Savnet minibar/kjølemuligheter på rommet, som kanskje er litt trangt. Bare en heis hvor det blir litt venting på tur. Ellers ingenting å utsette. Personalet er utrolig smilende og serviceinnstilt. Sentral beliggenhet og god frokost.

Lovely quirky hotel. Most friendly staff. Even got little snacks on check in. Rooms are spacious and clean. Coffee machine and water kettle in the room. Nice bathroom and shower. Aircon works well. Lots of amenities in the hotel auch as well equipped gym, table tennis, table football, social areas with sofas and seats..good WiFi. Very good location within a stone's throw of the centre. Would definitely recommend to travellers of all ages. Nice concept.

Bra läge, relativt ny byggnad. Tysta och bra rum.Modernt med ungdomlig puls. Gym och nära stort och modernt parkeringsgarage. Trevligt rent generellt.

Um conceito diferente de hotel. Muito jovem de espírito e de outros hóspedes, com bastante coisa pra fazer, espaço para ler e estudar, café, academia e facilidade de lava roupas. Pra quem vai fazer algo na faculdade/hospital, muito bem localizado, é próximo do Grote Market

The photos on your website made The Social Hub look like a cool, funky place to hang out … but we didn’t realize that it is actually student housing as well. We and our friends are “young” 60-somethings, but we felt about as out of place as possible. In addition, they were hosting a mental health event that took over all of the public areas and caused the restaurant to be closed (they offered takeout, but we would have had to sit on our beds to eat). The entire bar/lounge area was unavailable as well, so we headed out on foot in the dark, ate at a terrible restaurant, and hung out by ourselves in our rooms. Had we known about the event in advance, we definitely would have booked elsewhere.

Preis zu hoch für Hostel, sah beim ersten Blick „cool“ aus aber wird Zeit für paar Sachen austauschen - etwas abgenutzt… Aufzug kaputt und am 2. Tag noch nicht repariert. Oft niemanden zu finden in der Rezeption.

Nice modern and trendy hotel. There is a parking closeby and just a few min walk to the center.

Bad AC - and they knew it. The Social Hub is a hopping place. The entree looks very ‘active’ and all the different places where you can sit and work or meet are great. The check-in was very pleasant and quick. The elevator was very slow. I was surprised there were not more elevators for the amount of people and rooms. There were stairs that I did take coming down from the 4th floor but that was not trivial, there was a certain route to be followed. The room was ok. I went to the room pretty late (I came from visiting at the hospital) and was tired and turned the lights and ac on with the room key in the slot. After an hour of mediocre sleep I woke up bathing in sweat. The room was really warm. The lowest the AC could be set to was 18C - in my recollection that should be colder but I was extremely tired. I tried opening the window for cooler air but that only worked if I kept the curtains open. The bright lights shining into my room were not helping my sleep either. By 2am I decided that the AC was not working correctly, the window and curtains open was not working either but what could be done in the night. I am in my pjs and so tired. I muddle through but it was not very pleasant. The next morning I walk by the reception to tell them about the AC and the response was: “Oh I am sorry, yes we knew the AC’s were a bit finicky but thought we had it fixed” So sorry, have a nice day. Do I want to stay here again? Not really.

I stayed at The Social Hub for one night and it was a nightmare from beginning to end and ruined my stay in Groningen. The first room was beat-up with stains all over the wall, the carpet was shabby and the furniture had dents everywhere. But the worst thing was how dirty everything in this room was. All the surfaces were dusty and/or full of fingerprints and/or full of stains, the sink in the kitchen was covered in limescale. The worst was the bathroom – limescale and all kinds of other dirt in- and outside of the shower. Below the toilet there was a big blob of a white substance, which I hope was body cream. Naturally I asked for a different room. The new room was not much better, which made me realize that the lack of cleanliness is a bigger, structural problem at this ‘hotel’. Again, there were thick patches of limescale in the bathroom; dust, fingerprints and splashes of dried liquids everywhere in the room – on the desk, the curtains, the TV screen, etc. Other issues: - The mattress was old, sagging and was also slanted to one side - which means: no sleep - The temperature control in the room was either broken or disabled - There was no hairdryer in the bathroom, even though it was listed in the room amenities All of this makes me wonder – who is in charge of this place? These are not minor issues - the dirt, the worn-out mattresses, the lack of maintenance. Is this a conscious decision by The Social Hub to not care about guests' experiences and basic needs?

good location (though Groningen is so small most locations are good). Staff friendly, but rooms were not clean at all. found lipstick stains on the bed, and big black hairs in the sheets. Would not recommend.

