Kind staff that were helpful. The rooms were clean and had comfy beds. They gave us plenty of clean towels and basic toiletries like body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The bathrooms were communal, but that wasn’t an issue. The only group I had was that some of the bathrooms were not as clean on the left side. Everything else was very clean, and the water was sufficiently hot. The bathrooms on the left side could also use some mirrors. Internet connection was fast and steady and you were just steps away from a beer if you needed. The location was above a bar and on the main street, so it is loud so bring your own ear plugs. I don’t have any complaints with this location and recommended if you have a large group and don’t mind the dorm style layout.

unfortunately the dining room was not available when we stayed and the problem with parking was unexpected but we found the staff pleasant and helpful. the room was all we needed for a one night stay

In my haste to book a single night at late notice . I didn’t realise this hotel was above a pub and had shared bathroom facilities. This would have been fine, except that check in with three kids at night meant we had to walk through the bar area, tired and with luggage. It was hard to find where to check in. Bathrooms and sinks inside the room were not very clean. There was a smoky smell from years of being above a pub and my daughters asthma flared up.The beds were comfortable and the location suited us, but we would not return. Relatively cheap for Sydney but not brilliant given we didn’t have a toilet.

There was a very strong smell of cigarettes throughout the upstairs area. It was obvious that people were smoking in their rooms and even the bathrooms. The room I had was directly above the pub so noisy till very late. Couldn't get any sleep till after 12 midnight. Not the best stay unfortunately.

The stay was very noisy. I got hardly any sleep. Music was going on in the next room till 2.00am, people were talking loudly in the hallway throughout the night, and then someone joined them to throw up in the toilet several times. I could hear everything. The heavy doors banging throughout the night added to the noise, and the walls and doors offered little sound insulation. There was the strong smell of cigarettes throughout the hallway.

The property was great for the price. Exactly what you would expect. You need to fix the toilet door. There are screws protruding from the lock that are making if hard to close. whenever someone uses the toilet, they need to bang the door to make it shut. We were woken several times. Something to fix. we will be back as over all it was pleasant. The staff were super helpful and friendly.

I didn't stay. straight after I was made to use the internet to book,even though I was physically there at the Ryde Hotel. I went to get key and the server behind the bar refused me my stay and said he had refunded me my money. He did not and I was left stranded in Sydney for the night because I needed my money back to rebook another room at another location. I had to sleep at the train station till the morning as there were no more trains to Oberon 3hrs away. I'm angry and I was scared and I want my money back today please

We booked a queen room wotif confirm that booking but when we arrive they give us twin room for a couple when we ask them to refund and they refuse to do that and we didn’t help us at all …. Worst experience ever

There was work been done which we were not aware. We checked out 1 day earlier because work started at 6am. The water was cut off so we couldn’t have a shower. When told the staff they could care less and were not apologetic.
