The room was very clean and quiet, and check in was as described. The hotel is quite close to the shoreline. There are no amenities to the hotel, though, so it's quite expensive in that context. I chose this because it was close to the airport, though the cab was nonetheless still quite expensive.

Check in is super easy and the hotel is close to the airport. Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. There are good choices for food within a couple of blocks and a 24hr convenience store across the street. What is bad is that the listing says a shuttle is available and there is NO SHUTTLE. You have to take a taxi both ways and to get to the airport you have to book ahead (hotel recommends a day in advance). Roundtrip taxi is $50 US - 70,000isk

Quiet, clean, comfy beds and great location. clean. I didn’t use the breakfast option. Lots of hot water & good water pressure in shower. Access to walkway along the water is really close. I strongly disagree with this hotel’s rating of 9 out of 10 for the following reasons. No receptionist, no bar/lounge, no restaurant or vending machines, no shuttle. Oh in the “fine “ print a shuttle costs 20 euros for a 4-6 mile ride to or from the airport

The international Airport of Keyflavik is an hour away of Reykjavik, and the hotel is 10 minutes away from the airport. The exterior of Hotel Jazz honestly had me wondering if I’d made a mistake in booking here to have proximity to KEF airport for my early flight. But the inside was clean and professional looking, with the things we needed (mini-fridge, desk, comfortable clean beds, an elevator). This hotel does not have microwaves in the rooms, fyi.

Breakfast was self-serve, so we were able to eat early before heading to airport. Would definitely recommend this to those doing a night in Keflavík on one end of their trip. I probably wouldn't want to stay more than a night as the rooms are just big enough for the beds.

The check in and out was very efficient. Breakfast was varied and good but no scrambled eggs. The location is good and quiet. Plenty of parking. The room condition was not good - there was mold on the wall next to the headboard and many many holes in the cheap looking polyblend sheets. The bathroom looked refurbished at a basic level but the room was probably not.

unhelpful owners Review: We discovered visible mold in our hotel room, which posed a serious health risk to our family, including our toddler. The on-site staff did their best in the moment and moved us to another room, but they explained they couldn’t help further. The real issue is with the owners, who have ignored my request for a refund and shown no concern for guest health or safety. It’s unacceptable that a property would knowingly place guests in unsafe conditions and then refuse to take responsibility afterwards. Sadly, while the front desk staff tried to assist, the lack of accountability from management and ownership means I cannot recommend this hotel.

Had a little bit of what look liked black mold in the corner of a wall and ceiling. Shower would just barely drain. We had standing water in the bathroom after a couple of showers. Was a handy location for the airport and was within walking distance to good food and an Irish pub.

Stayed here on our last night in Iceland before heading home as it was close to the airport. Check in process was easy as you just let yourself in, find your name & grab your keycard. The bathroom though is what knocks down the stars, to start with it smelled of urine & you could see dried urine on the wall behind the toilet, shower doesn’t drain so doesn’t take long before the entire bathroom is flooded with water. Furthermore the beds are like sleeping on a piece of wood…..of our eight nights in Iceland it was by far the hardest bed & our least favorite place we stayed.

The room was small and warm. The window faced the outdoor entryway and designated smoking area. We had to close the window to cut down on the sound of people talking as they entered and exited and smoked. Also to keep the smoke from entering the window. Each day, we had to drive to Reykjavík for more activities. It is conveniently located for a simple overnight near Keflavík airport. Restaurants and convenience stores are nearby.

Wir waren für die Nacht vor dem frühen Flug dort. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sind groß. Leider sind die Zimmer auch sehr hellhörig, man kriegt so ziemlich alles aus dem Nebenzimmern mit, was doch zu wenig Schlaf geführt hat. Das dritte Bett war nicht sehr gemütlich.

Hotel Jazz was an interesting one - it served the purpose of being an airport hotel the night before we left. It was clean, but very bare bones. Check in and checkout were self service so we literally didn’t see another human on the premises (staff or guest) the overnight we were there. It was weird feeling. Free parking, close to the airport.

Had a 6 AM taxi arrangement to the airport. Wake up to no lights and no power in our room. Other guests said the same thing. Wife could hit dry her hair or properly get ready. Using cell phone light to pack. The phone number to get assistance is not answered..No one on site. Unacceptable. Answer your phone. Will be seeking a refund due to the stress this nice place put on us. Totally unacceptable.

We just stayed one night as we had a layover. We look for a hotel close to the airport to reduce the cost of transport. This was about 10min from the airport but still cost $47cdn. There was no front desk staff but our paperwork and key we at the front desk waiting for us. We had a nice breakfast before we left back to the airport.

