

My Hotel room was spacious, had a microwave and Fridge, Rooms are cleaned daily, i loved everything besides breakfast and being charged a parking fee. Something has to be done about their breakfast it was horrible.

The room was clean, the EV charger worked well, and despite there being only a couple of them, one was always free. Most chain hotels play music constantly in the lobby, often too loud, and have TVs on constantly that are also too loud. At this hotel, both were on low volume and not dominating the vibe. The free breakfast was pretty good - coffee was flavorful, and they even offered chicken sausage instead of pork sausage like most other hotels. The eggs were organic and farm-raised also.
