Cat and Custard Pot Inn

A traditional village pub, full of character. We stayed for 2 nights, the room was light and very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Free internet access was included. It was lovely to have the choice of 2 dining locations, the main restaurant offered a varied menu and delivered excellent food. The Pizzas at the Chalet were lovely and we had a very enjoyable evening of live music on the Sunday night. The staff were really friendly. Good choice for breakfast. It was a good base to explore the area.We would definately return.

Lovely country pub experience, perfectly positioned for our planned activities and visits. Friendly local frequented by friendly locals, and staffed with helpful and friendly staff.

Was a great place to stay. Very good food and drink. Comfy bed. Easy to find and park. Freindly staff would definitely stay here again.

On the app the pictures shown for our room (Elmleaze) a picture of a bath and other pictures definitely not taken in this room. The shower cubicle screen door opens directly into the main room area so that anyone else in the room could see you having a shower! Your towel and clothes also had to be outside the cubicle. No privacy at all. Also no wardrobe, just a few clothes hangers on a hook at the back of the door. Not very convenient. We would have liked to check out pretty early but there was nobody around till 8 o’clock when chef and one staff arrived. Didn’t appear that any staff stay on property overnight? What happens in any emergency?
