The hotel clean and well kept but many amenities such as the vending machines, the ice machine, the atm, and the laundry room all were out of service or required maintenance. And there’s no elevator so it’s not very accessible. It was a quiet stay but not very comfortable.

Your advertisement says you have a bar and dinning area, washer and dryers, and the best wings in town. Well let me tell you: was not impressed by the staff saying it was "under renovations " still after a year and 6 months since we been down to Cape Brenton, got mad cause i looked through the door, no drinks when the sign clearly stated 4.99$ a beer, the cable box in the room was all messed up if u touched it it took 20 minutes to get it working again, The staff told me it would be 5$ to do laundry but i couldn't go do it myself when i clearly seen coin operated washing/dryer and have a picture. Pretty bad when the best part of the stay was the smoking area which was comfortable, over all the stay sucked, wont be staying here again and don't recommend this hotel to any one!

Very few amenities within the room. Outside maintenance was very poor with loose railings and broken stairs. Family rooms should have tvs in both bedrooms.

It was not a great experience, to put it mildy. Checking in, I was requested to put down a $250 deposit, which I've never done at any Hotel. Typically, they do take your credit card and a hold is put on it, but I've never seen any more than $100. When I presented my concern with that, the front desk staff was far more concerned with telling me I was incorrect than actually alleviate said concern. Upon entering the room, it was clean but the bed was rock hard to the point of essentially being a slab of concrete with a sheet on top. The absolute worst part, however, was the back outside step which is almost entirely rotten to the core. I started going down the steps, and one of the rungs almost completely disintegrated under my feet. There was no sign to not use the step, nor was there any verbal warning about it. This is extremely dangerous and could cause injury. Overall, would highly recommend to avoid.

This may be the worst experience I have had in my life. The hotel was dirty and did not appear as pictured. I found a mouse in the room running from the bed to the bathroom. When I approached the staff about this issue all they could do is offer a new room on the same floor. I inquired about a refund but conveniently the manager was never around. After calling back several times since to speak with someone about the issue I have gotten nowhere. Not worth anyone’s trouble. Do not stay here.

Like so many other reviews before me, this hotel was bad. I am in my 50-ties and this was the FIRST HOTEL in my life I had to check out of before we were supposed to. I could somewhat tolerate the dirty bathtub, the very inconsistent Wifi, the very dirty dining room, as well as the smell in the room - but when a MOUSE appeared IN MY BED at 1 AM on the second night, I was done.

I arrived at 10:00 pm and there were men on the front porch smoking heavily. First room I was assigned had mold in the bathroom. Second room had sticky bathroom floors and dirty blankets. Both were on the bottom floor. I asked to be switched again and was told it would be 30 minutes to clean another room and the TV won’t work.The third room I entered on the main floor seemed clean enough. Blankets and pillows were very thin. Noises from people upstairs could be heard all night. I checked out at 6:00 AM and asked the front desk if something can be done about the rigamaroll I was put through. Staff replied “I’m just a random night worker I can’t give discounts.”

The sheets are dirty, there are stain of something gross on the mirror. The toilet has some disgusting bodily fluid on it. The floor is nasty. There is someone's leftover food in the fridge still. There is first and debris on the sheets I swear they are re used. This is the most absolutely disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at. Never stay here!!!

The room felt like the furniture was collected from a dorm room. The mice traps up and down the hallway was a little scary. The food for breakfast had a small variety and you had to fiqure out on your own where everything was. The staff were friendly but not very helpful.

This is an older property, but on the water-front so likely the reason behind the rate charged. No elevator so luggage has to be carried upstairs (unless you're on ground floor). The room I was in has a door that looks as tho it was subject of a S.W.A.T. raid !! TV was an Amazon Fire but to watch regular cable it was necessary to change "input" but there was no instruction re this. Room was on highway side of hotel and it would have been nice to use window venetian blinds BUT the control cords had been removed. Room had a self-standing closet which was not conveniently situated and had all of three clothes hangers - all plastic, 2 white 1 black. A serious lack of electrical outlets and USB ports for all the electronics we all use these days. Yes it was clean and the bed was quite comfortable, but really overpriced based on the deficiencies noted.

