Yello Hotel Manggarai

I stayed at the Yello Manggarai for fou nights in August 2026. I am not i liked the yellow theme to the decor. Bedroom was not well presented. The bed base had cracks on the paint. The grey bedsheet had a cigarette burn hole near where it tucked in. Not very convenient for public transport but taxis normally close by but make the taxi driver understands that understands Yello Hotel Manggarai and not any other miscellaneous building painted yellow !! I requested the hotel shuttle for my early return to the airport, advertised at RPI200000. They told me it would be better to go by taxi as they had a promo for RPI170,000 which included toll a petrol for the car !! I agreed to the promo and they advised a 4:55 pick up being early Sunday morning. The taxi (with no markings or ID) arrived late. It took a mere 34 minutes to reach the airport . I gave the driver the 170,000 and he immediately said no it is 200,000. Despite my assertions , he held his ground and showed me what he said was evidence of the booking. I gave the driver the same generous amount of money, buy the “tip part” was lower than planned. I mention that the hotel is “dry”, as with other places in Indonesia. However, the view from The 9th floor cafe is well worth going for, especially in the evening. Breakfast was typically south East Asian which is always an issue for me, and I did not like how the scrambled eggs were flavoured. I cannot remember what I paid for the room but at best, it was ok. A bed for the night.