I was surprised to see a hotel with no staff anywhere. Upon arrival I went in to the front desk to find a basket of notes with names and room keys attached. I found my name and saw my room number but had no idea where it was, I found it after a few minuites of walking around and opened the door to find a completely blackened room (no light) I fumbeled around and found the light switch but it wasn't working. It was so dark I had to use my phone flashlight to see and got to the window and opened the curtains, finally some light. The I discovered you have to insert the room key into the wall switch for electricity to work. The room is small and clean and the bathroom was nice and clean with a nice shower. The window was broken and wouldn't shut properly. The bed was two twin bed pushed together and were comfortable. The breakfast was decent but there are a lot of other choices in the area so if I did it again I would not get the breakfast. It was all self serve again with no staff it seemed like a ghost hotel I would stay here again if I had to but I'd rather not. Nothing really bad to say except no staff anywhere and they have a phone on the counter to call if you need something but several attempts to call and never an answer.

It was all self serve again with no staff it seemed like a ghost hotel I would stay here again if I had to but I'd rather not. Nothing really bad to say except no staff anywhere and they have a phone on the counter to call if you need something but several attempts to call and never an answer.

There is an issue with the staff, they don’t speak English very well when I checked in they informed me my reservation didn’t include breakfast however it clearly stated free continental breakfast and mentioned it’s an issue with Expedia. After reaching out to Expedia they advised that breakfast was included when I walked down a female approached me to ask my room number and proceeded to say “you need to pay” despite showing her the conversation with Expedia and the advertisement about their “hotel” they declined to allow us to have breakfast without paying and she didn’t understand English so she just kept saying ok extremely misleading information

Hotel Jazz was an interesting one - it served the purpose of being an airport hotel the night before we left. It was clean, but very bare bones. Check in and checkout were self service so we literally didn’t see another human on the premises (staff or guest) the overnight we were there. It was weird feeling. Free parking, close to the airport.

We just stayed one night as we had a layover. We look for a hotel close to the airport to reduce the cost of transport. This was about 10min from the airport but still cost $47cdn. There was no front desk staff but our paperwork and key we at the front desk waiting for us. We had a nice breakfast before we left back to the airport.

Quiet, clean, comfy beds and great location. clean. I didn’t use the breakfast option. Lots of hot water & good water pressure in shower. Access to walkway along the water is really close. Was able to see the water from my room. There is no onsite restaurant but it’s walking distance to great restaurants & pubs. I only stayed one night but would stay again.

Great location in easy reach of the airport. This is a lovely quiet hotel next to the sea front and in the centre of Keflavik so it’s a nice area to walk around as well. We liked the self service element and also the early breakfast buffet.

Heel nette kamer, mooi, ruim. Self check in. Alles lag perfect klaar. Ontbijt is ook self service: alles staat klaar in ontbijtruimte, veel keuze voor beleg. Koffiemachine, koelkast met yoghurt, kaas, vleesbeleg, fruit en gekookte eieren. Prima zo!

We stayed two nights. On breakfasts of the second morning,bread with mould was left out for us (see image). We are not permited to give out of date food to the homeless. Strands of hair were on the bathroom sink and in the duvet. This is a criticism of management who is responsible for providing fresh food and checking on bathrooms. The toilet seat moves and the washbasin tap is easily removed. These are minor repairs which management can easily sort out.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. The bathroom fan does not do its job, so the room was very stuffy and towels did not dry. Luckily, ours had a desk fan to help with the air temperature in the room. A friends did not. Hotels.com said they had a free continental breakfast, but when we arrived it said No Breakfast hand written on the check in sheet. There was a wonderful cafe, down the road. Best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had and priced well. Everything was self check in and out at the Hotel. No one was around to ask questions to or provide any services.

We had a short over night stay. Website says airport transfers available. They we not. Taxi from airport was $35. The light by the sink was not working, and there was major dust under the bed. Speaking of the bed, the mattress was very firm. Breakfast was included, which was self service. All cold items, very basic. I would probably not stay there again

Hotel Jazz is amazing. Great location, central to all restaurants, shopping and water. We loved the self service check in , check out. Free parking out front of the hotel, and the free breakfast was great for an early morning airport departure. We would stay here again!

Great small hotel in the heart of town. Yanna was the perfect host at check in. After an overnight flight she got a room ready quickly so that we could check in early and rest. Only issues were no wash clothes and room safe wouldn’t work because batteries were dead. Breakfast was good.
