The Tree Inn

Parking is extremely limited. The rooms share a bathroom. Only one bathroom has a shower. The breakfast is help yourself, cook yourself - but at your own risk. There are items open in the fridge without information about when it was opened. The milk was 10 days out of date and sour. A visit from EHO would be advisable. Be aware that the rooms have limited power sockets, ours had an extension lead trailing. There is also no TV. The restaurant was not open for our visit, but there was a bar food menu, but judging by the breakfast fridge we chose not to dine. Expensive for what we got, definitely not value for money, would not book again.

Quaint old pub. Floors all wonky. Owner and staff nice and includive. Parking not on site but close enough. Only one shower, lots if toilets.

A very nice historic pub and inn. Owner was helpful and check in a breeze. No dining and only takeout available in the area. The owner was helpful in sourcing food but it’s not ideal. All other necessities were available and as expected for a one night stay at this price point.

Old hotel with lots of history but no parking

Friendly hosts. We had to improvise on the food front as they were serving a limited offering, but walked 1 minute to the local shop and had an impromptu picnic in the beer garden

The Tree Inn is an absolutely stunning place. Warm , welcome and friendly. There is no parking which was a bit of a pain and due to the age of the building the floors are very uneven which is both amazing and makes you feel a bit drunk! Overall though gorgeous place and highly recommended.

Parking a bit tricky, pretty village, character pub.

If you love interesting buildings and friendly atmosphere and don't expect en suite and TV in the bedroom then this pub is perfect. An old world pub in an old world village - we loved it. To compensate for no restaurant you can use the kitchen and lovely little dining room -there is a great local shop and another pub just down the road and it has a lovely sun filled garden for evening drinks. Everyone so friendly - just don't expect Ibis, Holiday Inn etc- It is much, much better!

Stayed 17th july one night lovely old litsted building very quirky which i liked but restaurant was not open nor anywhere else nearby ! So had to travel 3miles to find somewhere to eat not pleased as already travelled for 5hrs no parki g at the property and all double yellow lines outside so had to just take a chance ! Make your own breakfast and supply it ! In not a very clean kitchen ! Rooms were comfortable and clean very cute courtyard to have a drink in

We really enjoyed our stay at the tree inn, it is a lovely quite place, and the room was clean and tidy, being an old building it had loads of character and charm, would highly recommend to anyone. 😊

What really stood out was how discusting and dirty this property was. There was mould and grime just about everywhere you looked.There is a separate kitchen area and cupboards were crammed with food left overs, mouldy bread and the sink plug was blocked with someone's left over cereal. A Health and Safety inspector would have shut the place down. We walked out and the drove the 3 hours back home.

We were greeted by a very helpful and friendly host, the facilities were amazing with a stunning building to compliment, the room which was room 6 was so comfortable, spacious and very clean, everything made a lovely stay.

Landlord was ill, no staff there, just people helping out who was friends of the landlord. Dodgy extensions plug socket and one part of it wouldn't work for the kettle when plugging it in, luckily I brought my own extension lead with me and I used that. Clean bedroom and well presented, no TV in all the bedrooms. Breakfast included in the price, but the bad news is that you had to do your own breakfast. I used the shower a few times and twice the drain for the shower was blocked and over flowing with water and was like a paddling pool. I told the cleaner and she sorted it out, the next day blocked again. Friends of landlord or people staying in the pub kept on asking us when we are leaving our room at the pub, our room was given to someone else when we are still in bed sleeping and had a knock our door and she had a key. She must of got a different room in the end. Then we saw her the next morning and we was putting a few bits in our car, she asked us again if we was going we said no - we said tomorrow morning. Last night police and ambulance picked up the landlord from the pub and this time he had to stay in the hospital longer. I wouldn't recommend this pub, I would stay away and don't bother, other people was concerned seeing police and ambulance last night and left.

It was not made clear that the bathroom was shared. The bathroom is also accessible to all of the pub patrons. The food in the kitchen is uncovered or not properly covered and left all day without any monitoring. It is also easily accessible to non-patrons. There were dirty dished in the utensil container. There is no parking. It is a municipal lot down the steep hill and not on the property. The owner did not reply to any calls from Expedia regarding issues raised so no refund would be issued. There have been previous complaints regarding this misrepresentation.

The worst place I have ever stayed in. The bedroom needs a clean, bedding not ironed, hair in the bathroom, water taps making noise every time someone used them, kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. No napkins to use at tables. I would never recommend this accommodation to anyone. No adequate parking, it should be mentioned in the literature that there is no parking.

No TVs at all. Make your own very limited breakfast. Nowhere else to really eat breakfast nearby. No entertainment. Bored so went home early

Perfect for what we needed, a comfortable bed for the night and quiet location.

The bedding and towels were clean. There was no tv in the room. No phone signal. Had to prepare our own breakfast. Paint peeling off the room wall.

We liked the friendly staff and other pub goers and they served a good pint of bitter from the barrel ! We did nt like the lack of parking, room had no en suite, and only a bath in the shared bathroom, rooms had paper thin walls and you could hear conversations as if they were in your room ! Had to cook your own breakfast from a shared kitchen. we felt we were staying in a youth hostel !

It was a real treat staying in the Tree Inn. Constructed in the 13th century, I think this is the oldest building I’ve ever spent the night in. With a building so old there’s some things that are going to be kinda wild—curvy hallways and strange layout and stuff—but this is to be expected and is part of the charm. The host was great (I didn’t catch his name but he was cool) and the ambience was very good.

A classic 16th century Inn. Many period features. Needs new carpeting. Room functional, lacking TV.

Free parking near by, lots of sounds from nearby rooms and street.

The inn was comfortable quiet good bar and staff room and bed comfortable too

The host Simon, was very nice. He let us parc the motorbikes in his garden! Warm welcome. Very charming building.

Simon's customer service and advice was fantastic! My three night stay from check-in to departure could not be faulted in any way! Wonderful room, lovely well stocked kitchen and very comfortable bed! I'll be back very soon!

The tree inn is a beautiful 13th century house in a lovely part of bude . Very clean inside and out. The host Simon is a friendly guy who will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

The 13th century Inn was an amazing building to stay in. Full of character. One member of staff was very helpful and friendly, the other somewhat disinterested and uncommunicative. A comfortable stay at a very good price.

Fantastic characterful hotel with equally superb bar. Owner is welcoming and engaging. My third stay and looking forward to next time already. Many thanks

The staff were warm and inviting, especially the proprietor Simon. The room was tidy and clean. The best was the 14th Century building with a carriageway entrance for a front door and nary a straight line or level floor board to be found. This is a rare gem. And, strange for such an old building, the best shower in all of Cornwall (hot and high pressure). I got to sample the new Indian cuisine that could soon be available at the hotel. I hope so. It’s excellent!

Shared bathroom, no parking, I had to park a 20min walk away, after driving round for a crazy amount of time, the actual hotel is in the middle of no where, one place came up to order food from as its too far out (chips & icecream £21 ! Crazy!) I had no other option, would have been far too risky to go back out & drive to somewhere after i’d finally parked, as finding a space was near on impossible. Hotel kitchen closed! Local takeaway doesn’t open Tuesdays! Breakfast is a bowl of cereal !!

An amazing old inn. You really are stepping back in time when you stay in this place! It was clean, comfy and very friendly. Free parking a short walk away which was useful.

We had a very enjoyable stay, fantastic value for money, brilliant breakfast, help yourself but everything there you could wish for. Downside ( although being very picky ) would have been nice to have a tv in the room.
