The hotel is nice , the room was lovely, the pool chairs need to be upgrade They are broken and not comfortable, the gym needs small hand towels , and the pool area should have a water dispenser, Breakfast is very nice , pool is clean , but the hotel is far from the city , you need to get a grab/taxi . To get into town , the shuttle bus only gets to the airport only every 1.5 hours

A bit outside from the main hub of Phu Quoc but a 10 minute taxi ride away from the town centre, this hotel has it all. Superb breakfasts, super friendly staff, great sea views from the rooms and a great pool area. Tea is served each day from 3-4pm in the reception which is a lovely touch. Rooms are comfortable and spacious and all in all this is a great choice of hotel for a relaxing holiday.

We loved this resort!!! The entrance into the hotel was beautiful! The check in was easy & quick. We had a room with our own pool acces (shared with a few other rooms). The room was very spacious!! The grounds and pool area was beautiful!! There were so many places to layout! There’s a swim up bar. The hotel has beach access. Our stay included a breakfast buffet. There were so many options to choose from!! And their spa is a MUST!! Thank you!!

Groot complex ingericht op all-inclusive. Fantastisch ontbijt. Ontbijt/diner ruimte minder gezellig en lawaaierig. Perfect zwembad met poolbar. Eigen strand. The property ist very well done maintained. Beautiful garden and spotless clean. We were there during a low season. The staff is super friendly and trying really the best. Of course their English is not perfect, but I don’t expect this. I am guest in their country and in our days there is always a way with your mobile phone to translate what you need. The sunbeds where quite run down. I think this should be improved. Food wise also I think they could do better. We had all-inclusive. To be honest the food was okay but nothing more. Few things were really good. Like their pizza and the burgers with Fries. Everything else was not a big experience. For a country like Vietnam I was really surprised how little the fruit variety was. Looking around at the markets how cheap fruits were I think they could do better with this. Some fresh fruit juices and also a proper yoghurt would be nice. The one was served was kind of slimy and not really tasty. But maybe I’m very spoiled from Thailand. Food wise Vietnam is not close to be in competition. However it is okay for the price. What was really important for me is that it was super clean and the people were really super friendly. My opinion, if they increase the quality of the ingredients and their recipes maybe the food will also improve. Like the Spanish Tapas were far away from anything what is Spanish. We had a wonderful time still. At least we didn’t gain weight😉

Excellent property. We got an upgrade because we stayed over aweek. It was very much appreciated. All the staff were excellent. The included bread buffet was very large and quite varied. The pools were excellent. Fro. Shallow fir thechildren to deep enough for adults. The grounds people were constantly keeping things beautiful every day. Even on rainy days. I highly recommend.

swim up room was lovely and nicely clean. breakfast was above average and large selection. unfortunately, the sunbeds were well past their use-by date and you could feel the iron frame in the back. the mattresses were comfortable but not at all enough for the number of guests. worst of all was that the hotel did not live up to its own rules and let guests reserve sunbeds and mattresses with towels, hats and other things. there were sunbed battles from 6am and then people showed up sometime after 10am. many reserved far more sunbeds than they needed just to be safe, which resulted in quite a few guests turning up without being able to get a place to lie down . since that is the purpose of the holiday, I can therefore only give 2 stars - if there were plenty of quality sunbeds I would have given 4-5 stars.

施設はとてもよかった。ツアーデスクの方のフォローや優しさは最高でした。ただ清掃がいまいちでした。一泊目にシーツに青いシミがありそれはきにならなかったのですが、二泊目も同じとこにシミが… わかりませんがシーツ交換はされてないのかなと。枕もたぶんそのままだったような気がします。パジャマもビーチサンダルの上に置かれていました。掛け忘れたのかな?と思いますが… ホテル的にはとてもよかったです。海も近いしまた泊まってみたいホテルではあります。

Overall- the service was way understaff, the bathroom is outdated with mold, and the room was not clean. Here is my full experience below. I am a VIP member, and purchased an all-inclusive package for my three night stay. The benefits of being a VIP member are- early and late checkout, and a free upgrade. When I arrived at the hotel at 1pm I asked if I could have an early check in and an upgrade since I am a VIP member, and they said no and nothing was available. So that was fine, and I waited. The room was not clean. The coffee and tea counter in the room was sticky, every single day. There were ants in the room. The shower had mold in corners and pieces were falling a part. With the inclusive package, you are supposed to get unlimited drinks and food. But it was very time specific- everything was shut down by 9:30pm. When you order food, there would always be just one or two staff taking your order, and they don't come back to get you another drink or another order. Breakfast didn't have much options either. Several times, there were drinks or dishes on the menu that were not available, further limiting the all inclusive package. The furnitures in pool area were always dirty. On second day, manager came up to me and told me it was slow season, and that there were tons of rooms available for an upgrade and early check in and apologized that it wasn't given to me when I checked in. So I left the hotel and checked out a day early.