Good place to stay. It’s 22min from the NL Ferry so if you want something closer be aware. But the drive was easy and quick and the views were nice. Breakfast was simple and good. Rooms are simple.

Just a room, barely. Room was clean but badly in need of updating. Chair badly stained, room needed paint a long time ago. Huge bathroom that was all empty space, literally 6 feet of empty wall with only space for for a toothbrush beside sink. Not one inch of a shelf or counter. Heard every small noise from room above.

The only light in the room was the overhead light with the switch at the rooms entrance. No bedside tables, lamps or any other light in the room so I needed a flashlight to go to the bathroom during the night. I could not read in bed as I like to do so my stay was poor. Bed comfortable but that’s it. Beautiful view from room but window did not open and room hot and stuffy.

The room was very hot and quite old thought clean No air Booked water view but that's a misnomer The window to that view is across the hall from the room. Check in was smooth until I saw two charges on my credit card when there should have been one. They fixed it after much conversation and said it was because they were being bought by Best Western.

The staff was very helpful and the breAkfast was much more than Continental. It included scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon. However the WiFi was not working properly. Connectivity was good but Internet was prohibited. I don't know if this was a temporary problem or a recurring problem.

Security Deposit Concern While I checked into a three-night stay at Hotel Harbourview Inn and Suites, the front desk insisted on promptly debiting my credit card with the explanation that Expedia does not generally do so. I received a simple explanation that it is their policy while other places have none and that I would receive an immediate refund on checking out. Unfortunately, when I checked out, the front desk was inconsistent and stated that the refund would be given to me later in the day when another worker reports in. After 48 hours of patiently waiting for this refund, I needed to email a reminder to the inn. My credit card account finally received the full security deposit refund about 55 hours after checking out. Otherwise, my stay at Hotel Harbourview Inn and Suites was generally okay.

Very low quality hotel. Poor breakfast. Room was furnished like a dorm room. High price. Charged double for our stay and could not get a good result from manager (said they couldn’t find the extra charge in their system). Had to contact credit company. This is taking up a lot of time to resolve. Do not book this hotel.

Unfortunately, my experience was terrible with the very unfriendly manager and some staff. I ended up not staying there and lost all my money equals two days stay., but there was no mercy. Yes, i was trying to cancel my stay few hours too late but there was no mercy

The guest in the room next to us was extremely loud and kept setting the fire alarm off at 3am. When I told the front desk, they didn’t seem to care and said they couldn’t hear the fire alarm going off. This seems quite unsafe. Poor service

One of the two rooms I rented was not for guests. We were moved to the nun harbor view side of the hotel and promised a credit. The credit was not issued upon checkout. I was told to call back and and given the name of an individual with whom I should speak. I called and was told someone would call me back. Several days later I called again. This time I was instructed to email the problem to the hotel. I did. Again, no response.

The property is well kept up for its age and is in a good location for walking the city waterfront. There were 5 of us and we were comfortable in the family room with 2 double and 2 twin beds, which is great for a larger family. Breakfast was as good as any we’ve had with lots of selection and seating.

The view was not much, few hairs left in the room and some black stuff on the ceiling which may or may not have been mould. Beds were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was a great buffet style affair but a staff member took it all away before the advertised 11 am by about 10 minutes.

Great location and stay. Rooms are renovated with all new TV, fridge, microwave, and bathroom. Tub is wide and deep (good for soaking in). Breakfast was really good with hot scrambled eggs, sausages, and potatoes and Tropicana orange juice (which I like). Views from the room and the breakfast area looked out over the harbor. Would definitely stay here again.

Good - Decent sized, clean room overlooking harbour in quiet area just outside downtown. Bad - Poor choice breakfast at 8.30am (only open 7 - 9) with cereal dispensers empty, overflowing waste bins and no staff on duty to help or replenish stock. Had 11 good hotel breakfasts in a 3 week holiday in the Maritime provinces but unfortunately the last one was this one.
