The front desk staff says this is a remodeled rt66 motel. It was very clean and in good repair. The room was small as I think it was in the rt66 days. The highway and train tracks are near by but the fan on the ac unit provided enough white noise that it was not a problem. Nice place with lots of restaurants near by.

Check in & check out very easy , nice & friendly greeter with helpful information. The room is clean and big, has microwave, refrigerator, the AC works great, the area is quite and safe. I definitely coming back when I'm in Flagstaff . Thank you !

Exceptional value, clean rooms with comfortable beds, air conditioner, cable TV. Fabulous location, close to downtown, parks, Fry's, restaurants. Front desk always staffed and very friendly. Parking never an issue.

I like how close to interstate and the area is very nice. Very comfortable and staff was helpful and held our booking even though we were running behind on our arrival. I like that it’s a motor lodge as I like to have my vehicle where I can watch it.

I will say the bed was comfortable and sheets and towels seemed clean. The floors looked filthy. Lots of scratches and damage. And uneven in spots. The ceiling had a 4ft+ crack and stains. Lots of mold in the shower. All the baseboards had damage and lots of scuff marks and dents on the walls. Lots of cigarettes butts in parking lot. Someone spent a lot of money to reno the place at one time but it was not kept up. They will not refund your money.

This unassuming hotel was exceptionally clean inside and outside. There was more than enough parking. Lovely places to sit in the shade. Checkin was very easy and pleasant. Notable was the very comfortable bed. Given the class of hotel, it was not surprising that a little wear and tear was present. That said, it did NOT affect our stay and was outshined by everything else, which was excellent.

Dusty, dirt in every corner. The door handles and the sides of the doors were dirty. Unidentifiable bits of something that had dried on the bathroom wall. But the worst thing was the pillows. Clean pillowcase cover over disgusting stained pillow that smelled funky. The wi-fi was good. The soap was nice. Hot water. The beds were on a high spring frame that made a loud noise every time you moved. There was cable TV. We walked to a nice little breakfast spot called Mi Madres and an OK Mexican restaurant called Agave. We don’t recommend this place.

The employees were very nice but my pillow sticking out of the side of the pillow case was visibley dirty and black. The bathroom towel that goes on the floor also has black footprints on it. The toilet had an unpleasant smell coming from it. Overall just not very clean. The train tracks nearby were also very loud.

Manager was friendly and efficient. Room was very neat and somewhat clean. My husband walked on the floor with his white socks and they got black very quickly so the floor was not clean.

This was a good, basic motel. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The remodel is nice. Our room was very clean. Most of the units face West so it was still dark in our room in the morning with the blackout curtains! It's not far off the freeway so that was convenient. The beds were a bit too firm for my liking and I wish I'd brought my own pillow. The trains run just across the street. The rooms are pretty small but it met our needs just fine.

Throughout the night there were trains running constantly. I didn't get much sleep until I blasted the AC to cover the noise. If you're looking for a restful nights rest, then this isn't the property to book. Multiple train tracks are directly across the street and the trains run throughout the night. Other than that, the rooms were clean and cozy, but it's all about a good nights rest after being on the road all day.

Overall I would stay at this place again. The room seemed like an effort is made to keep it decent. The king bed room is small about the size of an average bedroom. The bed is firm. The only bad thing is the bathroom vent fan draws in sewer gasses from the shower drain. That tells me the p trap is leaking.

If you're trying to save some money, I'd recommend this hotel. The owner was friendly and it was cleanly. It was nice to be able to drive right up to my room. Things to note: bring ear plugs for the trains. Also, their mattresses are very firm, and I found it hard to relax just to watch tv on it. I commented that to the owner, and he mentioned they were just purchased a few months ago. So don't expect that to change anytime soon.

DEFINITELY NOT This hotel is located across the street from a railway whose trains run frequently AND LOUDLY throughout the evening AND fairly regularly throughout the entire night. Additionally, soundproofing is severely lacking. Didn’t pay much to stay here and still wouldn’t be thrilled at the prospect of staying here again.