Tolle Unterkunft mit guter Lage. Für junge Leute perfekt, stilvoll und modern eingerichtet. Die Zimmer hätten gründlicher gesäubert werden müssen (!!!).

Das Zimmer war hier und da nicht ganz sauber

Das Zimmer war sauber, aber das Bad war überhaupt nicht sauber, vor allem das WC und die Dusche.

Die Lage und das Konzept- MEGA! Man betritt das Hotel und fühlt sich wohl. Leider war das Bad nicht ganz sauber und der Matratzenschoner ziemlich eklig, ansonsten klasse. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Alles ok. Nur wir haben in der Schublade des Zimmers Müll entdeckt. D.h. es wurde nicht gut sauber gemacht. Aber trotzdem ist die Unterkunft preislich gesehen und die Nähe zum Zentrum zu empfehlen.

Questo albergo, come molti altri, pecca per la pulizia, problema generale riscontrato in Olanda. Si fanno corsi di formazione per tutto, ma sicuramente non per come si puliscono camere e bagni. Un'altra considerazione relativa alla progettazione, soldi sprecati per testiere dei letti in tessuto, assolutamente anti igieniche, mancanza di uno specchio ingranditore in bagno, utilissimo per un'adeguata igiene. Docce che allagano i bagni per non aver previsto che l'acqua ha la spiacevole tendenza a rimbalzare. Se invece dell'apparenza i progettisti, certamente architetti, badassero alla funzionalità, probabilmente sia gli utilizzatori che gli investitori sarebbero più contenti. L'hotel si presenta bene, con un'inutile aria condizionata glaciale nella hall e non funzionale nè funzionante in camera. Abbiamo ridotto ad un solo giorno la sosta che doveva essere di tre. Chi ci ha guadagnato?

Ich hatte ein schönes modernes Zimmer im 7. Stockwerk mit schönem Blick über die Dächer von groningen.sehr freundliches und hilfreiches Personal. Das Hotel ist vom Bahnhof sehr gut per Bus erreichbar (am Krankenhaus umcg). Sehr praktische Lage.

Excellent choice and interesting concept just over canal from centrum. Well thought out. Excellentb breakfast buffet the day we ate in. Originally geared for students but now has guests of all ages. Nothing student or hostel about the faccilities or staff. Good wifi. Good mattresses. AC, which is only helpful in a brief timeframe this far north but we appreciated having it that stay. The rooms have excellent sound proofing.

Das Zimmer war super klein, daher ungemütlich, ein Bad wie auf einem Boot, 1 min geduscht, alles nass. Pures Chaos beim Frühstück, keine Teller, Tassen mehr und es wurden einige Lebensmittel in der halben Stunde wo wir frühstücken waren, nicht mehr aufgefüllt, obwohl das Frühstück noch 1,5h ging. Leider werden wir als Paar dieses Hotel so nicht mehr nutzen.

Iedereen was vriendelijk en behulpzaamIk loop met een rollator,het openen van gangdeuren was een beproeving. Ten afsluiting: iedere ochtend werd heeel lief een ontbijtje op de kamer gebracht. Als ik weer naar Groningen kom, kom ik zeker terug in dit hotel.

Sehr hübsches stylisches Hotel. Große Zimmer und gutes Frühstück. Service und hospitality könnte besser sein.

Brought my daughter to study at Groningen, she’s staying for the year at the social Hub. The hotel is Fantastic, clean and the staff are polite and can’t do enough for you. My daughter feels safe and is very happy to have chosen to stay here. Customer satisfaction is their major priority, well done to them all and keep up the good work.

Ubicado entre la zona céntrica y una más residencial, es un lugar perfecto para visitar Groningen, sobre todo en bicicleta ya que no está cerca de la estación central. Se intuye que la intención del establecimiento es que los visitantes se mezclen con los locales en espacios creados para ello tales como salas de juegos, reuniones y gimnasio, aunque sinceramente no vi que funcionase, tal vez debido a la temporada estival. La habitación era muy agradable, moderna, con ventanas grandes que te conectan con la calle.

Das SocialHub ist super zentral gelegen zur Innenstadt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und in einem guten Zustand. Bzgl. der Sauberkeit beim Frühstücksgeschirr gibt es noch Luft nach oben.
