Despite the efforts of the friendly and helpful staff, the room was very dirty. The hotel had received good ratings for cleanliness, which I find very surprising. There were large stains on the mirrors, sticky residue on the tables, stains on the floor, and the bed linens were dirty and had holes in them. On top of that, the refrigerator did not work and the shower was moldy. The hotel must once have been very nice, but it has not been well maintained, and there are many signs of wear and permanent stains. However, the staff did everything they could to make the room clean, and the bed was comfortable. Thank you for that. There are, nevertheless, cleaner hotels available in the same price range, so unfortunately I would not return.

I would have rated the hotel as a solid 3-star hotel, since the stay went smoothly until the moment of check-out. We were charged 500.000 VND (approx 17€) for the cleaning of sheets when checking out (for reference, the room price per night was 40€) and the receptionist insisted on the sheets being hard to clean after splashing a bit of water on them without using any professional cleaning supplies/washer. From my experience, sheets should always be cleaned professionally at 60-90 degrees using washing powder and bleaching product so this is either not the case with this hotel and they only clean their sheets by hand without using any product or they ridiculously overcharged us for something as simple as a machine wash. Something tells me it’s the latter: I politely and repeatedly asked for an invoice for the additional cleaning costs and the hotel tried to put this out as “breakage and damage” costs while it was simply to clean sheets professionally - which should be included in the hotel pricing and not added on top of the stay. So unfortunately the stay left a bad taste of being scammed behind.