He cancel my booking for no reason after driving 3 hours,Front office Staff very rude unable to understand and trying to over charge after I pay for a Deluxe Double Queens Beds for 4 people,,since I was explaining him and showing my receipt on Expedia app and providing him all my proofs what I had pay for ,he got mad and canceled my reservation ,He got mad cause he was charging me extra more money and I refused to pay more ..Ending my kids husband and Me at parking lot looking to reserve another hotel ,,Will not recommend this hotel,..I had never had this problem before. I alway travel a lot and always book my Room on Expedia app never had a problem before never .

If I could give 10000 infinity stars for this property I would!! First of all, the stay itself was exactly what I was hoping for. Quick check in even at my late arrival time of 1:30am after driving from LA, easy parking in front of my room, clean room, hot shower, clean sheets and towels. But what brought this place over the top beyond belief was when I made the extremely huge error of leaving something VERY valuable in the room and then heading to my final destination of Albuquerque. About 2 hours from my destination I realized I had left the item and I called the front desk in a panic. Immediately the staff member (who I believe is the owner) went to look for the item and then came back and confirmed they had it and would keep it safe for me until I drive back to LA on the same route 2 days later. The honesty and integrity shown by this hotel in helping me out of this grave error has truly blown my mind and everyone I’ve told about the situation has felt the same way. True good values are very rare these days and the staff and owner of Relax Inn in Flagstaff are a shining example of them. I am so grateful for this property and will sing its praises for years to come!!

The owner and staff are outstandingly friendly and helpful. Loved the cleanliness! Both the exterior and interior are meticulously cared for. Unfortunately, the heating unit did blow cigarette smoke smell . . .was glad I brought my ozone machine. Told the management about it so it is sure to be fixed by the time you read this.

The property was “updated” but I’d say minimally. There’s a train that runs constantly right across the street. Very loud. Not a lot of space to get around the room. The manager was annoying. Calling me on my phone asking why I had the do not disturb sign on the door. If I walked outside he was asking if something was wrong. I’m on vacation please don’t bother me.

We visit Flagstaff regularly - this was our first time staying at the Relax Inn and we will come back! The king size bed was comfortable, the property was clean and tidy, and the room was comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. A great value too.

Stayed 3 nights at the property. Good value for money in Flagstaff. It is conveniently located on Route 66, close to downtown and shopping and easy access to I-40. While the motel itself was quiet, note that the train tracks are across the street and there are BNSF freight trains that pass at least 20 times per day and night. That took some getting used to. The rooms are small but fine and include a refrigerator and microwave. Wish it had a coffee maker as the coffee at the front desk was only available 7am-10am. Bed linens and towels were as expected for an old Route 66 motel - worn and threadbare. I've stayed in several motels like this and it would be great if the owners knew how important newer sheets and towels upgrade the customer's experience. Nice and helpful staff. Would stay again as the location is very convenient and the motel provides good value.

A great value for the money. Room was small but clean, bed was comfortable, shower pressure was fine. The only real downers were being located next to train tracks (i was able to drown out the noise with the air conditioner), and no coffee maker in the room (coffee was available in the lobby)

We had an emergency trip to make so I didn’t have time to research hotels & got what was available at the time based off photos and reviews. The bed was comfortable but the shower was sketchy. The train tracks across the street ran all night and we could hear the tv next door. I suggest you bring a sound machine if you’re a light sleeper. No breakfast but coffee and tea was available in the lobby. It’s not bad if you’re looking for a place to sleep but it wasn’t worth the $150 we paid for the night.

the Relax Inn was a very nice motel. Check in was easy and very friendly staff. Room was clean and very comfortable. Rate was outstanding. The only thing I would have liked better was coffee. There is none in the room and none available in the office until 7am. I am an early riser and would have liked the convenience of coffee much earlier.
