The location is perfect. The property was clean EXCEPT for the pool and hot tub. They were disgusting. The tiles in the pool haven't been cleaned in quite some time, there is a prominent scum line. The hot tub has brown bubbles floating, that's also from not being cleaned for quite some time. The hot tub was not very hot. The beds were ok but that top cover is horrible, the texture is awful. Matt at the front desk was very nice and helpful, 5 stars for him!

Pool and spa were dirty and small. Room was okay, breakfast was okay. Very small buffett area. Cold coffee in lobby. Our room had zero view except for the apartment building across the alleyway. Large transient population. Nice walking vicinity of the pier and shopping. Would probably not stay again.

Beautiful spacious clean hotel in Sta Monica with very adequate gym — treadmill elliptical annd peloton bike with weights and biceps machine and heated pool spa facilities. Includes regular breakfast. Coffee was great!Nice beddings and interiors. Available Spectrum channels. If you’re in the middle floors, recommend ear plugs to avoid hearing the fan and the upstairs occupants.

The stay was overall pretty nice. We got a great corner room on the top floor with an ocean/city view. The staff was overall friendly and helpful - except for one of the hotel staff whom I think manages the room cleaning, and she even came out to close the pool area 10-15 mins before the actual time the area was to close. Additionally, was asked this same employee for extra towels and pillows, and failed to fulfill this request multiple times. We ultimately had to go downstairs and request them from the lobby staff. Everything else was great, the only other issue is that the hot tub was not working for whatever reason. Not a huge deal, however, the pool and jacuzzi were one of the main reasons we chose this hotel in the first place. Thank you to everyone else who was helpful and accommodating.

Had a wonderful stay. Rooms super clean and modern. Five minute walk to Pier/Beach. Close to Metro that basically takes you anywhere in Los Angeles. Staff was nice and complimentary breakfast was very good. Homeless people are around but they didn't bother us. Its to be expected in Santa Monica.

It definitely wasn't worth the money. We found a small cockroach in the room , we informed the staff and honestly they acted quickly on it and offered to change the room and sent pest control. The complimentary breakfast was below average I would say. There was no parking , even though they do have a garage inside and they only had valet for 50 dollars a night which is absurd !

I called the front desk to ask if housekeeping places new linen on the bed when they turn the rooms. I was told that they do. After housekeeping came by, I realized that the same stain that was on the sheets upon checking in was still there. Watermarks remained on the night stands. Disappointing. Nobody wants to be lied to. You’re primarily paying for location here.

We received a handicap room and we asked to move. We were denied because we booked through a third party. The bathroom was NOT clean. Toilet and shower gross. The pool is very nice. The location is very good for Santa Monica pier. Parking is very expensive and they do not offer self parking. And again. The bathroom was gross.

my room number is 518 for 09/22 , just one night . shower was blocked , I couldn't take shower to get ready for event I needed to attend. someone came to check on it but said can't do it and need to come back. I check out next morning. I expect credit for inconvenience. pluse I see additional 75$ and 52$ on my account. I expect refund my number is 2094505966 i called 3 times on sunday and no one returned my call even they said they will in 5 minutes but no phone return.

Check in was super simple and easy. We loved that you needed a key card to get into the building and into the elevator into the room. When we got into the room we absolutely loved it.It was gorgeous. But we were missing cups for our coffee. There was trash in some of the bins already no trash bags. I don’t know if that’s normal or part of the plan. Part of the bed sheet did have some stains on it. But yeah, I was hoping for something more you know clean but what can you expect? I guess nothing can be perfect. The food was as good as I thought it be. I love that they had a snack bar if I needed it.

I enjoyed my stay at Hampton Inn in Santa Monica. I selected the larger suite and found it to be extremely spacious. The balcony was a nice extra and I appreciate having both a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The hotel is centrally located near the Santa Monica pier and right next to the Metro E light rail line. This is a very convenient way to explore Los Angeles and the surrounding area. For example, the E line takes you directly to the Broad Museum in about 45 minutes. Note: depending on the room you book, you may experience noise from the train, but this shouldn't deter anyone from visiting the hotel Earplugs will mitigate this. You can walk to a major supermarket within two minutes and there's a nice restaurant on 6th and Broadway that serves breakfast. The pier is about a five minute walk from the hotel and there are multiple restaurant options near the pier. The hotel staff were professional and friendly--I truly felt welcomed. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient and I appreciated the coffee in the lobby. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable and I will return.

Tons of noise from the hallways, room next door and room above. We had to call the front desk multiple times about the noise above us. Although the noise is out of the hotel’s control, the building is not sound proofed enough. I’ve stayed at multiple other hotels and this has never been a problem.

We were placed in room 222 with two kids. The room is literally a few metres away from the tube rail tracks. Imagine the noise from 4.30 to midnight. No one could sleep. Fortunately, the lady at the reception moved us further and up away. I absolutely hated breakfast- no choice, warmish potato,sweet sausage, artificial taste yogurts. On top-I’ve never seen it in other hotels, and I travel the world- paper plates and plastic cutlery. Worse than at the petrol station in the middle of nowhere. The last but not the least-the beggars from the street managed to come a few times inside, no need to comment on this. The price is over for what the hotel can offer. Being a Hilton Honors member-complete disappointment.

We came to Santa Monica for my 59th birthday. The staff was great, the location is only 8 blocks from the pier. Lots of shops, restaurants and the freeway. We had a Junior Suite and it was nice and large with high ceilings, corner unit, floor to ceiling windows on 2 walls and a balcony. The only down side is parking is valet only and u have to pay for it. But we were there 3 nights and thought it was worth the convenience and the safety of our rental car. The free breakfast each morning was great too... thanks for the wonderful stay!

