Overall a good stay. Spoilt a little as we stayed previously and didn't have to pay for the pool etc. This time however we did as we booked through Expedia, although we tried to book direct there was no room availability. I think it should be as it says on the best western website,if your a resident then it's all included.

The only things that were a little disappointing were the thinness of the toilet paper and the condition of the car park, which had several large potholes. But, a free car park is a free car park.

I thought it was dishonest to advertise the hotel as having a gym but hide the fact that there will be an additional charge to use it in the small print. Otherwise pretty average.

You will pay extra each day you use the pool & spa. This is IF you book with Expedia. If you book direct with hotel you don’t pay. They wantbto disuade 3rd party bookins. But on arrival makes you feel a bit like an unwanted guest. To be fair to Best Western, I don't feel Expedia make this clear. Pool is open to public too, so in spite of paying twice: once for an evening use and once for a morning use, the jacuzzi and small sauna never available to us as users sat in them for hours. So more like having a public pool attached to property with no rota system for the spa element. Not located on seafront. Views on 2nd floor of roof of building, loadi g bay and staff carpark. Noisy. Room clean and pleasant. Breakfast fine.

The hotel was very good, nice room, very clean great breakfast and the bed was very comfortable. Our biggest gripe is with Expedia. We thought Expedia found hotels with good deals whereas you actually charged us a whopping 20% above the price the hotel charges. This is an extortionate amount! To add insult to injury, we only booked this hotel as it had a leisure centre and pool which we had looked forward to using. But no, the hotel told us that as we booked through Expedia we would have to pay an additional charge of£6 each per day to use the pool on top of the £200 + per day already paid which was already far more than the hotel would have charged us. So much for Expedia finding a good deal! We will not be using you again and will make sure other people don’t either. I’m sure you will have covered yourselves in the small print somewhere.

A fairly basic looking hotel, room was in need of refurbishment, broken curtains and possibly the worst shower I've ever had the pleasure of using. Stayed here due to the fact they had a gym however that didn't fair well either as it was poorly equipped and a couple of machines didn't function correctly. Will be giving this place a miss if I'm here in the future.

I enjoyed my overnight stay but was disappointed with the location of my room. It had frosted windows in the bedroom and the bathroom, with very noisy ducts outside which kept me awake. Plus, I was pretty peeved that I was expected to pay £6 to use the horel swimming pool just because I did not book directly with the hotel.

The first complaint is they want to charge a ridiculous price extra to use the pool area, the breakfast was disgusting the food was full of salt, and I found a hair in the baked beans. The first room I was given was filthy, with dust, cobwebs, stained carpets, hairs and stains all over the bedding, smelly towels, and seagulls nesting outside of the window. Got moved to another room which was only a little better. Thankfully I only had to stay here for the one night! Never again!

Great location near the seafront and friendly, helpful staff. However, the hotel feels dated, our room was not very clean, with stains on the walls and furniture, and it received only minimal attention each day. Disappointing for the price and brand.

The hotel is starting to look and feel dated… lacking attention to detail with the cleaning - in dire need of a deep clean especially the higher areas. The pool facilities are good and the food is very reasonable from the bar area. Staff are friendly.

Bedroom a bit stark, decor rather tired and curtains dangling off windows. All someone needed to do was hook the curtains back onto the rail properly. We had requested room near a lift because of my husband's limited mobility. We were told by reception it was on the 3rd floor near the lift. Our room turned out to be on the 2nd floor furthest from the lift!

The plumbing is awful! Staff lovely but the place needs an upgrade! Over bath shower with little pressure and little temp control. The cold tap was warm or hot! Yes I tried running it for 10 mins to let the mains water come through, but no! Nice enough place but plumbing is 20 years out of date!

I have stayed here many times before but this time I was put in a ground floor room where the floorboards of the room above squeaked. Fortunately, the occupant went to bed early. However, I was woken at 12.30 by the noise of a television in the adjacent room. There was an interconnecting door which was locked but provided no sound insulation. At 1.30 I got up and knocked on the door and asked the occupant to turn it down. Fortunately they complied. Luckily, I was only booked in for one night. I moved on to another hotel to get a decent nights sleep.

Hotel was fine except the walls have no sound proofing. Guests in next room had their TV volume turned up until 2.30am. Night managed asked they turn it down but due to the poor insulation it felt like the tv was on in our room. Very bad night sleep. Apart from this, staff are friendly, room is large and location is short walk to the beach.

Absolutely lovely place will definately be staying again. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, genuinely cared about making your stay the best. We even got the chance to try out the leisure facilities on site. (Pool, steamrooms ect) the staff were very friendly and explained everything well. Given towel to use in the leisure facilities. Room, besides general wear and tear to the room but otherwise really happy with everything. Cant wait to book another stay.

