Beautiful hotel with very nice people working there. Facilities are fairly new. We loved our room overlooking the Marilyn Monroe statue. The rooftop bar is overcrowded and the pool is tiny and overcrowded. Maybe it was just the weekend but some patrons seemed a little too rowdy. We didn’t spend time up there with so many other options available. We didn’t go to the restaurant or bar. There was a animal rescue charity event that seemed interesting. I recommend this property and will definitely visit again.

The Kimpton is beautiful and in a great location, BUT unfortunately, our trip was less than stellar. First, we purchased a cabana and planned to spend the entire day eating and lounging by the pool. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed due to sewer drainage issues. And yes, it smelled just like that. As such, we were instructed to order from the cafe menu. The wait staff, although nice, were incredibly slow. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper for over two hours. The toilet in our room was broken, so every time you flushed, the ballcock would lift the top of the toilet and then drop it. All in all, it wasn't worth the money. I am sure when it's running at 100% it's probably a lot better.

Horrible customer service, the whole floor smelled like sewage. Thin walls and we could hear the dogs across the hall barking all night. They have a sound muffle device in the room but it made absolutely no difference. Definitely not worth the price and don’t plan to stay here again.

There was a terrible odor in the room and I wasnt given the room I originally booked. It was very expensive due to peak holiday. The smell was making me sick and then it was confirmed by Maintenance they have problems with sulfer odor and HVAC in different rooms. There were no other rooms available. I was with my 85 year old mother and this was supposed to be a special trip. We had to pack and unpack and I was physically ill being in the room. I had prior health issues and had a comprised immune but when spending a very high price you expect your hotel room to be safe to stay. We then got switched to a room with obstructed view which was fine and it did smell great but there was a HUGE generator or AC unit and it was very loud. There was no off switch so I didn't sleep. The room was comped for that night except I was still charged the resort fee. The manager made me feel like we were being a nuisance. The second night we got switched to the room I should of had the first night. It was all fine except when given an extra blanket it was covered in lint and stuffing from something. I have no idea what but I can't fathom how housekeeping could give it to us. The materials flew all over the room. I was extremely disappointed with our stay. I paid for the second night and it was definitely not worth the over inflated fee.

Our room was as expected. Beautiful and very clean. I’m extremely particular about the bathroom and showers at hotels and this hotel met my expectations. Towels and linens were above par. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again.

My partner and I had a great stay. Our king balcony room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. The room was quiet (on 6th floor). We were there on a Sunday night and had no issues grabbing lounge chairs around the rooftop pool. The hotel is walkable to tons of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

As world travelers, we have had many hotel experiences over the years. We had a wonderful room on the 6th floor with floor to ceiling windows on the corner with spectacular mountain views and we loved size of the room and bathroom with soaking tub. Cleaning service was great. The food at Juniper & room service was very good. We were not impressed by the 4 Saints restaurant. One serious issue, however, was that the lock on the door to our room from the terrace was broken so the room was not secure. We reported it to the front desk as soon as we discovered this. Unfortunately, our concerns about security were dismissed by a male staff member at the front desk who made us feel that asking for a secure room was trivial. Having been the victims of robbery, we were taken aback by his cavalier attitude. He basically told us not to worry about it. Maintenance staff came to assess on 2 different days and initially told us that they didn’t know about it, that they were waiting for parts and/or would dismantle a lock in another room and replace it but nothing ever happened. We waited all week for a resolution but no one followed up with us and we felt that there was a total lack of concern about this on the part of hotel staff. Customer service, especially around a safety, security issue, was completely lacking. That said, the valet staff, High Bar staff, and Juniper staff as well as everyone else we encountered were professional, attentive and friendly.

The Rowan is certainly the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed in! It’s right in the center of downtown PS, so the location could not be more convenient, walking distance to everything! The hotel staff are amazing, so kind, attentive and professional. There’s food and drink available a lot of the time and they are willing to help with anything you need. My only complaint about this hotel is the noise! We had three rooms to accommodate the 6 family members we had visiting (none of the rooms adjoined). All 6 of us could hear everything that was going on in the rooms next to us! I had to contact the front desk multiple times because the people next to us were so loud. The guest noise was of course not the hotel’s fault, it’s the paper thin walls that are the problem. For such an expensive hotel, I expected the walls to be noise-insulated, and I could hear the guests next door showering, flushing the toilet, everything. This needs to be addressed. Otherwise I would have given perfect scores across the board. Caveat: this was Coachella weekend, so maybe the level of guests were just louder? I don’t know. It’s one of my requirements that where I stay be quiet, so if you are noise-sensitive, ask for a room without neighbors on either side of possible.

We were in room 513, there is a loud whooshing sound all day and night. Couldn’t sleep. They took off $200 from a $1000 stay. Engineering said they had experienced problems with this noise, and we should never have been put in this room. Also pool was too cold and no hot tub. Disappointing for a kimpton.

The Rowan is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Palm Springs. The rooms are modern, clean, and spacious. The rooftop pool offers a lovely view of the mountains, and the dining options are of quality. There are, however, a few downsides, some of which are probably due to the low season in August in Palm Springs. There is no room service after 10 p.m., it’s impossible to get sparkling water after 10 p.m., and no one is available to bring luggage to your room, instead, trolleys are provided for guests to load and unload their belongings themselves. The front desk staff are rather cold and unfriendly. The valets, on the other hand, are extremely friendly. The hotel has a more modern, brutalist style, rather than the 50s/60s design typical of many other places in Palm Springs.

Front desk clerk - Deja- was horrible. The most disrespectful person I have encountered in a very long time. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Be careful if you complain. The rest of the staff is immediately informed and they all avoid you and treat you like you have a contagious disease. For the prices we paid, this person at the front desk set the tone for the remainder of our stay. She should be fired and not permitted to work anywhere she has to interact with the public. Maybe a remote job although I am sure her true colors would come out as well. In addition, she is prejudiced against LGBTQ individuals. There are plenty of other places to stay in Palm Springs. Don’t stay here as it is not worth the hype.

We had a beautiful stay! Everyone who works at the hotel was friendly, polite, and very helpful. There were several times where we both commented on how they all made us feel so special. A special thank you to David and the wait staff who greeted and served us each morning at breakfast and Linda who was a very kind and helpful concierge. We definitely would love to visit again! Thank you so much for making our vacation amazing!

This is a first-class hotel right in the center of Palm Springs action. Great location, great views, wonderful amenities, and very modern rooms. This would be the only place we would stay in Palm Springs. Only regret was our stay was too short.

I really liked certain things in this hotel. It had a modern vibe and I loved that books were dotted around. Breakfast wasn’t worth paying for and the service was terrible by the female employee who was charmless and rude. Throughout the hotel some staff shone and some looked disenfranchised

With the taxes and fees. My stay here was 600 dollars a night. The things i enjoyed about the place is it is pet friendly, so i was able to bring my dog. They provided 2 bowls for food and water and also a dog bed. The rooftop pool was nice and the rooftop restaurant provided us blankets as we dined on the patio. Things i didnt care for. Hefty price tag for a small room. Room didnt have a balcony or a tub. The shower head was small. The restaurants close early. 9:30 pm and no more food. At 3pm the rooftop restaurant is closed along with the downstairs restaurant. The restaurant is pretty pricey for such little servings. Theres little details that need attention and cleaning. The elevator has a shiny film that is half rubbed off making it look dated and dirty. Overall it was fine. I think the price should reflect the experience though and i definitely felt over charged
