Hilton Garden Inn Martinsburg

The HGI is always a great stay! Personally I enjoy the sit down breakfast. The staff is impeccable and I feel relaxed. Parking is easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend.

Easy to get to and park - staff was efficient and friendly

The pool had cold water. The kids wouldn’t swim because of that.

The staff at the bar are beyond amazing. We ate a great dinner and stayed for the great drinks they made. We are staying here from now on.

This was a great spot for an overnight while vising family in WV. The only thing I would add is a table in the pool area.

Sadly our reservation was not correct and we\'re given a smaller incorrect room. Hotel could not fix it. Orbitz couldn\'t do anything either. In the room the Keurig was broken, wall charger to plug in your phone broken, dirty extra blankets. Was actually pretty disappointed. Pool was tiny like a back yard inground pool, photos made it look much larger. I paid an extra $150 per night over the comfort Inn because I don\'t want to deal with this stuff but instead I got a $250 dollar cheap hotel experience. Also everything was extra. "Breakfast buffet" was an extra $15 a person but was the same as every other Continental breakfast that\'s free. Cereal, basic eggs, potatoes and meat and some random assortment of muffins and bread. Staff at check out was just like ok, will put in a maintenance request and a generic sorry with a flat tone. Honestly not worth the extra money at all.

Hilton Garden Inn is our absolute favorite local place to stay when we just need a change of pace, but can’t get too far away from home. They offer great, friendly service, a nice bar, and a decent restaurant that suits our needs when we need a safe place for some all inclusive adult get away time, and we don’t need to worry about driving home.

The room was very nice. The indoor pool was well Maintained and it was warm. The restaurant at the hotel was good and very affordable and had a great staff.

Very clean, staff were amazing, pool was great. We will be coming back here.

Clean and quiet room

Not happy with the coffee station downstairs. First morning of our stay the coffee was ice cold. The next morning there was no coffee at all. Both days we had to go across the road to the Royal Farms. Also, our comforter looked like it was stained with blood! For the amount of times I have stayed here, it’s very disappointing.

We were given a handicap room, not needed. There was blood on one of the toilet rolls. Those two things weren’t the worst part. The bed was terrible. Not supporting us and sagging. We are not big people either, both weigh about 180 lbs. The pillows were very good but the bed is the most important and was the worst we ever found in a hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Martinsburg site. The bed and room were very comfortable.

Doors are pretty loud when guests are leaving in the morning. Overall staff was really nice and accommodating.

Room needed a going over by maintenance guy. Chair was wobbly. Lamp shade just sat on a bolt no screw to hold it on. Bedside lamp was missing a rod which made it loose. These are quick easy fixes to be assigned to maintenance crew if they have a manager who cares about the establishment. Otherwise a nice hotel

Room was clean. A bit outdate. Bathroom was clean but also needed a renovations.

Tub drain was clogged

Handicap room was large and fully accessible for handicapped person.

The hotel is very well kept and clean and majority of the staff were great. The things I didn't like was a car alarm in the hotel lot went off all night into the early morning keeping me from getting any sleep. The morning manager never asked how my stay was or apologize for my inconvenience the only she said when I checked out was asking me if I needed my receipt and nothing more.

We had some problems with boisterous aggressive teens at the pool and Gabe took care of it immediately and did a wonderful job

The Front Desk staff were very helpful and recommended a nice Thai restaurant. The Thai restaurant was great. So appreciative of the help from the hotel staff

First time Hotels.com EVER let me down. Hotel did NOT receive the reservation. I had to call Hotels.com and get it sorted. Check-in took about 40-45 minutes. HOWEVER, when I checked to be sure we had an accessible bathroom, we did not, but the clerk SEAN said, “Let’s see if we can work something out “ and we ended up with a suite with accessible bathroom!

