4145 By The Sea Inn & Suites

The hotel was a basic room with limited amenities. On the Expedia website the listed fees for extra stuff was not accurate. For example if you want to check in early Expedia says the fee charged is $50, they charged me $60 and got defensive when I questioned it saying that already was a discount. If you want extra towels they charge you (you are provided 2 each of bath towels, hand towels, wash rags and beach towels) there is no daily househouse keeping. They only clean the room/provide new towels if you are there over a week. There is no pool (which i didn't notice when i booked the hotel so just be aware) the outside sitting area is small but nice however, there were big dropped palm leaves that had not been picked up. Overall it's a cheap place to stay for 1-2 nights and in a very walkable area to dinner and the beach. I stayed by myself for 1 night on the way down to the keys but had my husband been with me 2 towels would not have been enough. No onsite staff, you check yourself in with an email you recieved the day before. Most likely would not stay here again because they charge extra for everything. I think it's ridiculous to charge for early check in when the room was not occupied the night before and it appeared I was the only one there in the entire place but just my opinion.

We wish there would have been an ice machine on the property. Also, bath soap and tissues....otherwise we enjoyed our stay at 4145. Very friendly owner and staff.

This property is perfect, this is our second trip to Florida and we’ve stayed here both times! The unit is very clean and has everything you need. It is literally a three minute walk to the beach as well as restaurants etc. They also have beach chairs, umbrellas, toys etc in the shed located on the property. 10/10 book it!

Great location, walkable to the beach, bars and restaurants. I stayed in Azure 7 with access to the patio. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels good water pressure. The only thing that I would say is they need to update their beach chairs. They are a little dated, but overall I enjoyed my stay and I would definitely stay again.

Great location to go to beach and enjoy all LBTS has to offer. The unit is a a bit outdated. It is well-stocked for bedding and cooking materials. However, the pillows need a severe upgrade. We had the Azure room which included a private roof deck which we used frequently. The owner is very nice and very communicative.

The property is clean and has a beach decor vibes. The property offers free parking and beach chairs and unbrellas. The beach is about 2 minute walk and about 7 to 10 minutes to dining in the square. The only thing I would recommend is for the owner to get new beach chairs. The ones available during the trip was kinda dingy and rusty. I would stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay with my daughter—and all is teenager approved! The location & access to the beach was perfect. The unit was exceptionally clean. I enjoyed having my coffee out on the patio each morning. The walk to Commercial Blvd is only a few blocks for plenty of dining & shopping options. The availability of beach chairs & umbrella was an important amenity for me, but the stock could definitely use some repairing or updating. I would stay here again. We definitely like the more relaxed vibe in this neighborhood vs the central beach area.

This property overall was likable. It was clean but did have a slight mildew smell. The dishes were a little grimy and the sponge to clean them was already used so we bought a new one. We were only left 2 shower towels and 2 beach towels for a 5 night stay and were told it would be $25 for another set when we asked for more. The laundry facility was apparently closed due to Covid. Each unit is allowed one spot but we had to park down the road because all of the spots were taken (6 spots for 8 units?) The TV also was a hit or miss as to whether or not it would work. They tell you not to turn the AC below 70 degrees but it does get pretty cold inside due to the tile flooring. However the location was close to Lauderdale by the sea (not the main downtown Fort Lauderdale but still close to a cute shopping/dining area). The bedding was clean. The bathroom was nice. It was nice having a kitchenette. Prices were cheap. They have beach chairs and umbrellas you can use as well, but we didn’t take advantage of that. Check-in was easy. They provided all the dishes you needed (just would recommend washing them before using). I would recommend bringing your own towels, hand soap (you only get a small bar of soap), and a new sponge if you plan on using the dishes. Overall the stay was nice.

Lick to get in was difficult and takes time. Area was dark. Inside, floors dirty, ceiling fan dirty. Bed was okay, but initial impression was blankets were uncomfortable. Not happy.

Excellent communication before our arrival. The management were a pleasure to deal with. It’s a self check in and had I known that in advance it probably would have put us off, however we had everything we needed in advance to make it seamless and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Ideally located for the beach and some lovely restaurants and cafes and only a short Uber into Fort Lauderdale itself. We asked for a late check out when our flight time was changed last minute and they did everything they could to accommodate us. We’ve got a baby who was crawling around and his feet and legs were filthy from the floor, but I understand hotels are high traffic areas. That’s the only negative point. The kitchen is full of everything you need, it was a pleasure to stay here.

One night stay. Only in the room to sleep. In at 10pm out by 8am. Immediately noticed several bugs...most in the bath tub, one in the bed and ants crawling around the light socket. So not the cleanest but having been in the vacation home business I understand some of the issues. Communication from the host was good and clear.

The bed seems like a double/full sized bed and was advertised as a queen. It was uncomfortably small for two people.

Pretty nice place. A little dated. Main problem was pounding noise from room above. Some people are clueless, rude. or both. I noticed that our room, the Sea Blue room on the lower floor in back was the only one with an upstairs room above. So maybe stay away from that one if you want quiet. Though it was nice otherwise.

The room was very clean. It was also very small. The bed was comfortable. The only issue we had was the keypad to get into the room was very finnicky. It tokk 4-5 times of trying before it would let us into the room.

The staff were very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for a restful and stress free trip. Many tasty restaurant options and stores were walkable. They offered a cook top, nice sized fridge and plenty of kitchen supplies. We would definitely stay at this property again.

A nice place for your family. I had everything I need to cook a meal. Very close to the beach. Really enjoyed the patio for room 7.

The room was very clean and spacious Close to the beach and restaurants. Check in and check out was a breeze. Bed was comfortable but furniture was old and beat up. I thought it odd they ask you to clean the room and throw out garbage and clean your dishes or glasses ect. Then ask to tip the cleaning staff ????? It’s a motel room I should have to clean it before I leave Anyway I’d stay here again and the price was right.

It is in a great location access to the beach and a great area for shopping and food just a few blocks away. The bed however is not comfortable. My husband and I both slept horribly due to the bed being super firm and not comfortable at all to us.

We stayed here for one night following a cruise trip. Compared to the other property that we stayed in before our cruise, this one stands out positively! Much cleaner and better updated. Fairly quiet area, considering the density of the population. Check-in and check-out are self managed and the office is by appointment only, but the owners were accommodating and quick to respond to questions via text. I would recommend the 4145!

My wife left her AirPods in our room on November 25th. We reached out to the hotel owner and manager. She stated that they have them. She agreed to ship to us. We made arrangements to pay the shipping by Venmo and she agreed. She is now not returning our phone calls or responding to our emails. We will never stay at a property that we don’t trust people to do the right thing.

The Sea Inn & Suites is a well maintained older motel in a great part of Lauderdale by the Sea. It was close to the beach and we could walk to everything we needed.

I was looking to spend 5 days on the beach. This hotel was close to the beach, clean and also close to restaurants. Check in was handled via e-mail/text and worked fine - I got my room assignment and instructions 2 days before arriving.

Property is small but well maintained. Its location is 1 block from the Beach, 2 blocks from downtown and activities galore!
