Great little, old quirky cottage in a pleasant village! Nice and warm, cosy cottage and a well stocked kitchen with tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc to hand. All facilities including dish washer and washing machine if you need it. Host was responsive and helpful too. On the whole it was very clean, a few things need fixing like tiles outside the back door but it didn’t take away the charm of the place. We visited the pub and the locals were so friendly! Pity they don’t do food but good for a drink. Also visited the shop (amazingly well stocked) and the fish and chips which were lovely! Pet friendly and a real little find, our dogs were very at home! Lovely stay thank you!

A wonderfully quirky cottage, but with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen; some of the comfiest beds I've slept in; big sofas for lounging on and a landlord who's quick to reply to questions. Ideal for a family - bedrooms are adjoining. Thoroughly recommended.

Unfortunately when we arrived someone was in the property, they had arrived 1 week early but had call owner and been given the code to get in. After 9 hours of travelling not ideal, once they had seen the mistake they left.

This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer. It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back.
