It\'s a bit hard to find but then that is how things are in San Pedro de Atacama. Good location-about a 10 min. walk to the main drag in the town. Room was nice and comfortable and had a big fan since it was coming into summer season and while daily highs of around 80, well, since there are never clouds here, things really heat up in the afternoon. The grandmotherly owner lives onsite and she was very sweet. Didn\'t have much time for the little pool but it was covered and since this is high desert the water temp was quite cool. I would recommend having earplugs with you since the owner has a little Yorkie like my mom does and they are the "yappiest" dogs on earth-it was quite annoying. It would be nice if they had a mini-fridge in the room since I think the daily rate is a bit high but at least I had access to put my beverages in the fridge in the breakfast area.

Great place close to Caracoles This hotel is close to Caracoles street and the owners were so helpful about the area. The room was super clean. We had good internet connection with no problem. Another highlight from this place is that we had an excursion with a 4:30 am pick up and they left some snacks to take along with us. That was awesome!

Handy situated with short walk to main shopping area. Family owned. Although limited english we were well looked after, the father was most helpful. It was lovely having a pool to relax in as the weather was very hot.

Only catchall staff on duty Luis was welcoming, friendly, helpful and a grandfatherly figure. He let us leave our bags after checkout. Clean, comfortable beds but room bit tight for 3 adults with DBL bed + bunk beds, nowhere to hang clothes, only 1 chest of drawers. No air con as other rooms, but night temperature was cool. Nice small pool and breakfast/patio area with kitchen, fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, milk provided open 24 hrs. Make your own breakfast eggs, to clear up afters. Good location 7 mins walk to main street. Small restaurant selling pizza, empenadas and small shops selling snacks, water 1-3mins across the street. hang area to to lounge

Vicuña Lodge was a pleasant surprise. It is very well kept, spotless and nice! It is conveniently located within mi utes to Caracoles street, where most of the city activity, restaurants and tour operators are located. Only downside is that rooms are around a long square so very exposed to noise although a nice design

Property was really good and the host was really friendly and accomodating even though we don't speak the language. They prepared breakfast for us every morning and cleaned the rooms every day too. Small property so you can talk to other guests as well. Waking up and eating breakfast with the view of desert and mountains in the backdrop was really special too. The place is 5 mins walk from main market street so you are perfectly tucked away from peak tourist traffic and still close enough to get out and do your stuff. The airport transfer services come up to the hostel and most of the tours can pick you up from this location. Ones which cannot will generally pick up from a location which can not be more than 10 moinutes walk. We visited in winter and from our experience, two things that I want to highlight. 1. you are very close to the driest place on the earth so pack lotion and 2 because you are in the middle of a desert and temperatures drop significantly at night its better to pack warm clothes to sleep in. Room was colder than a usual hotel room.

Foi muito boa. Os proprietários muito gentis e solícitos. Fica perto do centrinho, 7 minutos a pé. O cafe da manhã nao é dos melhores mas suficiente. Tem água disponível todo o tempo e algumas frutas também.

Nice lodging with hot breakfast daily or bagged breakfast prepared if going on an early excursion. Comfortable lounge area , nice pool and friendly staff. We got a discounted tour rate with Atacama Expeditions for being Vicuna Lodge guests.

Ótima estadia em SAN Pedro de Atacama, a pousada é aparentemente nova. próxima da rua caracoles 5 minutos a pé. Tem uma mercearia na frente e uma loja de lanches na esquina. Lugar tranquilo. Chuveiro quente, ventilador, banheiro privativo, cozinha completa.
Ótima estadia em SAN Pedro de Atacama, a pousada é aparentemente nova. próxima da rua caracoles 5 minutos a pé. Tem uma mercearia na frente e uma loja de lanches na esquina. Lugar tranquilo. Chuveiro quente, ventilador, banheiro privativo, cozinha completa.

Ett mycket trevligt litet hotel med "hostel känsla". Rummen är ganska små (samtliga varianter) och servicen begränsad. Trots det är det ett hotel med "atmosfär" och det är lätt att trivas här. Frukosten är enkel men god. Det finns ost, skinka och marmelad till smörgåsarna. Ägg får man steka själv. Köket kan man använda hela dagen och fixa egen mat. Ett gemensamt kylskåp finns. Utsikt mot vulkanerna medan man äter frukost. Poolen är liten men ger svalka om det är varmt. Promenad till centrum tar 7 minuter. Management består av ägaren och en städerska, som bägge är trevliga och bara pratar spanska. Sammantaget kan man trivas bra här, men man skall inte ha höga förväntningar på lyx och service.