The rooms (2 rooms) we had with pool access need to be fresh up. They seems to be coloured but the bathrooms are old. For 5bstar hotel and the price you expect to have 5 star conditions in all areas. The bathrooms conditions like more 3 star. Unfortunately they did not have available rooms in the main building since we were ok to downgrade rooms to get better bathroom. The rooms were also kind of smell like fungest. The room is have machine to reduce the humidity but it was not wnough.

SOL by Melia Phu Quoc is a beautiful resort. The grounds, swimming pool, & the private beach were just all beautifully maintained. Definitely at least a 4-star resort. Our room (ocean view) in the main complex was spacious, clean, and with a balcony. The bathroom was large, with a separate toilet, a shower and a tub. The only thing is that there was not much privacy for using the shower or the tub - as they were all glass enclosures. It is OK for a couple - but probably not travel mates. The breakfast spread was huge with many food items from Vietnamese to the usual Western menu. Unfortunately, the Vietnamese dishes were just so bland (they still get you full but somehow lacked authentic Vietnamese tastes/flavors). SOL by Melia is only a few minutes from the PQ Airport but miles from Duong Dong night market and the VinWonders. Stay here if you want to relax and enjoy the beach, but there is not much to do around the hotel

Lovely hotel for a short stay, rooms a little dated but clean. Bathroom is odd. All glass and no door which was strange. Pool area lovely but constant noise from music was annoying. Nice beach area and pathway to walk into nearby town. Breakfast was very good. Overall a good stay but doesn’t feel luxury.

Everything was really great except the doors don't shut completely on their own. I saw so many doors that were open slightly by accident. Just make sure you close it behind you when you enter or leave the room. I would still highly recommend the property.

We stayed here for six days as a family of four, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The room did not match what we had booked. It consisted of one king-size bed and an unfolded sofa bed that was clearly not suitable for two people. We were only able to manage because one child could sleep in the king-size bed with us — otherwise it would not have worked at all. The internet was by far the biggest issue. Wi-Fi was almost unusable throughout our stay, making both the TV and any work-related tasks impossible. We complained multiple times and were repeatedly promised a fix, but nothing was ever properly resolved. When we had 2 days to go, they offered us to relocate to another Room, but we didnt have the confidience in them that this would make it better. The food was also far below expectations and absolutely not at the level you would expect from a five-star hotel. Overall, this hotel does not live up to its advertised standard. Poor room setup, unreliable internet, broken promises, and disappointing food. We would not return and cannot recommend it, especially for families.

Had an amazing time staying at Sol by melia, phu quoc. We booked the superior room with pool access and it was beautiful. The staff are so friendly and respectful. They deserve a good review and everything more. We requested late check out and even got it without no hesitation (given that there was no one checking in our room afterwards.) Wish we could stay longer but we have to go. Thank you Sol by melia for welcoming us and being excellent hosts.

They lost one of my bags at the bell hop, they didn’t communicate the amenities they offered I had to ask about everything (free shuttle to airport) that breakfast was included in my stay, they told me to wait in the lobby for one of my tours which was incorrect and I missed it and had to wait three hours for the next one, my birthday occurred during my stay it was the only hotel I’ve ever stayed at that didn’t recognize my birthday in some way during my stay, they seemed very disorganized,

The perfect way to end our two week Vietnam backpacking trip! How anyone could give less than 5 stars is beyond me this property is BEAUTIFUL and so nice! The grounds are gorgeous and has everything you need without leaving. Amazing breakfast. Also for anyone saying it’s not close to anything it’s about 20 minutes to the main center but tons of taxis and that was actually something we loved about this property. Sooo peaceful and no neighbors on either side so the beach is not crowded and so nice. We loved our stay!

