I have NEVER left a review before. I’m a hosteller/backpacker who always looks for cheap and cheerful, and am used to things being rough around the edges. I think most reviewers are incredibly fussy. However: this was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. 1) druggies outside the door made me feel unsafe coming/going 2) room STANK of stale smoke. Signs everywhere reminding guests that smoking/drugs are prohibited. 3) electrical socket off the wall with loose wiring exposed 4) blood on the wall in the bathroom, toilet filthy, water took 10 minutes to eventually run hot. I could say more - but it is clear what type of person is using this hotel, and I’d avoid it at all costs.

My room had a beautiful view of the mountains, and the hotel is right by the train station. Perfect place for one night. Was a tad annoyed they didn't speak English; however, it makes sense because of how small a town it's in. Very close to restaurants and literally right next to the grocery store. The elevator was broken, and the place was confusing to navigate, but I made it work. Was a little scared for my safety as a solo female traveller, but I doubt I would be worried if I were a man or with someone else. Everyone seemed nice, and the place locked up at night. Had a lovely little balcony, and so happy there was good air conditioning. Comfy bed and nice bath for a cheap place. Worth the money you pay 100%!

The whole hotel stank of cigarette smoke. The room door for one of the rooms we were in could not be closed. It looked like the door had been kicked open and the lock not repaired.

First experience on check in was rough (not welcoming) then a second woman saved the day and was very helpful. Was disappointed that the published check in time was not accurate and we had to delay until three (changing our plans). The value and location were great. The room was a bit beat up (had to slam the door to get it to shut) and couldn’t get the tv to work.
