If you want luxury, pay luxury prices. If you want comfort and essentials at a reasonable price then this is for you. The lovely staff and great food the pub has to offer is an absolute bonus. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious, great value for money and relaxed. Parking is plentiful - i didn't use the wi-fi or visit the surrounding area so cannot comment If youre looking for somewhere to rest your head for a night or two then i can wholeheartedly recommend the crown inn.

Very friendly staff and nice enough room. Bed wasn't particularly comfy but ok for one night, would have struggled with longer. Parking spaces are tiny so most cars parked over 2 spaces. Pub was busy so consider booking in advance if you want food - if the weather hadn't been good, I wouldn't have been able to eat there as there were no available tables inside.

Lovely pub, good parking, decent food. Warm shower. Only downside, bed was very very hard, and the person below me had their tv blaring till gone 2 in the morning. But that’s not the fault of the hotel. Would stay here again.

Landlady was lovely and really helpful. Pub was nice, plenty of parking and the room had all you need. Nothing spectacular but I’d be happy to stay again.

Phone call before i arrived to update me on procedure. Bathroom was lovely clean and looked new. Towels were lovely and fresh and bed linen was spotlessly clean. Bedroom furniture was old fashioned but usable and door matt appeared very dirty and stained. Walls a bit thin could hear someone coughing all night. But great stop over very clean and easy check in and out

On arriving at the hotel I was given the key for my room went upstairs stripped the bed back to find yellow all over the mattress cover P stain not just a little the whole bed went downstairs to reception. I was given another room when I done the same to that bed. It hadn’t got a mattress cover on But the bed was very uncomfortable. Not happy at all. I’ve put a complaint in to Hotels.com watch this space?

I was in room 3 the bathroom had black mould on the tiles absolutely dirty the carpet in bedroom was dirty I walked around in my socks after shower the bottom of my socks where filthy also never changed bedding or towels and did not replace tea or coffee as only had one teabag . I was there for three nights.dirtyest hotel ever. Will never stop there again

Extremely helpfully and kindly staff. When i told them that i would be late arriving, nothing was too much . Room spotless, ensuite too. Well appointed, towels spotless and lovely and soft. First class. Well worth a visit. Great value too. Thank you to everyone.

Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, powerful shower, quick check-in, helpful staff. Only improvement would be to find a way to prevent the doors in the corridor from slamming shut as quite noisy.

The place in general had a nice feel to it and looked pleasant. The room its self while it was clean it had a grubby look to it. Could do with redecoration. Bathroom was well presented and nicely laid out. The was a smell present upon entry to the room which was like what I imagine a barn would smell like. Facilities for making a tea or coffee were provided, however the kettle lead did not reach the socket. Bed was quite comfortable. All in all as a place to put your head down it was ok. Bar closes early but breakfast was reasonably priced and very tasty.

Room and ensuite good but mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Could have done with a portable fan in the room as the weather was hot and sticky and the noise outside meant we had to close the windows.

Disappointing but I suppose you get what you pay for. Room was tired, bed uncomfortable but appeared clean. Bathroom needs TLC. Food was excellent although service was a little challenging at times. I had a room over the courtyard which is adjacent to a busy road. Lots of noise. Tried to drown it out with the TV but the TV reception went from OK to non existent.

The room and en-suite were clean and a generous size. Tea and coffee we're provided which was appreciated. Unfortunately the room was unbearably hot with only a tiny window for ventilation. A fan to move the air around may have made it more comfortable.

Extremely flexible when booking in, I required to book in early (10.00 AM) as my circumstances changed. The staff very kindly accommodated this request without any issues, saving me a lot of stress and worry. Room very clean and bed comfortable. If I could suggest a fan for the room as it was very hot at the time of staying, other than that would happily stay again.

The check in was awful the woman receptionist ( although theres no actual reception) was awful, she didnt say hellp, please or Thankyou her attitude was awful you cannot greet guests this way. The room given was a disabled room everything too low toilet had no toilet seat, the bathroom itself was awful i went to supermarket and brought cleaning products and air freshners the mould in the room and bathroom was awful This could be a great hotel if a litte work was done painting and decorating, the bar staff were really friendly though and room could have been better if it was not disabled access.. Ive stayed in over 500 hotels in the world and my reviews are based on honest experience, 2/10. Really requires staff who know how to address guests and smile it costs nothing to smile and be polite

Really quiet, very warm, free wifi, and a real bath! 5 minutes walk from Aldi and 10 minutes walk from the bus stop, large car park for drivers. The housemaids only come in to clean if you want to and they work in twos, which I think is a really good idea (google Sofitel DSK). Will definitely stay there again if I need to.

IT'S a little tricky to find with the crazy one way system the first time you visit,Breakfast starting so late in the morning i think they said around 10ish ?. That's crazy .but for the price for a night is excellent, that's i stay there when I can friendly good service good beer and food and a quiet location very close to major road links.

The mattress felt a little soft for me, but I'm a hefty bloke. I had dinner in the pub and it was excellent. Room was fine, would have been a bit of traffic noise if I'd kept the window open at night... But it's near a road!

Perfect stop off and quiet when windows closed. It is expected with heavy traffic route. The pub is lovely and cosy atmosphere. Great food thoroughly recommend the menu and a good warm pub meal.

Good place to stay for short stay if don't mind being out of centre of town. Breakfast wasn't option as had to leave before start serving at 10am, apart from that place is pleasant enough.

Perfect for a stopover. Room was clean and had walk in shower, kettle and tea/coffee. Bed was comfortable Breakfast isn’t included and isn’t available until 10am. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed midweek so it was quiet and bar closed at 9.30.
