Ryokan Plum

I loved the traditional house that was built 100 years ago. The hotel staffs were very polite and friendly. I would come back to this hotel again and would recommend all my friends and family here.

A truly unique experience that my family loved. The accommodation is over 100 years old, so it creaks, has low doorways and steep stairs but that was what made it charming. The staff were amazing at check in!

I stayed at 5 different accommodations during my visit to Japan, and Ryokan Plum was by far my favourite - it was a shame that I could only stay for one night! I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone visiting the Hakone/Odawara area.

Great Japanese home, cleanand great location

Ryokan Plan in Odawara is a wonderful place to stay. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating, explaining everything clearly about the rooms and the stay. The building itself is over 100 years old, which gives it a really special atmosphere. We stayed in a Japanese Style Room and honestly couldn’t recommend it more – it was such a unique experience, even though we only spent one night there. The location is also great, just about 10 minutes from the station and close to Odawara Castle. As a fun extra, we were given the chance to try traditional Japanese-style pajamas, which made the stay even more memorable. We would really like to thank Ryokan Plan for this amazing experience and we hope we’ll have the chance to come back one day.
