Comfortable stay. Room was fairly quiet, can’t control the neighbors. Location is next to street but you can’t really hear traffic. Check in was easy and staff are friendly. Free breakfast at the tavern next door, same with gym usage.. as they’re not *on* the property so you get a voucher to hold onto to use. Parking is $10 a night which is listed on Expedia just know it’s something you pay for at the hotel. It is hard to find parking if you aren’t back early enough and may have to park elsewhere. We didn’t experience that but it would be inconvenient to pay and have to park somewhere off property. Would stay again if we are back in area

Good location near plenty of restaurants. My only concern was that there were a few additional fees that I felt were not disclosed in a transparent manner. There was a $35/night pet fee which was a surprise. The description on Expedia said that this accepted pets but, I don't remember a fee being mentioned. They also charge a new $10/night parking fee.

The hotel was great! My only complaint was it was on a busy and very loud intersection.... but tempurpedic mattresses were amazing and so comfy, and the restaurant/bar was amazing. Dan makes incredible rumrunners, and we were content to hang out around the firepit with our dog, sip drinks and enjoy the night. 10 stars!

Water pressure in the showers is horrible , they really need to replace the shower heads . No pool anymore due to new ownership. I really hope they update the rooms , the location is excellent .

There was barely any parking, if we took our car we’d lose our spot for sure when we came back in the evening. $20 fee for parking, wish space was more accessible. Other than that our stay was great.

The stay was beyond unpleasant, from walking into the room and being hit with such a pungent smell to the mattress with a plethora of piss and poop stains and specs. Not to mention the nasty stains on the pillows, brown stains on towels, washcloths etc. Also finding multiple pieces of woman’s hair on our bedsheets and towels. The bed was also positioned in the most awkward spot, I couldn’t comfortably lay down without hanging off the bed, yet the longest part of the bed was the width. It was extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable for both me and my partner. The smell is one thing, but for there to be stains on almost every hotel provided commodities. And we already had to wait past 20 minutes after check in because the rooms were not ready, and then they were finally available just to be dirty..? Then the front desk lady gave us the option of choosing between a top floor room with NO hot water or a bottom floor with hot water, at this point already being 20 minutes past check in time. Tired from our travels and the urge to use the restroom we took an option we didn’t even want yet it was extremely disgusting. On our Anniversary. NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed there February 2024. I choose this place because of the location and I was tired of unpleasant surprises of Airbnb's. Since it's a hotel, I though it would have some minimal qualities. I was wrong. I always look at the reviews but I don't know why this time I didn't. Problems: Very dirty room. Not just the floor but the walls had stains of what looked like vomiting. Besides that, a lot of dust. At least it was not stinking or I was not be able to stay. The breakfast is very poor but I was not concerned about it since there are lots of places to eat around it. Pros: It's very close to Heavenly Resort indeed. Very walkable. I will never go back to that place again.

Unfortunately, our stay was not enjoyable at this facility, in the room we were given. The carpet was extremely worn, torn, looked very dirty, and smelled, at some spots it smelled of urine. The bathroom had a little black mold in between the tiles that we did not shower the two nights there. The front desk staff was friendly and apologetic. They took off one night, but at $300 a night that room was a rip off. Never will we stay there again.

We travel to Tahoe every year. This year we chose Hotel Becket for its location and cost. We arrived around 4pm to check in for our 4 night stay and there were a couple of people already waiting. These people were existing patrons who had concerns about not having towels in their rooms after housekeeping had serviced their rooms. We made our way to our room which housekeeping was in process of cleaning. As we approached, a patron from another room asked housekeeping about towels for their room. Housekeeping finished up and I went straight to the bathroom which HAD NO TOWELS except for 2 small washcloths and a shower mat. ☹️ Upon returning from dinner and walking about around 11pm I went to the front desk to ask for 4 towels. The front desk attendant said housekeeping would bring them to my room, which they promptly did. I don’t know if it was a staffing issue or inventory issue that cause the 5 rooms to not have towels. The room itself was very dated. I would not walk on that carpet barefoot. I always travel with flip flops for this reason(they are useful for the shower as well😉) The bathroom was small and had a barn door which did not function properly. I attempted to use the restroom and the door kept sliding open. Each time we had to finesse the door to stay put. Parking is not the best either. It’s best to park early and walk everywhere. Would not recommend.

