A lift to the upper floor would be beneficial for elderly customers

We had an overnight stay here to break up a journey from Scotland to the south of England, both there and back. The rooms were comfortable and we were glad of the air-conditioning they had. The inn next door was welcoming and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast on both stays. This wasn't included with the room, but was very good and well priced. We can certainly recommend this hotel.

Rooms looked brand new and sparkling clean. Bedding like new. Great to have usb ports for phone charging etc. and to have a good restaurant right next door!

I spent two nights in this hotel and while it was clean, the bed was very hard which left me with back pain after two nights. There was no lift either so I had to lug all my suitcases up the stairs which was a bit difficult, and there didn’t seem to be an option to ask for a ground floor room. You could order food from the pub next door and collect it, but you couldn’t do this if you had any allergies. As I’m coeliac, I had to go over to the pub, order at the bar, and then wait to take my food back to my room.

Decent size room with twin beds for my friend and me. The restaurant is onsite with a good choice of food and good value . We were visiting Oswaldtwistle Mills so an overnight stay at Willows is very convenient and good value. They now have EV charging stations which is excellent news.

Plenty parking spaces food excellent . Room really clean . Stayed two nights Saturday night didn’t get much sleep whoever was in room above jumping of bed all night dropping stuff on the floor . Will ask for a second floor room next time .

Air conditioning, nice food in restaurant.

Hotel was clean and had comfy beds. The service from the house keeping staff was excellent! The only real criticism was that the ledge next to bed was not fit for purpose , it needs a proper shelf of bed side cabinet as it is not big enough to put a cup/bottle of water phone at same. There is no proper reception desk but you go over to the pub to check in, which is okay but not for elderly parents and if it’s pouring with rain.

Stayed two nights next time I will ask for a second floor room with a bath my room had shower only prefer bath . The Saturday night didn’t get much sleep whoever was upstairs literally jumping on floor most of night . Sunday night really peaceful. Not hotels fault who ever was up there 👆 noisy .

Nice room, very comfortable bed some cleanliness issue a dirty hand print in the bathroom and some marks on the sheets. The pub was lovely staff really friendly quick service. Would stay again

Expressing dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, several issues marred what I had hoped would be a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Upon arrival, I found dirty hairs and a blood stain in the toilet, as well as hairs in the bath. The bed sheets did not smell fresh, and there were stains on the carpet. Additionally, the spoons, kettle, and glasses in the room were dusty. My room was adjacent to a very noisy room with drunk young adults, which did not feel safe. There was banging on doors at night, and the presence and noise of intoxicated individuals created a disturbance. Despite being a non-smoking hotel, there was a noticeable smell of weed on numerous occasions. The Wi-Fi connection was poor, making it difficult to stay connected. Checking in through the pub did not seem appropriate, especially when traveling with children.

The hotel was very good, neat and clean although I would say the room itself was a bit on the small side but still enough space for a family of four. The staff were good and very helpful including the cleaning team and bar. Overall great place to stay and we will be back soon. As my daughter said it's better than a premier inn.

This is the second we have stayed here. It is a convenient place near to our family and friends. The facilities are good and relaxing. The location is good with good views of the reservoir.

We had a one night stay here. After checking in, were given our key card and it wouldnt work do it took 3 trips back to reception to sort out. The room itself was spacious, clean, bed was very comfortable. It felt stuffy though in the night . Breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious. Great service from Theresa who was friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again if in the area

Great location close to motorway junction, pub next door was good for food and a beer and the room was nice and modern, clean etc. only downside was that the bed was rock hard - some might like that but it meant we didn’t sleep too well other than that it was good

Very clean and modern fixtures . Set back of the main road hardly hear the traffic . Nice views over the countryside. Very quiet at night . Staff very Freindly and helpful will recommend to my friends . Really good choice on menu.

Very helpful receptionist, she was extremely busy but she still found time to find me a suitable room . Hard working lady .

Awful service

The accomodation was excellent, the customer service was poor. I Tried to book in just after 2pm. There was no one at the book in desk. There were several staff members in and around the bar area mainly chatting amongst themselves. I Waited for several minutes before a member of staff asked if he could help and went to find someone to book me in. I was told someone would be with me in a minute. After 10 minutes I had to ask again for attention. I was again told I would be attended to in a minute. After another 10 minutes I couldn't wait any longer as I had my young grandsons in the car. My wife and I returned to the Willows about 5pm when we were booked in without an undue wait. to order a meal. Again several members of staff were busy chatting to each other and friends at the bar. Eventually after several minutes we ordered a sirloin steak and a surf and turf. We ordered peppercorn sauce with our meals but this was not available (we do understand that at times restaurants run out of items on the menu). The resaurant was not busy. We waited 35 minutes for the food to arrive. Tartare sauce and mushrooms were missing from the order. No sign of waitress for 20 minutes after finishing main course. I took the drity plates to the bar. Order two Rock road Ice creams, another 35 minute wait for them to arrive. Have stayed there before and at other Marston Inns we have always been extremely satisfied on the occassion the Bar and restaurant staff let the side down badly.

A very comfortable stay and the staff were all brilliant.

Comfortable room, but rude and unwelcoming staff at checkin. The restaurant was a joke: I waited over 45 minutes for my lasagne, which eventually arrived with 2 small, thin slices of garlic bread and just a spoonful of lettuce/onion ‘salad’. I have stayed here several times before, but this was probably my last time: I’ll spend my money somewhere else, that deserves it.

The lady on reception was really helpful and went the extra mile to help us.

On arrival, the surrounding wasn't great as we expected. It was too noisy and gypsies were staying at the car park. We were concerned about the safety of our car. We didn't feel safe to leave the car at the car park. But hotel room was clean and comfortable.

Room was ok for what it was, food in the restaurant was similar to what you would pay 30-40% more for at a Premier inn, but on the last night of 4, I didn’t eat until nearly 8pm & basically had to take the empty crockery back to the bar after half an hour wait and ask for the next course. There was virtually no-one eating, the service was just zero

We have stayed several times at willows and we find it convenient for visiting family near by. Very friendly staff. Few things we found was the tables were sticky as only cleaned with a spray and cloth so i think ever evening after close of bar and dining they should be given a good clean with hot soapy cloth to degrease them. Also we found the food very disappointing. I had whole tail scampi chips and peas, the scampi i would say was scampi bites little square pieces and the peas was a desert spoon full not many chips very over priced for what i received. Husband ordered gammon with egg and the gammon was so thin and over cooked as hard as leather no egg as had ran out of eggs. Overall food disappointing which is a shame as good menu on paper. The next night we went up the road to the brittania just outside oswaldtwistle and it was very good and good portions. We will stay again as we like the willows and is a good price

Quite slow service at breakfast clearing and setting tables. Quite slow serving meal at night but they were busy. Bedroom good for the price

I've stayed here several times previously, so the room was good value as usual. This is a Marston's (brewery) pub/lodge, so I was surprised and disappointed there was no draught ale in the bar. I had a pizza, which was edible but definitely required at least twice as much topping on the base - very miserly portion control! NB: all the staff on duty were absolutely fine: I'm sure these are senior management policy issues.
