Ferman Konak Hotel-Special Category

Cute little hotel. Breakfast was served (for 5 euro) at their sister hotel, which was a 3 minute walk away. Water pressure and hot water was fine. The room had a kettle for making tea. You will hear the call to prayer. The stairs up to the second floor were a bit steep, but the hotel manager checked me in and carried my suitcase upstairs. They have tea and coffee available in their kitchen area any time of day.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und auch über die Dauer unseres Aufenthaltes waren die Mitarbeiter (Latif und die anderen Mitarbeiter) stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie versorgten uns mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps und Anregungen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und man hat uns auch stets gefragt, ob wir eine Zimmerreinigung wünschen oder nicht. Seifen, Duschgel und conditioner waren vorhanden. Ebenfalls ein Fön. Die einzige Kritik bei der Ausstattung gilt den fehlenden Möglichkeiten Jacken und Handtücher aufzuhängen. Die Zimmer waren passend zu einem Konak eingerichtet, sind aber auch leider sehr hellhörig, so dass man es hört, wenn der Zimmernachbar niest oder hustet. Die Straßenbahn ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Kleine Geschäfte sind unmittelbar in der Nähe, so dass man sich auch nur Kleinigkeiten zum Essen und trinken versorgen kann. Im Konak steht immer Tee und Kaffee kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Auch die Mikrowelle darf man nutzen, wenn gewünscht.

the room feels really small and there's limited space to even put your suitcases down and open them- its a tight squeeze and I find it difficult to justify the price our booking was meant to be city view but it was more so garden view. you cant see the blue mosque from here but you can definitely hear the than there's no lift in the building and the stairs are narrow and winding the hotel itself is located 10mins walk from sultanahmet area (although an uphill walk) Amir on night duty was really helpful in helping us book taxis, arrange for a wheelchair hire for my grandma, help us understand the metro map and even deliver food to the hotel using his app

Good amenities for the price. Staff was friendly and kind and spoke English which was very convenient. Clean bed sheets and linens. Nice extra perks such as free coffee and hot chocolate machine, as well as rosehip tea made daily, with a nice veranda to sit in. There was also a kitchen on the premises and family room for the kids to play and hang out in.

Trotz der kleinen Zimmer ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmig. Ein Stern Abzug (eigentlich nur ein halber) aufgrund der Größe der Zimmer. Ansonsten befindet sich die Unterkunft in zentraler Lage mit exzellentem Personal und einem Parkplatz in der Nähe.

Small little hotel close to Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. The hotel does not offer free breakfast but it has a 24 hours coffee machine in the kitchen area the garden area is nice to eat meals or just relax. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but for the price no complaints. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay at Ferman Konak. I’d highly recommend this hotel for budget travelers to Istanbul.

An old styled Ottoman hotel is a short walk to major sights and lots of restaurants. Arrival is a bit bleak down alley by railway line, but inside the staff are welcoming and the rooms are fine. Small but modern bathroom. Courtyard for coffee is pleasant. No views but staff and positioning make it great value for money. It is an old and always remodeling city so this hotel is one you will remember . It is not a bland anywhere hotel.

Not like the space for car

staff was nice and helpful. property smells very bad, no elevator and stairs are vey hard to climb with insufficient light, bedroom so small hard to move around in It's unable. to handle our two suit cases easily. surrounding. are very tight streets ,uneven roads very dangerous to walk safely, with cars driving fast around us, place no good for older people with mobility issues.

This is a very good kept, quaint hotel. All rooms are equipt with toilet and shower facilities with shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a communal kitchen and seating area on the ground floor with free hot drinks and mineral water. The location is perfect as it is a very short walk away from restaurants and shops as well as The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia(Sultan Ahmet Square) as well as Topkapi Palace/Museum. The staff as very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to all.

Other then the odd smell from the bathroom Everything was catered for, the staff were friendly and knowledgable. 24/7 availabilty and everything was clean. And great location for first time visitors.

Overall, the hotel was clean, but the mini fridge wasn’t properly cleaned, and the extra bed cover in the closet didn’t look very fresh. On the positive side, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Special shoutout to Berat; congratulations on Galatasaray’s win.

The hotel's location is convenient for bus access. The rooms were clean, but I had a hard time with the bad smell coming from the bathroom on the first floor. It's probably a smell coming from the sewer.

The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, with hair in the sink and mold in the shower. The staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful. Every time we asked for assistance, they either ignored us or gave vague excuses. The walls were paper thin – we could hear every word from the neighboring rooms. Breakfast was a complete joke: cold, tasteless, and clearly not fresh. Nothing like the photos they advertise online. This place is a scam. I would NEVER stay here again and strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. Spend your money on literally any other hotel – it can’t be worse than this one.

I booked “Ferman Konak Hotel Special Class VIP access” through Expedia, but when I arrived, the place was completely different from what was advertised. I reached the accommodation at 2 AM, and the next morning, I immediately contacted Expedia to inform them that the photos advertised their website were actually from a nearby hotel called Ferman Hotel. We visited that hotel and confirmed it matched the advertised images. The place we stayed in felt more like a rented room in someone’s house. The road outside was littered with rubbish, and there was ongoing construction. Breakfast wasn’t even served at the same place. The entire experience was terrible, especially since I had travelled for medical reasons. The building reeked of cigarette smoke, there was severe mold in the bathroom which triggered my asthma, the hot water was not enough, the shower drainage was constantly blocked which probably caused the mold as well, and upon check-in, the staff informed me that I had been “upgraded” to a three-person room—without asking if that was something I wanted. When I got to the room, I realised there were no mirrors, despite them being shown in the Expedia photos. I feel completely scammed by this booking. I contacted Expedia immediately, and nearly three weeks later, I am still waiting for a response. Every time I call, I’m told they are waiting for the property to get back to them. I am at a loss for words.

