I booked 2 superior TWIN rooms with the request to upgrade to ONLY IF they are also twin. I received their CONFIRMATION ON HOTELS. We arrived almost 4 hours after check in. During check in, I CONFIRMED with the reception again only to see we were given a twin room and a room with king bed. When I told them about their confirmation both on Hotels and during check in literally 15 mins ago, I was told confirmation on Hotels does not count since I did not write to the hotel directly. They also told me they gave OUR room to another guest who arrived earlier and did not clarify why the reception LIED during check in and got upgrade fee. I told them booking means keeping the rooms for the guest and Devi from reception said that’s not how it works there. She said all guests paid in advance as did I, they simply did not have the room I booked and I should just go with whatever they had. Mind you, they CHARGED me for the ugrade during check in. Then they put a single bed in our room which had a much slimmer mattress sinking in when sat on and extremely uncomfortable to sleep. Debi also told me they could change our rooms 2 days later basically asking us to unpack, then pack again 2 days later and unpack again. Sink also exploded that night! There was Agus on the reception the next day who said rooms could have been arranged, and waived the upgrade fee for ONE ROOM. We did not want to pack and unpack again, so went with it. Also, beach is no longer beach cuz of the construction.

The property was exceptionally clean, and the staff were both attentive and genuinely warm in their interactions. Breakfast was superb, offering a wide variety of options, with staff consistently going the extra mile to understand and accommodate individual needs. The pools and swim‑up bar were excellent features and were maintained to an impeccable standard. The tranquil gardens created a calm and inviting ambience throughout the property, all while being situated directly on the beach. The hotel also offered outstanding proximity to local shops and attractions. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Had a very relaxing enjoyable stay at Bali Gardens Beach Resort. Great location, very nice and helpful staff. Thought the departure lounge for checked out patrons was an excellent and very useful idea. Our only issue were not having very good hot water pressure at all in our room, which we didn't realise was possibly an exception until we used the showers in the departure lounge on our last day. Also we didn't have the ideal view from our balcony area which was on the ground floor and at the back of a front road restaurant exposed to road noise - but not everyone can have the nice garden or sea view and we were likely one of the more budget stayers and therefor less profitable and so.... you can't have it all. I would recommend Bali Gardens for anyone.