Amei me hospedar no Vicuña, hotel simples, porém com comodidade, Sr Guilhermo o melhor anfitrião que conheci até hoje, sempre preocupado, sorridente, prestativo, além de ser uma ótima companhia para grandes conversas. Saiamos alguns dias para passeios muito cedo, não sendo ainda servido café, porém Sr Guilhermo sempre deixava na nossa porta uma sacolinha com sucos, barrinhas, frutas, bolachas, para que não ficassemos com fome! O quarto com cama confortável, ventilador e aquecedor, o chuveiro hiper esquentava rsrs, café da manhã servido de forma individual, e durante todo dia, havia possibilidade de tomar café, chá ou bolachinhas. Próximo do centrinho, não há perigo de andar em qualquer horário. A única coisa que me deixou triste foi não ter conseguido tirar uma foto com ele!

Situación perfecta, muy cerca del centro pero tranquilo. Habitación práctica y muy limpia. Personal servicial y encantador, un placer hablar con ellos y seguir las indicaciones sobre visitas a hacer. Relación calidad/precio inmejorable. Por supuesto volveríamos encantados a este Lodge.

A lot of money to spend for a place which wasn’t imo worth it. The wardrobe doors were flimsy and when opened the wardrobe shuddered and swayed as though it were to collapse. The toilet wouldn’t fill automatically, luckily the shower was close by with a flexible hose to fill it after every flush, which was just bothersome. The cord for the heater didn’t even reach the wall socket: and the heater is wall mounted so literally no way of moving it closer. Not great on chilly nights. Housekeeping came on the 3rd day, the room was left tidy and well made up, but the chemical cleaning spray they use to “scent” the rooms is chokingly awful. Even with door and window open it wouldn’t subside. The senior manager kept singing my name every time he saw me, whilst entertaining at first it became overbearing very quickly. Also introducing me to every single person in the hotel was a bit extroverted given I was just trying to eat breakfast. It’s close to town, maybe a 5 minute walk, has a few good spots around for food and supplies, but ultimately I felt it was a rather large pricetag for something I would have paid half for in my own overpriced country. Given the rooms inadequacies it was too much.

The host did not speak english. The room was not nice, furniture in bathroom almost falling apart. The first morning we arrived a little late for breakfast - and the host had left the food (low quality ham, cheese….) out in the sun…. Compared to other hotels we stayed at, the price for this hotel eas the most expensive - and by far the worst one. No recommendation from us!

We had a great stay at Vicuña Lodge. Beds are super comfortable and warm, rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday. Modern bathroom with good shower. Good breakfast and they provide a takeaway one if you are out early. The female owner (Lilli?) was super welcoming and attentive. Helped us out with a very time sensitive airport transfer problem. She makes you feel very welcome and is always on hand for anything. Location is perfect as well - 5 minute walk from the main street. Would highly recommend as a base for doing the Atacama.

Fiquei hospedada por 6 dias, quarto confortável e bem limpo, todos os dias era feito a limpeza e troca da roupa de cama e toalhas. Café da manhã bom e quando tínhamos passeios antes do horário do café era deixado uma sacola com alguns itens para levar ao passeio. Chuveiro com água quente e também não tivemos nenhum problema com internet. Próximo a rua caracoles (em torno de 8min andando), percurso super tranquilo e ainda com uma vista surreal de linda (andávamos olhando os vulcões e montanhas, pra mim super era super terapêutico kk) De frente há um mercado que inclusive com preços melhores do que na rua caracoles. Anfitrião suuuuper atencioso, inclusive, muito obrigada por toda gentileza e atenção em nossa estadia!

The room was a perfect size for 4 adults and it also had air conditioning. The Staff was amazing and really made our stay in the Dessert great. We enjoyed the the room, location and staff was a big help. A short walk to shopping & restaurants. It was perfect for us!

