Stayed 3 nights

Stayed here for 4 nights in June 26. Staff, particularly Emma were especially helpful, proactive and really great for a chat. We ate here a few nights after Monday, as no food service on Mondays. Despite the June heat wave, the room wasn't too bad. No cooling fan (not that we have that many heatwaves), but a damp sheet quickly did the trick. I sleep with earplugs, and there is a road outside, although it's very quiet, you can still hear cars going past. This adds to the village atmosphere IMO. I appreciated the room had a desk, so I could catch up on work in evenings when needed. There's also a village shop in the car park, which is well stocked and quite large for a small shop (fridges, alcohol, sweets, basics, treats. Plenty!). Opening times are: 09:00 - 18:30, Mon - Fri 09:00 - 16:00, Sat 09:00 - 12:00, Sun I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and getting to know the village, which is well connected to local roads and was very close to where I was working.

The room was small but clean. It was located above the bar so some noise till closing time. My visit was spoilt be inconsiderate guests slamming doors and loud tv in the next room. The food was very nice as was the beer. A good pub/Hotel for the price. Would stay again.