Checked into room and found food in fringe. Bathroom mirror had tooth paste splatters sink dirty. Toilet has cleaner in bowl but was not clean. I went to office to replace the towels I used to clean my room with and let them know why I used the towels. The next morning my husband went to shower and the shower head fell off. The bathroom sink faucet was broken, a hole in the wall from front door slamming into it. I will never stay there again. The food in their restaurant was terrible and staff was very unprofessional.

Rooms were clean, the shower was small, no tub. I traveled with my grandson and a tub would’ve been a lot easier for bathing. The continental breakfast was good and fresh. The staff was really nice. The shower in the room was clogged and staff sent maintenance man pretty quickly to fix.

An old hotel that has been updated. Great location right across from Heavenly Village with shopping and TONS of great food options. Very awkward room layout - the king size bed basically took up the whole room. No closet, but had a small hang bar in a back corner. Our room had a light switch that was out of place and made us nervous to use and the other light in the room wasn’t working. The bathroom was very clean but had a TINY shower - my average sized husband could barely turn around it in and there is no shelf or ledge to set your own toiletries on. The water would be either burning hot or cold, it was hard to keep the temperature in between. The bathroom only had a window, which didn’t have a screen and opened to face other bathrooms that did have screens. Our room was right outside of the hotel restaurant’s huge meat smoker which was annoying. I had called down and requested more towels and none ever showed up so I went down to the office the next day and they were out down there also. One of the employees tracked some down for us. Cons: - Noisy - Uncomfortable bed - No cleaning service unless requested - Parking, there’s not enough spots for all of the guests and they charge you $10 per day Pros: - Location - Breakfast included - Can borrow bikes for free - 24/7 front desk Overall very average hotel, we were there for 3 nights. Unfortunately I don’t think the pros would put weight the cons for us to stay there again.

I think that the location of this property is wonderful. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again. I am a petite person and barely fit in the corner stall shower, which had zero water pressure. My husband is 6’ 3” and had to stand outside of the shower in order to wash his hair. Overall I found the room to be dark and dingy and lacked many elements of comfort.

Great location, but they spent more money on their marketing photos and website than the rooms. It's a run-of-the-mill old Motel-6 style 2-story hotel, with very thin walls (you can hear every conversation and TV next to your room, plus the traffic and parking lot). The rooms are adequate - nothing special, but comfortable enough other than the noise. Self-Parking is $10, but they seem to sell more parking passes than spots, so good luck finding a place to park if you come back in the evening. The location is incredible though - right across from the Heavenly Gondola, very walkable.

Was a great stay until the hot water stopped working. There was zero communication from management or staff in regards to when it will be working, and what they were doing to rectify the situation with their guest. Unable to shower for two days. Rooms were not cleaned during this time even after calling and requesting. Unfortunately will probably not stay here again.

Hands down the worst experience I've had here. We arrived at 4pm, room was supposed to be ready at 3 but it wasn't. I was told it would be an hour. Left to grab dinner, came back and it still wasn't ready. The two girls behind the counter were the absolute most unprofessional I have ever seen and extremely rude. One sat there in an oversized Raiders shirt and was rude to every customer in line. There was a line of people complaining and a lobby full of people who were also waiting on rooms. Complaints of dirty rooms, black mold, and one guests door fell off. I got back up to the counter a third time to check in and ask if there was anything they could do to remedy the inconvenience. They told me rudely to go stay somewhere else. So i did. I told the other hotel what a terrible experience i had at Hotel Becket and they comped my parking and resort fees because they wanted me to have a good experience. I have stayed at Hotel Becket a few times before this and never had an issue. However this was such a terrible experience i don’t think i will ever be back.

We had a great overnight stay here. Shout out to Charlie and Jenny in the office for being total professionals, excellent hosts, and overall welcoming and friendly folks. The tavern next door has some delicious burgers and great service. We couldn’t be happier. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in town.

Appreciated being able to check in a bit early. I needed rest and the staff accomodated me with an upstairs room that was quiet. Beds were super comfy and room was very clean. Thank you to the whole team! Will be back!!