The Sol by Melia in Phu Quoc was a nice place to stay for 5 nights. The hotel is pretty, staff was mostly cheery. I enjoyed the pool area very much and the buffet breakfast was yummy. Check in and check out was fast and easy. They have a bus shuttle to town but you have to pay(I find that makes the place look cheap) Other hotels I have stayed at include shuttles to and from touristy places, which makes more sense. But the airport shuttle was free at specific times. The buffet breakfast was good but would love to see it open until 10:30am. Closing at 10am is to early when your on vacation. The pool was awesome but the pool mixed drinks were horrible and way to expensive.

We were looking for a relaxing break on a paradise beach and that's what we got! The Sol is a few minutes from the airport (but noise from the infrequent planes never intruded), has its own private beach and nothing on the plots on either side so it's pretty quiet. The gardens and main pool are gorgeous and there are plenty of cabanas and shade around the pool and the lovely sandy beach. Over the course of a week We never had a problem finding loungers in shade and feel this was a huge plus. We had a pool access room and liked the private patio area and little wading pool there but didtuse it much as there was such easy access and space around the pool. Half board was great value with a good selection of foods at the breakfast buffet and for lunch/dinner there are 3 restaurants to choose from - also a complimentary afternoon cake and cup of tea - the paellas at the Sol restaurant were a welcome change from Vietnamese cuisine in the local town. A special mention to Mr Trong Anh from Customer Experience who solved some internet and toiletries issues on our first day then went out of his way to greet us personally and help out thereafter. We always think that staff make a hotel and he and the restaurant and bar staff were truly welcoming and friendly, we have no hesitation in recommending Sol by Meliá.

Convenient location for touring the island. Nice quiet area, short drive to the airport. The staff is the best thing about this resort. Everyone I encountered from reception, wait staff, yoga instructor, cleaning and ground crews would greet us with a smile and are very helpful. Unusual bathroom glass enclosure is good for couple but not for everyone. The pool is lovely but we couldn’t use it since we happened to be there during Vietnamese National holidays so it was overused by unruly children and loud parents!

L'hôtel est magnifique. Manque un peu d'animations. Les bars et restaurants ne sont malheureusement pas à la hauteur. Les cocktails sont chers et ne sont pas bien réalisés. Les restaurants proposent peu de choix et cuisine plutôt style fast-food, ce qui ne reflète pas le standing de l'hôtel. Dommage car sans ces petits défauts, l'hôtel aurait été irréprochable.

Skønt hotel lige på stranden. Rent og lyst. Nyt og velholdt. Lækkert pool område og skøn strand. Fremragende morgenmad på hotellet. Poolbar / restaurant var god. Mexicansk restaurant på hotellet var eneste dårlige vi kan sige om stedet.

The hotel was lovely and we had a lovely view of the beach. The hotel had several restaurants and bad all of which offered different and great quality food options. We had the all inclusive package and glad we did as there wasn’t much to walk to close by the hotel.

Overall- the service was way understaff, the bathroom is outdated with mold, and the room was not clean. Here is my full experience below. I am a VIP member, and purchased an all-inclusive package for my three night stay. The benefits of being a VIP member are- early and late checkout, and a free upgrade. When I arrived at the hotel at 1pm I asked if I could have an early check in and an upgrade since I am a VIP member, and they said no and nothing was available. So that was fine, and I waited. The room was not clean. The coffee and tea counter in the room was sticky, every single day. There were ants in the room. The shower had mold in corners and pieces were falling a part. With the inclusive package, you are supposed to get unlimited drinks and food. But it was very time specific- everything was shut down by 9:30pm. When you order food, there would always be just one or two staff taking your order, and they don't come back to get you another drink or another order. Breakfast didn't have much options either. Several times, there were drinks or dishes on the menu that were not available, further limiting the all inclusive package. The furnitures in pool area were always dirty. On second day, manager came up to me and told me it was slow season, and that there were tons of rooms available for an upgrade and early check in and apologized that it wasn't given to me when I checked in. So I left the hotel and checked out a day early.

Nice, quiet property away fromnthe crowds. Good taxi service at front counter and never a long wait. Need a few more food options, Mexican restaurant closed while we were there.

Every staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly. They did everything they could to make your stay great. The food was really good and the best breakfast we have had with huge variety. The reception desk was very helpful and extremely friendly! I will be coming back here