We didn’t end up booking in as we had been misinformed at the location. I was left for 35 minutes for the Deputy Manager escorted me to a private room where he was aggressive arrogant & misinformed he raised his voice & discussed an issue that I hadn’t even raised incredibly rude & angry. He did then calm down & apologised for his initial stance & we managed to discuss the issue , I did offer a solution which we both agreed was fair & reasonable, however he needed authorisation to agree to this. Absolutely fine ….. his boss said no but they would pay for mobility scooters ….. which was insulting as I explained previously they do need to walk to maintain their mobility but can not walk over a mile in one session! We then left, on my part quite happily as I did not want to stay there a minute longer as the hotel looked sad tatty & tired I found rooms at Chapter 1 an amazing hotel right opposite the beach where Steve the owner could not do enough for us & the experience was so in contrast to what we experienced with the best western. Food and room service excellent ! Room very comfortable. Can I mention Gareth Clarke on the reception desk , he was extremely helpful , knowledgeable and friendly and was courteous and prompt with supplying room service after we had had a long day outdoors. A star employee 👍

Upon arrival a member of the reception staff helped us as we had a pan, and gave us a room that was close to the lift.This was really appreciated and made our trips to and from the car during the day much easier. The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much of an ask. Would definitely book again and recommend to other people.

We had a problem with our room, strange odour. We eventually moved room on our last day. Given much nicer room Generally nice hotel, nice breakfast, drinks pricey as all hotels are. Very good location for walking into Weymouth Manager did refund us small amount of money for the room problem. Would stay again there.

This was a great “home away from home” for a few days. Room was spic ‘n’ span. Great help from the front desk and special kudos to bar/restaurant/breakfast staff …. Very clearly an operation by family and close associates. Gracious and snappy!! Would come back any time …..

We were staying for the Ironman event. They got us checked in two hours early, great swimming spa facilities to relax in the afternoon, then had a comfortable nights sleep plus they laid on breakfast from 5am knowing all us athletes needed to be up early. Very impressed!! Thank you to all the staff that made that possible - We’ll be back.

This is a slightly old fashioned hotel. Nothing to really complain about, just that it could do with some modernising. Cleaning was OK and staff were all friendly and helpful. Location is good - short walk to town and sea front. Also has EV charging.

Great location, clean, staff was friendly and helpful. It was just disappointing that there is building going on next door but thats not the hotel fault. We had to have the window open because it was hot and there was some noise but not sure what it was but all said and done i would still stay there again.

We chose this hotel because it has parking. The location was fine and only a few minutes walk from the beach front. Cleanliness, staff and breakfast were all good.

We stayed at the hotel for one night, but in that time were very impressed by the quality. The staff were all very helpful, our room was clean and the food quality and selection at breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a convenient location near the waterfront

Ideal place to stay only a 5 minute walk to the sea front 20 minute walk to the Pavilion to take in a show and visit the harbour and town. Excellent leisure facilities with good inside pool area especially if a trip to the seaside is rained off. Far enough away from the late night music along the promenade.

Good service, nice room, clean and a very good breakfast. This is our 'go to' hotel when in Weymouth as it has everything you could possibly need including free parking and within a 10min walk of the beach and theatre.

The first complaint is they want to charge a ridiculous price extra to use the pool area, the breakfast was disgusting the food was full of salt, and I found a hair in the baked beans. The first room I was given was filthy, with dust, cobwebs, stained carpets, hairs and stains all over the bedding, smelly towels, and seagulls nesting outside of the window. Got moved to another room which was only a little better. Thankfully I only had to stay here for the one night! Never again!

We always stay here if visiting Weymouth. It's has a good size carpark and it's a short walk to the town. There is a swimming pool, but not safe guarded so little ones need to be accompanied by an adult. The rooms are spacious, the dinning hall & food is great, although drinks are pricey.

Nice hotel to stay in, about 15 minute walk to Weymouth beach area. Lovely and clean, food was excellent in the restaurant. The only thing which was a pain at breakfast for me was I use soya milk and eat gf bread, they had both options but you had to ask the staff to get it for you, it wasn't readily available. So when the dining room was busy it took a while for it to arrive.

Good location, excellent staff. We were received with great service and information. Hotel rooms are dated but clean. Restaurant dated from 90ties Food quality was surprisingly great even for 10pm late servings.

The hotel staff from reception to bar staff were very friendly and efficient. We paid for room only having paid for breakfast on last day only. A choice of cerals, fruit and buffet full breakfast, toast and croissants. Was enough to choose from but just a bit on expensive side at £13 each, £10 would be better. We only went with a comfort room so was small. However was cleaned every day and supplied plenty of coffee and biscuits in the room, unlike some places we have stayed in!! Room needed a little redecorating in a couple of places. Bathroom was spotless, relatively new I would say. Saying that the overall 4 night stay was great and would definetly stay here again.

The rooms were just what we needed , they were tidy and clean. Beds were made each day and fresh towels if needed. The swimming pool came in very handy to keep the kids busy at a reasonable price. You could even leave your car in the free care park on checking out all day if you wanted to.

Warm staff on reception. Clean room. Comfortable beds. Bathroom a little outdated and the shower pressure was quite low but did the job. Excellent location for walking into town (10 mins). Free parking and let me leave my car there for the day when I checked out which was much appreciated so we could go out and enjoy the day.