Line up to register. The attitude or lack of one with the security guard, The none appearance of anyone while we wanted to check out and head to a hospital for surgery. Waited and waited and waited and finally left a note to check out. Guard told me she was making coffee and left her phone on the desk and he couldn't reach her even if she had it??? Pathetic. Parking folks great

Receptionist at the front desk was very rude and did not treat me with the same respect as the customers before and after me. "Darlene" would give me dirty looks like I was inferior to her and made the stay very uncomfortable/ unpleasant whenever I walked in and out of the establishment. Terrible customer service

The representative at the front desk was so welcoming. She made my check in very easy and smooth. I was very pleased with the level of service and my overall experience. The entire staff was great. The entire staff was extremely nice and one of the best Hampton Inn / Hotel experience’s I’ve had in a decade. The ladies working the front desk, cleaning lady on the 3rd floor, and Trey on the late night shift were fabulous! Oscar on security was also such a professional and outstanding worker. You should be very proud of your team and recognize them for their dedicated work!

When approaching the desk the receptionist was on the phone with what seemed like a personal call. She was complaining to someone about her schedule. She wasn't very nice at first. There is also a $75 hold per night that you stay with them which for us totaled out to be $150 in total. That, on top of the extra $240 for parking was more than my credit card could handle. Our room was clean but did not have any trashliners in any of the trashbins which felt and looked very unsanitary to me. There was noone keeping up on the pool towel laundry and we had to request for more towels to be brought up. There was valet parking available on site however it was an added charge that I was not expecting. I didn't see the cost of the parking on their website otherwise I would have made other arrangements for parking as my room had 2 vehicles. Overall I felt like the employees were not satisfied with their jobs and liked to complain a lot. The gentleman who helped me with checking out was the only person who was friendly and he was the only person who seemed to be understanding of my financial situation as there were a lot of unexpected expenses that came with booking this property.

The staff is not very friendly and they were dismissive towards me from the start I arrived early in the morning the person at the desk told me to not come back until 4pm not even requesting my number to let me know when the room is ready and I stayed the for 3 nights the older gentleman was not friendly also and he did not acknowledge me standing and taking other guest ahead of me which I had to call him out on it the breakfast location and room are ok but the staff will be retrained how treat guests

The best part of this property are the Valets! So kind, engaging and fast (though they could clearly use more as these guys were working hard!) Front desk staff seemed very unfamiliar with the area-suggesting it would take an hour to drive to the beach (took less than 10 minutes on a busy weekend morning) or dinner recommendations. The surrounding area is DIRTY-so many unhoused persons just right outside the hotel, filth and garbage everywhere outside. There is a Target and Trader Joe's across the street so that is nice. Rooms are fine-clean and average just so noisy with the bus line/metro next door

We had an excellent stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Santa Monica. The location is absolutely perfect...easy to walk to the Santa Monica pier and the beach, as well as restaurants. There is a Trader Joes next door and a Target one block away which makes it easy to stock up on snacks, wine or necessities that you may have forgotten to pack. The rail line next door is very convenient and we had no problem catching ubers from the hotel. We loved that coffee and tea were available in the lobby throughout the day and the breakfast was fantastic...plenty of variety and options. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were on the back side of the hotel, which was quiet. The staff were quick to address any questions we had and were very helpful throughout our stay. While this is certainly not as fancy as some other area hotels, it is hard to argue with the combination of price, location and amenities. There are quite a few homeless in the area but this is to be expected in any city and we never felt unsafe. Overall, the hotel more than met our expectations and was an excellent base for our trip to the LA area. We would certainly recommend it to others!

The room was very clean and the staff was lovely however the location is terrible. The bus station is directly across the street so you hear the sounds all day long. You also have to pay for parking at the hotel, over $50 a day, which was not specified. The walk down to the pier was littered with garbage and unfortunately there were a number of people that came up to us aggressively asking for money which made me uncomfortable with little kids. I paid more to stay here because of the location and I definitely regret it.

The room had very little ventilation. As soon as you get out of the shower, it feels very humid. We will not be returning guests just because of the area, there is an obvious homeless problem, one lady sat in the middle of the street at night in the rain luckily my husband is alert and aware or that could have ended very bad. Parking is a problem in the area as well. Just very inconvenient in my opinion. Staff were ok, breakfast was powdered eggs, microwaved sausage patties & bagels or toast (2 stars) the room itself was clean, beds weren't too bad. Not trying to be negative all the way around just being completely honest, this was the first and last time for us at any Hampton Inn.

Seems to be a drug house across the street with scary looking people looking out their windows right into our hotel windows so I could not have the curtains open much. Many homeless people and people on drugs acting crazy all over Colorado street around the outside of our hotel. Didn’t love that part. Also, did not love the cheap material of the bedding.

We really loved this property. It was one of the nicer Hampton ends we have stayed at. We had a nice room that overlooked the pool. Property was really big and borderline fancy. Having said that, the person that checked us in wasn’t that friendly. I needed a toothbrush and the person that gave it to us downstairs wasn’t that friendly either. And then during the breakfast rush probably around 8:30 AM the trash was overflowing everywhere. There were no utensils left and couldn’t find condiments. They let the breakfast area get kinda nasty during the service. I’m guessing maybe they were short staffed as this is not our typical Hampton Inn experience with service. Would definitely give this property another chance. It’s really very nice