When we arrived we were told that we were no longer staying at Hotel Becket which we booked, but rather at the "Tahoe Blue Hotel". They stated that the property had split into two different hotels after I made the initial reservation. If someone would have contacted us to inform us, I would have changed my reservation, this was a frustrating surprise. The room itself was a bit outdated and the TV had connection issues on every channel. Shower head was also aggressive and not angled well fora short person, there was no way to adjust it. Front desk staff however was friendly and allowed us a late checkout. And at least this property got to keep the pool area although we did not get to use it this trip.

Great location. Definitely walkable to the gondola. Across the street from all the shops, restaurants, galleries. Great customer service, which is rarity these days. Initially we were given a room in the back in the three story building. Room had very tight layout and hallway in the building smelled. When we requested a different room we were accommodated with a smile, no attitude, and were given nice room facing Park avenue. The rooms are remodeled, modern, clean. Beds are comfortable. Room cleaning is done upon request, we had no issue with this, and didn’t mind requesting the service. Stayed 4 nights, and actually only needed room freshened up once. It makes sense to conserve, and also cleaning crew does not need to clean every single room every single day. Best part we could bring our dog for $25 per day. Lots of dogs in this hotel during our stay. All well behaved, and it’s fun to be surrounded by fellow dog owners. I definitely will stay here again, this will be our destination when visiting south Tahoe. I will just make sure to request a room not in the back building.

Property is at prime location . Everything near by . How ever parking is big issue here even after paying additional parking fee . Room is in good condition and specious . Will stay again here for sure if I am visiting Lake Tahoe .

Hotel Becket is a nice stay and is centrally located to everything in South Lake Tahoe. My suggestions would be to stay at the 2nd building in the back for less noise and to double check if the BBQ spot that's connected to the hotel is open. It never opened and I was told it would be with a 20% discount for staying at Hotel Becket.

The Hotel and its staff were GREAT! Zero complaints! However the Tavern connected to resort where our “complimentary breakfast” was suppose to be was AWEFUL! Cold eggs and greasy cold meat with warm juice, mold on danishes (also hard as rocks). Gross Oh and such Limited hours (open 4 hours which was during normal dinner time) we could never even redeem our one free drink for my Birthday which after the breakfast seem i’m grateful we didn’t. BW should consider changes to that part of their services included.

This hotel has turned into a dump. I have been going here for past few years for snowboarding trips. Beds are dirty and toilet are constantly making noise. Read the fine print…hotel parking is no longer free, but they charge you 10 dollars to park at this dump. The breakfast has improved though , from a paper bag w/ an Apple and a granola bar, to eggs and bacon and a variety of fruits. If you have different options, put your money somewhere else.

Decent, but at a price that was more than I would have payed for a nicer, more spacious room at one of the casinos. The breakfast was good, and I liked the coffee and tea that was always available in the lobby. The only thing that irked me was what I would consider deceptive marketing on Expedia that makes it sound like this property is on the beach (and possibly a private one) or at least has beach access. I also found the many florid names suggesting that this is a luxury property (“Signature Collection by BW) rather laughable. This is a very basic and somewhat dated property on the bustling main drag of SLT near Stateline. It was adequate for our needs, but the boastful monikers (of which I encountered more that one, depending on where I looked online) were entirely out of place. The Expedia listing also says they have bicycles available for guests to use at no charge, when I was told on check in they haven’t for quite some time.

My stay was great. I was however disappointing by the restaurant. We wanted to have BBQ for dinner at 6pm and we were told that the meat would not be ready for another 2 hours. We have to go off property for dinner. On the flip side, the complimentary breakfast was great.

Hotel room was clean, bed was comfortable. Advertised itself as a resort, but no real amenities: no pool, no lobby to speak of, limited places to hang out with other guests. We got one free drink ticket with our room rental for four nights, for the two of us. Breakfast was good. Door keys were awful! They did not work right; you had to try them 5-10 times before they would connect with the lock and open the door. Service was not much. We stayed four nights, no maid service at all. I asked for extra towels and coffee packets, but did not get them until I hunted down the cleaning ladies and got some off their cart. Parking lot was crowded and almost dangerous to walk through, as there were not enough parking spaces for the number of rooms in the hotel.