Gute Lage, Ruhige Unterkunft, Küche zur Selbstbedienung, Klima, Wasserkocher, Safe. Zimmer täglich gereinigt, absoult sauber. Die Rezeptionisten waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, großes Lob. Absolut zum Weiterempfehlen

This hotel is in the old city and close to attractions. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay and extremely good value for the price. The breakfast was served around the corner on a rooftop with spectacular views, great food and cheap. It’s a very touristy section which for the first time visitor makes sense. The restaurants are expensive by local standards and there seems to be a lot of enthusiasm to get you into a carpet shop or the like. We loved our few days in Istanbul, couldn’t fault the service at the hotel.

The hotel was excellent. Really no complaints at all. But there was a good deal of noise from the surroundings, both from construction work going on near the hotel and nearby mosques. The latter send out the loud call to prayer at various times, including around 3.30h and 4.45h am. Though this goes on all over the city, so this is something that applies to most hotels.

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht von diesem Hotel, die Fenster von unserem Zimmer waren einfach undicht, man konnte einfach alles hören in der Nacht, wie Leute nachts draußen am Garten vom Hotel quatschten bis in die Nacht. Man konnte einfach nicht richtig ausschlafen. Die Wände waren sehr hellhörig, man konnte beim Nachbarn so gut wie alles hören, sogar die Gäste die über uns waren hat man jeden Fußschritt gehört. Zum Personal kann ich nur gutes sagen, sie waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und nett, nur Freundlichkeit können leider nicht diese fatalen Mängeln bedecken. Für Leute die sich entspannen wollen die ihre Ruhe haben wollen und ausschlafen möchten, empfehle ich persönlich dieses Hotel leider nicht.

De plus, pas de grasse matinée possible car côté cour il y a des travaux dans un immeuble proche. Personnel aimable. Chambre assez propre.

I had a great time in Istanbul, the hotel was located really close to the Sultanahmet T1 station and that was helpful. But the best part of our staying there was the staff, specially Berat, he went the extra mile every time we needed anything, guidance, help, comments or suggestions, thank you Berat!!!

EXCELLENT service from the team at Ferman Konak. Accommodation is perfectly acceptable but what you're really paying for is the location and the service (especially from Latif who is amazing). Little things like free bottled water, warm greetings and getting a level of getting care is so refreshing when you're treated by the numbers elsewhere. Highly recommend.

Great place with super nice staff. Berot and Emirhan were very nice ans helped us make all arrangements. 5 of us were able to have a comfortable stay.

This was an absolutely amazing experience, not because of the hotel, but because the amazing staff. Latif and Emir are absolute stars, amazing hospitality, great knowledge and advice, but most importantly, they made us feel like VIPs. They were busy, but still took the time to converse with us, always offered drinks, shared their excellent knowledge of the city. It really felt like home. The hotel was great too, the garden is a great area to sit and relax, have your meals, and enjoy the July heat. Cant recommend this hotel enough, thanks to Latif and Emir. Wish you both a lot of success in life!

My family and I had an excellent stay at Ferman Konak. The location is perfect as all the major attractions are within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. They also helped book a Bosporus tour for us as well as arranged airport transfers. Free tea and coffee is available in the foyer, and breakfast is at their other branch which is only 1 minute walk away where you get views of the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Bosporus. Breakfast variety was excellent and only €5 per person which is great value for money. Overall we would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit Istanbul!

Gran pequeño hotel que destaca por la calidad de su staff. Superlativo trato del personal del frint desk. Gran predisposición, educación y ganas de trabajar. Mi cuarto era tal cual las fotos, pero la ventana daba al patio interno por lo que nunca pude correr las cortinas por un poco de luz y a veces era algo ruidoso. La zona es miy cercana a todas las atracciones principales y, para mi sorpresa, toda el area turistica es SUPER segura y limpia. El desayuno se paga aparte, 5 euros y lo sirven en el hotel "hermano" a la vuelta de la calle. RECOMIENDO ir una vez al menos y ver el amanecer desde la terraza porque es ESPECTACULAR! No asi el desayuno, pero esta compensado con la vista. Creedme

Personale super gentile, posizione comodissima per il centro. Colazione fatta nell’hotel gemello, molto variegata e abbondante! Consigliatissimo!!

Definitely would stay here again. The staff were super easy going and were very patient with us. One thing to note is that they personally don’t offer free breakfast, but their sister hotel does. They are also located in near everything which was super convenient for us because we walked literally everywhere .

主な観光地までのアクセスやトラム駅まで徒歩圏内でした。近くにレストランや小さなスーパーもありました。 線路脇なのとモスクが近いため、頻繁ではありませんが電車の音やお祈りの放送は大きく聞こえました。 スタッフはとても親切で観光の提案をしていただきました。中庭のような場所がありそちらにあるドリンクはいつでも無料で飲めますし滞在客との交流もできる雰囲気でした。提携先のテラスの朝食は海峡を眺めながらのビュッフェで良かったです。

We have been to Istanbul many times and know the Sultanahmet area well. The hotel is located ver close to Topkapi, Ayasofia and the Blue Mosque, making it ideal for tourists. Trams and shopping are within walking distance. We picked the hotel for its location and value for money and were not disappointed. The reception staff could not have been more helpful and it was clean. Breakfast was available for 240TL at the sister hotel round the corner. The all you can eat buffet was great value for money. The only thing I would have liked is some comfortable seating in the cafe area to sit and read a book. The tables and chairs weren’t comfortable for a long period of time but I guess most people are out most of the time so maybe it’s not a big issue. Would certainly stay here again.