Only catchall staff on duty Luis was welcoming, friendly, helpful and a grandfatherly figure. He let us leave our bags after checkout. Clean, comfortable beds but room bit tight for 3 adults with DBL bed + bunk beds, nowhere to hang clothes, only 1 chest of drawers. No air con as other rooms, but night temperature was cool. Nice small pool and breakfast/patio area with kitchen, fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, milk provided open 24 hrs. Make your own breakfast eggs, to clear up afters. Good location 7 mins walk to main street. Small restaurant selling pizza, empenadas and small shops selling snacks, water 1-3mins across the street. hang area to to lounge

Vicuña Lodge was a pleasant surprise. It is very well kept, spotless and nice! It is conveniently located within mi utes to Caracoles street, where most of the city activity, restaurants and tour operators are located. A lot of money to spend for a place which wasn’t imo worth it. The wardrobe doors were flimsy and when opened the wardrobe shuddered and swayed as though it were to collapse. The toilet wouldn’t fill automatically, luckily the shower was close by with a flexible hose to fill it after every flush, which was just bothersome. The cord for the heater didn’t even reach the wall socket: and the heater is wall mounted so literally no way of moving it closer. Not great on chilly nights. Housekeeping came on the 3rd day, the room was left tidy and well made up, but the chemical cleaning spray they use to “scent” the rooms is chokingly awful. Even with door and window open it wouldn’t subside. The senior manager kept singing my name every time he saw me, whilst entertaining at first it became overbearing very quickly. Also introducing me to every single person in the hotel was a bit extroverted given I was just trying to eat breakfast. It’s close to town, maybe a 5 minute walk, has a few good spots around for food and supplies, but ultimately I felt it was a rather large pricetag for something I would have paid half for in my own overpriced country. Given the rooms inadequacies it was too much.

Tudo incrível. O atendimento foi excelente, todos muito simpáticos e prestativos. Saímos todos os dias muito cedo para passeios e deixavam um café da manhã super reforçado pra gente na porta do nosso quarto. Very helpful staff and nothing too difficult. Room was fine for 4 adults and affordable. Breakfast was adequate for our needs. We were on tours for the majority of the time. The staff even gave us a breakfast snack pack outside our room as we left early on a tour one morning.

Great place to stay. Staff magnificent starting with Guillermo . Worry about us the whole stay and even gave us breakfast pack when we did an early tour also the owner went out of her way to get me medication when I wasn’t felling well . Highly recommend

We had a great stay at Vicuña Lodge. Beds are super comfortable and warm, rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday. Modern bathroom with good shower. Good breakfast and they provide a takeaway one if you are out early. The female owner (Lilli?) was super welcoming and attentive. Helped us out with a very time sensitive airport transfer problem. She makes you feel very welcome and is always on hand for anything. Location is perfect as well - 5 minute walk from the main street. Would highly recommend as a base for doing the Atacama.

Property was really good and the host was really friendly and accomodating even though we don't speak the language. They prepared breakfast for us every morning and cleaned the rooms every day too. Small property so you can talk to other guests as well. Waking up and eating breakfast with the view of desert and mountains in the backdrop was really special too. The place is 5 mins walk from main market street so you are perfectly tucked away from peak tourist traffic and still close enough to get out and do your stuff. The airport transfer services come up to the hostel and most of the tours can pick you up from this location. Ones which cannot will generally pick up from a location which can not be more than 10 moinutes walk. We visited in winter and from our experience, two things that I want to highlight. 1. you are very close to the driest place on the earth so pack lotion and 2 because you are in the middle of a desert and temperatures drop significantly at night its better to pack warm clothes to sleep in. Room was colder than a usual hotel room.

Great place close to Caracoles This hotel is close to Caracoles street and the owners were so helpful about the area. The room was super clean. We had good internet connection with no problem. Another highlight from this place is that we had an excursion with a 4:30 am pick up and they left some snacks to take along with us. That was awesome!

A little expensive for the service. At €20 less per night, the service would have been considered excellent. The room is small and the only window overlooks an interior patio. . But there is a shared terrace which is very pleasant and makes up for this inconvenience. The breakfast is adequate, nothing more.

The room was confortable and spacious. Shower was good with plenty of hot water. The hostel is close to the tour agencies and restaurants. The manager don Guillermo tried to help us in everything we needed but the other staff didn't give us towels and the breakfast was not ready at 8.30am. The breakfast was basic and only one toaster was in use, we needed to wait to use it, There was not help and properly service at breakfast and cleaning.

Basic and simple rooms. Well maintained and cleaned everyday (they cleaned the floors, so dust not an issue). The included breakfast is very simple and staff will cook you eggs if you want. Staff great and friendly. We went on a tour and were going to miss breakfast; they dropped a snack breakfast on our door.

The check-in/ check- out were really smooth! Host was super supportive and helpful. There is a morning when my tour started at 4am, they packed me a small breakfast bag which is a super nice touch. I had a lovely stay there!

Great customer service from Sofia, a little far from the Main Street like 12 minutes walk but still a good place to stay, breakfast was very good if you eat it there.
