This place was spotless. It is a few kilometers out of town but only a kilometer from a walk to a water fall. The main building has all the rooms off of the common areas which can be great for groups. The kitchen has everything from a coffee machine to an oven. Most of the furnishings are from IKEA making things feel familiar. They have fresh coffee and coffee pods. There is ample parking and if you don’t want to cook it is an easy drive into town where there are a couple of restaurants. I would stay here again.

Guesthouse divisa in 3 edifici di cui 2 con camere private e bagni e cucina condivisa e un edificio con miniappartamenti. Nel nostro edificio c’erano 7/8 camere con 3 bagni condivisi di cui due con docce. Cucina condivisa con tutto il necessario per cucinare, frigo microonde bollitore e macchina per fare il caffè. Alle 8 viene inoltre portato il caffè caldo. Camera piccolina al primo piano, pulita, con una bella vista sul monte Kirkiufell. Parcheggio privato davanti alla struttura. Wi-Fi funzionante in tutta la struttura. Per arrivi oltre l’orario del check-in viene lasciato un biglietto con il proprio nome sulla porta della reception con nome dell’edificio e della camera e la chiave viene lasciata all’ingresso dell’edificio sul mobiletto dove ci si deve togliere le scarpe come in tutte le guesthouse e case islandesi.

Comfortable stay, equipped with what I needed. Clean and spacious private room and bathroom, comfortable heating (and heated towel rack!), Netflix. Shared kitchen cleaned daily and other guests were respectful of the area. Laundry and plenty of parking space is available. Max. 5min drive into the main town for a restaurant, a supermarket, and petrol station. Views of Kirkjufell right outside the building.

Lovely stay -- easy check-in - spotless accommodations!! Well-stocked huge shared kitchen, huge room with a perfect view of Mount Kirkjufell. Would definitely stay here again!

The light fixture in the kitchen needs to be cleaned out a flies. The key doors are very difficult to unlock and unlock. The bathroom doors do not lock which is not safe. It was nice having tea and coffee available and we were attended to quickly when we first arrived. We felt that overall the place felt a little tired.

Everything was perfect. We stayed in unit #6 on the 2nd floor, which is a private standalone house. The interior was spotless—the bedroom, living room, and bathroom were incredibly clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the backside of Kirkjufell right from our window. Despite the heavy wind and rain upon arrival, the host was exceptionally kind and helpful. It's also very close to town. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

This was a weird property and you could hear every time someone in another room was doing something. Shower was extremely uncomfortable and not that clean. It was in the middle of nowhere if you want to see the northern lights and they shut all the lights off. Staff member was nice but didn’t really feel safe.

Nach überbuchung wurde uns ein großes Appartement gegeben statt eines Zimmers, das war nach dem ersten Schock soweit in Ordnung. Aber es war schon sehr schmuddelig, Alle Sitzgelegenheiten hatten Flecken, die Küche war auch sehr schmuddelig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Aussicht war sehr schön.

Beautiful, spacious room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a view of Kirkjufell with 2 gazing chairs. The window shades did not completely cover the long daylight, but we managed and the room made up for that. There were several loud groups who arrived into the evening, making it a noisy environment until 10 pm on the night we were there, and the same was true in the morning, since one of those groups took over the kitchen. Other than that, it was a lovely stay.

Very clean and a decent amount of space. Pretty location, but not all rooms have views. Most face a parking lot. Beds were hard and linens scratchy. We stayed in the Kirkjufell guesthouse. There were 5 bedrooms with a shared kitchen/eating area. Most of the other guests were quiet in the morning but you need to prepare for this common cooking space - most people were making their own breakfast right outside our room. The property was clean and adequate - we were just passing through. But I wasn’t prepared for the shared cooking/eating/lounge area.

This property was beautiful and scenic! You look right out at Kirkjufell and can see multiple stunning waterfalls from the property. The room was huge with two bedrooms, a living room/kitchen and a big bathroom. The only thing is the room was hot! When we got there the heat was turned high (in August) and we weren’t able to cool it down enough to make sleeping comfortable. I would recommend this guesthouse- I think the heat situation was maybe just an unfortunate mistake.

Hôtel très bien placé, la vue est splendide et les chambres sont très propres et assez neuves. Le principal défaut est l’insonorisation des chambres( j’entendais mon voisin ronfler). Lave linge et sèche linge à disposition. Service absent.

We checked in late and I was expecting to enjoy the view of the mountain in the morning. But when we arrived, we were informed that the pavers are coming in the morning so it’s either we leave early or leave late. I wish there’s a way to post pictures because it was right outside my door. Big truck and smelly asphalt. I wished I was informed ahead of time. The staff was either unfriendly or just overworked. I don’t want to judge people I don’t know, but it would be nice to have a warm welcoming voice. Lastly, they need a new dryer. It took me two hours to dry our clothes.

Nice place overall. Window was broken. Check in person was not very friendly. No identification or name tag, quick to show us the room and leave. Later that evening she was waiting outside our door so we would pay in advance as we were checking out early the next day. Fine but a little creepy.

Perfect stay to view northern lights from the hotel, don't have to drive up anywhere else in the night to catch the Aurora. Great views of Kirkjufell from the room. Very quiet and less than 10min drive to the city center.

We stayed here one night in June. It was comfortable, but a little cramped for four of us. It also isn’t really walkable from town, but this worked fine for us. It was easy to drive to Kirkjufell and take amazing pictures!

The guest house is in a great location. The check in was easy and it was nice to have a kitchen. We stopped at the grocery store in town and saved so much money buying food and preparing it in the kitchen. Would stay again.

Located in a beautiful scenic place. Close to the town which have three restaurants. Clean rooms and big enough to have to large open luggages. It is quiet and there is a big shared kitchen and communal area. Unfortunately, there was no TV in the communal area or laundry facilities. Check in was a breeze as the names of guest were pasted on the glass panel at the reception. Very cosy place to stay at.

The rooms are around an inner area that has the two kitchen blocks and seating for dining. Very nice and convenient. Enough outlets next to the bed. Everything is new and in excellent working condition. There is even a dishwasher. Coffee for the coffee maker is provided as well as filters. The property is a little outside of town and has great views. Highly recommend and would go again. Most convenient accommodation of our Iceland trip.
