If the mattress was good I would have given a full 10, but unfortunately it was severely dipped, The room however was very nice with quality touches.

The instructions to self check in were fine and first impression of the boot room was good with the bed comfortable and the room and bathroom clean and well equipped. However, the green light in the room was so bright it was difficult to sleep. Coupled with the tv in the next room being the opposite side of the wall to the head of the bed and it was still on at 2:30am when we banged on the wall a few times and it was switched off. Terrible nights sleep!

Only after I had booked was I informed that the "hotel" didn't have its bar or restaurant open on Mon through Wednesday. As it happens my colleague and I stayed on a Tuesday and we were eating out with customers, so other than missing out on a quick drink or two at the bar before and after this wasn't too much of an issue - nearest pub we were told was a mile away. By far the biggest issue we had was that there is no way of affecting the temperature in the room, other than a radiator thermostat - and as the central heating was either off or set too low neither my colleague or myself could get warm enough at all through the night. It was cold out - the coldest day so far in 2023, but not THAT cold for the time of year (-1C)and it had been widely publicised that it was going to be cold - so why have the central heating off or very low?
