Dear Kalesma Team, We wanted to get in touch following our recent stay to say how much we loved Kalesma. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the food was exceptional, and we had a wonderful few days with you. It is a truly special place. However, we did want to share one aspect of our stay that we felt fell below the standard we expected, particularly given the price of the accommodation. Our room had an adjoining door to the neighbouring room, and unfortunately the soundproofing was extremely poor. We could hear our neighbours’ conversations word for word, as well as everyday noises such as the toilet flushing. It felt as though there was very little privacy between the rooms. To be completely honest, on our second morning we were woken by our neighbours having sex. Whilst we appreciate this was, of course, beyond anyone’s control, the fact that it was so clearly audible highlighted just how inadequate the sound insulation between the adjoining rooms was. As we mentioned, we genuinely loved every other aspect of our stay and would happily recommend Kalesma. However, for a hotel of this calibre and at the price point we paid, we don’t feel the level of soundproofing was acceptable, and we wanted to make you aware of it. The property was excellent and loved everything. One issue would be that they stated everything on the left in the minibar was free and everything on the right cost EUR. The chocolates on the left I was charged for, 10 EUR per bar. I ate those every night lol!
