Stayed 3 nights

This was a 3 night break. Really looking forward to a good catchup in top class surroundings and hoping to eat in most nights after days exploring, but our dining experience from 10 minutes of arrival soured those plans. We had pre booked afternoon tea for our arrival…pot of tea came, then, after waiting for an hour and asking 3 times when we could expect the food, the afternoon tea food was placed infront of us. Incorrect order as we had pre informed them that one guest was a vegetarian and that had been totally forgotten. After waiting a further 20mins, veggie sandwiches arrived - had been hastily put together . By this time, we had to order more tea as we had none left after the wait! The staff, none of whom appeared very experienced in making the customer feel “special” or even “satisfied” didn’t seem bothered about our wait. After this horrendous start to our visit, we decided that we would write the experience off and give the catering another chance-lounge bar for a meal in the evening. Our order for drinks and from the menu was taken after a 15 minutes wait. However…we had to chase up the drinks as we still had not received them after another 15mins. Then we had to chase up our order after a further hour’s wait!!! We were not alone in having to wait and once again the staff were glum! On a positive side, breakfast in the restaurant- helpful, smiling staff and efficient service. Rooms clean and comfortable. Well done Mollie & Iwona! Walking trails👍. Will not be back!

Staff were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were immaculate. Breakfast and dinner was delicious, great selection for both although didnt get our drinks until we finished our meal. Downstairs bar was closed which was disappointing as had to keep going upstairs to purchase drinks while we enjoyed the games area. Could have happily spent all day in the pool area so relaxing well looked after, staff so friendly.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in a long time. Stayed here with my son as a stop of point on a ‘road trip’ and what a place!! Hit the driving range and the meal in the restaurant was fantastic!! The staff were very friendly and even willing to have a joke and carry on with my wee son. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!! Would love to try a long weekend and the golf course as it looks to be in great condition!!

We had two rooms . Both ok but think mattresses need upgrades. Also rubbish out side windows on flat roof doesn’t make a good look. But would stay again Food in bar was lovely as were the waiting staff.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic setting. Room and bathroom a good size. Breakfast had a good choice of food and replenished. The only fault is that the pool & spa area is not very accessible in that while the lift goes to floor one it is for staff only. It is also poorly signposted, we had to walk around quite a bit to find the changing room which was accessed through the ladies & gents toilets. Robes and slippers would also have been useful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return ourselves.
