What made me choose this property was the shuttle service to the airport terminal. However I come to find out it is only One Way, and not return from terminal. The airport is close, not close enough to walk with bags, but close enough that the airport taxis are not excactely thrilled at getting such a short fare.

Did a 2 night layover at this hotel, worked out great. Honestly my only complaint is the one treadmill in the small gym was bowing downwards which made it difficult to not make it sound like an elephant was stomping around. Considering folks have been cooped up on an airplane for god knows how long, like me, and just wanna walk or burn off some steam after the flight when it’s dark, cold and raining outside. Otherwise, would consider staying again.

Very clean, modern property, breakfast options are great and tasty, breakfast hours 6-10 am is a plus, rooms were cleaned daily, towels and beddings were changed daily as well, nice friendly staff, very close to the airport, hotels shuttle runs from 5am till 8am only. Overall great place to stay.

We stayed there Nov 6-8 2025 with connecting rooms and have to say the hotel was spotless,rooms were spacious beds were comfortable. They had a nice breakfast in the morning until 10am which was good, we chose this hotel because it is so close to the airport only 8 minutes away and the familiar name. Now to the best part the staff, everyone working there was polite and helpful especially the front desk staff Yeraldin and Innocent they were very knowledgeable of the area the restaurants. They even gave us an idea of where to see the northern lights which we did see and of course amazed by them. When visiting go to the Blue Lagoon and the restaurant called Lava you won’t be disappointed they have a Michelin star and deserve it. We also rented a car from the airport you’re going to need it unless you’re doing the tour bus thing but I like doing my own exploring. We’ll be back next year

All was good. Early check in appreciated , staff awesome. Only reason I backed off a couple of stars on comfort is the partially glassed in bathroom and doorless shower. Maybe just me but the set up was a little weird…

Nice room and great staff, but the choice to have a semi transparent bathroom was strange and not complimentary to having 2 people in the hotel room (can't see through, but also unusable when the other is sleeping). Room thermostat was programed to not go below 19° C and the only source of ventilation came from a small window that had to be covered with black out curtains in order to sleep. So, basically, hot and stuffy. While the hotel was aesthetically nice, it did not provide a good environment for sleep.

Very convenient to the KEF airport (although not within walking distance). The bathroom is a little goofy - it has a tinted glass wall and door on the bathroom. That's a real bummer if your spouse gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom; the bathroom lights shine into the bedroom portion of the room.

It is one of the nicest hotels in keflavik, but it is located far from town. The biggest problem is the ventilation system does not blow fresh air, at least not in my room, No matter how I set the thermostat. But the HVAC system should be able to blow fresh air, but it doesn't.

Great Staff but TINY rooms! Honestly smallest Marriot hotel room I’ve been to! I suppose that may be the case for all airport hotels…? The gym is more of an exercise ROOM as opposed to a gym with 3 machines and some free weights. Breakfast was great, shuttle service efficient. Bottom line set your ‘space’ expectations low and you’ll be fine!

The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and made such a difference in my trip! I was only in Iceland for one night. They allowed me to check in early. They also were kind enough to allow me to change rooms to an airport-facing room after I explained my purpose to coming to Iceland was to get pictures of the airport. They could have just told me it wasn’t possible since I was already checked in to a different room #, but helped me get one facing the airport and on a higher floor. It truly made a huge difference in my experience in Iceland because I could watch the airplanes from inside the building, not stand in the parking lot in freezing, windy weather. Some of the friendliest employees I met in all my time in Iceland!

After having a confirmed reservation for months - and receiving communication from Courtyard the day before that they were looking forward to seeing us the next day, - we arrived to be told there was a “mix up” with Hotels.com and we did not have a room. The email the day before said, “At Courtyard, we live by the Golden Rule, treating others like we’d like to be treated. This principal has always been our guiding light.” I don’t believe so. They shuttled us to another less expensive hotel (Park Inn) without any compensation for the change.

I am so glad we made the choice to stay here! We used a 2 night stop over from Icelandair on our way home from Zurich to Boston. First, the property could not have been more convenient, we rented a car at the airport and drove a mile or so to the hotel. We received a friendly greeting upon arrival for check in and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. The Assistant Hotel Manager, Maciej Forysiak, went above and beyond in helping us to make the most of our time in beautiful Iceland. He suggested that we might be able to see the Northern Lights if we went to a particular place that evening and gave us directions. Did we ever see the Northern Lights, we are beyond grateful for our good timing and his great suggestion! The next day he provided us with suggestions of what we could see on the south coast with just one day of driving, complete with a list of what to see and a map to follow. What a wonderful 48 hours we had in large part due to our choice of staying at this hotel. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of delicious selections and of course the coffee was great. Thank you and I hope we can return some day soon!

Nice modern hotel. Good room sizes. Excellent food in restaurant. Odd location. Very close to KEF airport but an hour away from Reykjavík. 20 minutes from Blue Lagoon and not much else. Taxis are very expensive and no other public transportation options. I stayed on my way out of Iceland

Nice building, great rooms, slightly expensive. Too bad they don’t offer a shuttle from the airport, and only from the hotel to the Airport. Dining room closes early at night (we arrived just before 9pm, and we could only order drinks)