Understaffed and staff at front desk were overwhelmed and seemed to not know how to work their own systems. The card machines were broken so I had to charge dinner to the room which i did not want to do,

The hotel was perfectly situated near I 81. It was modern, clean, spacious and had a restaurant on site. The room was perfect with comfortable beds, pillows etc. the rooms heater unit was quiet and not moldy. Even though there were dogs staying at the hotel you would not know it. If we lived closer, I would go there for a quick getaway spot. Staff was very pleasant. The food at the restaurant was great. We stayed at several hotels on this trip, the Hilton was by far the best, and economical too!

Convenient, clean & comfortable stay, right off Rt. 81. Front desk staff was helpful & friendly. Many dining options within an easy walk, though mainly chain restaurants. Dinner option is available at the hotel but it’s one appetizer & one entree. Nice bar area. The only improvement would be to include a grab & go coffee & breakfast in the price of the room. Would def stay here, again, on our next trip.

I love the snack shop downstairs. Also they have a bar in the hotel. The breakfast was great! My husband got the buffet breakfast and it was $13.50 I believe. They also have a menu where you can separately order and pay for breakfast. My husband said the food was great! Our waitress was nice and well informed. I paid in advance for the “snack” room and also for breakfast on Expedia. And it was worth it! We had KitKats, skinny pop, lays chips, a slim Jim/cheese pack, a protein bar, a small bag of peanuts, 2 vitamin waters, 2 sodas (that you can exchange at the lobby if you don’t like the type- I went and got Coke instead of the sprite and diet,) also there was the standard 2 water bottles for the Keurig sitting out at room temp., and 2 waters in the fridge. The lobby is clean and beautiful. It also one of the nicest parts of Martinsburg (coming from someone who grew up in the area.) you could walk to Logan’s Roadhouse and the shops in The Commons. Also this hotel is very new. It’s maybe 8 years old, so everything is very modern and sleek. The blonde girl who worked the front desk was wonderful. She deserves a RAISE. My husband commented on how polite and knowledgeable she was- he thought about offering her a job. Pay her right, or you may lose her! lol. The beds and pillows were SO comfy. I’m a side sleeper and my shoulder didn’t hurt when I woke up. The soap they use is really great in the showers. They do have blow dryers & a very nice closet. Overall, wonderful stay!

Our only complaint was the restaurant food was not so great!

No one at the desk when we went to check in nor check out. Site listed a free breakfast which is very common at many hotels these days however this one was far from free. Buffet was $12.50. Or you could order entrees for like $10. Even yogurt was like $9. All that was free was if you went to the self serve coffee pots. Very disappointed.

Room was clean Pillows were flat with no fluff - like why bother with a pillow at all! The breakfast was the worst ever! Choice of buffet or al la carte We opted for a la carte after seeing that the buffet was skimpy. Pancakes and waffles were like rubber - eggs were cold. Way understaffed - one girl waiting on all the tables I had to get my own syrup and I wound up toasting my own bread when she never came back. They ran out of coffee by 10 am and never made more even after we asked for more! Staff was extremely slow and unfriendly except for the poor waitress who was overwhelmed! There was also water all over the tile floor from I assume from the indoor pool area.

Room was on the nice side, grounds ok, breakfast was the issue. Now this might be our own fault when booking this reservation, but breakfast is not included. The breakfast area looks like any other hotels continental breakfast, basic scrambled eggs bacon etc. So we just went and helped ourselves, then a women came and asked what we wanted to drink, I thought it was odd that the coffee and juice was not out but thought well maybe Hilton does it different. Next clue I couldn’t find silverware, then the nice lady brought us some with a napkin, thought how nice. Had our bagel, one piece of sausage, oj, wife had about the same. Then the nice lady dropped a folder with a check for breakfast for $27 bucks!! Again maybe my fault when I booked online and didn’t see breakfast was not included, but at least they could have had a sign up please be seated and a waitress will be with you to take your order. Really it looked like any other continental breakfast at any other hotel, food was just the same, we could have just had toast and it would have been 27 bucks, flat rate for the “buffet”. Sooooo won’t be booking there again!!
