Sugar Palm Grand Hillside - SHA Plus

Nice and clean room and pool. Great staff, and the food was very good. Will be back next year.

We were not satisfied with our stay. Our room was extremely far from the lobby and was located at the very end of the property. To reach the room, we had to change elevators twice and then walk up 63 stairs. It took approximately 7 minutes to walk from our room down to the courtyard, which was very inconvenient. Inside the room, there was a serious hygiene issue. There were larvae everywhere. I removed many of them, but they kept coming back, which was very unpleasant. The room layout also did not make sense. The sinks were placed outside of the bathroom, which felt impractical and confusing. On a positive note, the staff were kind and polite, which we appreciated. However, overall, the stay did not meet our expectations.

Really good rooms, good size, very clean and well maintained. Feels a bit weird when you first get in due to the shape of the building, but soon got used to it. Common areas and pool very quiet and nicely kept. The plunge pool and hot bath was a bonus, shame the sauna and steam room weren't quite ready for use as currently being refurbes, but looked great. The bar on the top deck is worth a visit for the view. Good location, easy to walk to Kata and Kata Noi beach.

Great hotel and we loved spending time in our pool, breakfast was great, proximity to the beach and shops was a 3 minute walk, workout room was tiny however, climbing the hill to and from the hotel was enough of a workout that we needed.
