Homewood Suites by Hilton Wauwatosa Milwaukee

Every worker was super nice and friendly. The hotel was very clean. Loved staying here in a suite. Super easy ramp parking!

We booked a family trip the Brewers/cubs game and stayed one night in Milwaukee. The hotel was close to the field. The area was good with lots of shopping and food. The room was a good size. A few items could use updates - bathroom wall had a hole that looked like it was a poor patch job, kitchen hanging light rattled when some above would walk in that area, thermostat in bedroom had low battery so temp couldn’t be changed (we ended up switching batteries out of the other thermostat to change it). Breakfast had a lot of options. Parking garage free for hotel guests.

This is a very nice hotel. A nice parking garage, near great shopping and dining. The girl at the front desk was wonderful! I would certainly stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! In addition to the pool and fitness room, there is a small basketball court and outdoor patio. Parking was very convenient, the room was clean and very spacious. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was great!

Area very nice. Hotel very nice - clean, lots of space in the breakfast area. Pool was very cold - needs temperature raised up at least 5 degrees!!!! Remember it’s the parents going in with kids and we hate freezing!!!!! Breakfast was typical hotel fare. Location of hotel was nice - lots of nice restaurants around and a bunch of shopping as well!!! Will likely stay there again!

Pool was closed which is why we stayed, but otherwise all good.

Overall it was a nice place. The kitchenette was probably the biggest weakness. They had one 2qt pan, 1 fry pan no spatulas or stirring spoons. Pretty hard to to fix much with the limited supplies. It sucked the pool was shut down for maintenance too.

Check in took a long time- the employee did a great job but didn’t know how to operate the new system. She was the only one working so there was a line of people waiting. There were only three towels in the room for five people. There were no sheets, pillows, or blankets for the pull out bed. The pool was out of service and we were not told that at check in.

The good: This is a very nice hotel. The staff were helpful, kind and considerate. I was on the 1st floor mid way through the building. I didn't hear the usual slamming of doors or people talking in the halls in the morning even though they were nearly fully booked due to a concert in the area. A very rare occurrence for a hotel stay which was fantastic! Got a great uninterrupted nights sleep. A hotel with sound insulated walls? Amazing. Didn't use the pool, business or fitness center but they looked nice and well kept. Would have liked to use the outdoor patio area with dual gas grills but didn't have the time. Pretty awesome that it is available however. The bad: Check in is 3 pm. When I booked my room I advised them that I would arrive about 4 pm. Due to traffic jams coming in, I arrived at 4:30 pm. and was told at the front desk that my room wouldn't be available for another 15 min. I waited about 20 min and went back in and was advised that the room was still not ready but they could put me in a standard room. As I had booked a special provision room, I responded that I would prefer the type of room I had booked. Then magically one appeared on her screen lol. Not exactly what I had booked, but very close. It was an exceptional room which resulted in an exceptional stay. I'll stay here every time I am in Milwaukee, but I will definitely call when I'm an hour out to ensure they have my room ready when I arrive.

Clean, free breakfast, friendly staff and welcoming

The hotel was nice, service was good. However, there was someone else’s food on the inside of our sheets. The staff was apologetic, however it was unsettling.

Notice bed bug bites on my ankles when I got home…very disappointing . Beds need to be cleaned better Also, weekends at the hotel are brutal with invasion of children running the hallways screaming and slamming doors! Above us was a kid jumping off bed til midnite!!!!!

We stayed here in December and our room was immaculate. This stay was nothing like that, our room smells like fried greasy food, there’s stains on the rug, the pullout couch had what appear to be urine stains on the mattress, the floor is sticky so much that my shoes still squeak when I walk on other bare floors, the bathroom is filthy. Kitchen was also dirty. Definitely beyond disappointed in this stay.

At an average price of $250/night, we expected much better service and cleanliness than what this hotel provided. There was trash piled up in the hallway every single day and night. The sofa bed was a rock hard futon and the cleanliness of the room was terrible. There was free parking, so that was helpful.

This hotel was in a nice area right by mall and main part of hotel seemed nice. But our room was horrible stains all over the couch and floor, cigarette burn holes many of them, the room smelt like smoke bad, the toilet was broke, the toilet holder was hanging off the wall, we had a 5th person so we needed to use pull out couch no blankets or pillows for that so had to ask front desk they could only provide blankets because they said they had no extra pillows. Over all I just felt gross and couldn’t wait to checkout. Thankful we only stayed one night. Yuck!!!

The coffee maker was broken, one of two TV remotes didnot work, faucet in bathtub had a steady drip. Sofa and chair was filthy. Rug looked dirty. Staff was very friendly... not their fault. Poor management, obviously.

The hotel was really pretty and smelt great. The room was also nice but our room sadly did have ants in it and nobody was willing to help with the issue.

Room was not clean! Sticky floors, streaked and foggy mirrors, sofa stained, and more. Staff was kind and helpful but definitely overworked. Excellent and convenient location. Lots of shopping and dining in walking distance.

The room was very nice and large. My only complaint is that the ventilation system was designed poorly, because people in other rooms cook in their kitchenettes and you can smell strong odors from their cooking! My room smelled strongly of garlic and onions in the morning, which was not pleasant!

Our stay was to visit family. I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple times in the past and had great experiences but this time was different. No staff issues. They’ve always been great. The condition of the room was just ok. Bathroom fan wouldn’t shut off and the toilet ran. Plus, we could hear everyone moving about in the vicinity. Slamming doors, walking and running in halls. We were hoping for a more quiet stay.

Staff was really rude!!

All employees were very pleasant and kind. Room was great. Beds were very comfortable. Garbage disposal was not working, but was repaired within 10 minutes of notification. Tried a few other places during earlier visits. This will be our place for all future visits to Tosa.

We always stay at Homewood Suites in Wauwatosa. The staff are always polite and responsive. Tried some others, but, all things considered, we like this one best.

Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Hotel had issues with the national outage but they handled it extremely well. I will stay there any time I’m in the area.

Cassie at the front desk was outstanding! She was kind and thoughtful during checkout.

Check-in was 2 hours late and this is definitely a hostile environment for African American teenage boys. The general manager was hostile and very rude. He asked what brought us there and I said. It was my grandson's birthday and he said I might want to get another hotel because he's sure I signed a no party contract, which the desk clerk immediately told him she had forgotten. The thing is I was not giving a party. He said the boys smelled like weed. So I guess he's the hotel's drug sniffing dog. I only stayed because my son said he did not want to leave. The African American clerk appeared to be embarrassed. She was awesome but the general manager and the other white guest seemed intimidated by kids. These were nicely dressed kids, they're polite but I guess it wasn't a good look in their lobby. Maybe they will have the rooms clean at check-in time next time.

The key card system was down due to Microsoft outage. The staff was super nice and escorted to our rooms each time to open the doors so our stay went very smoothly. I would recommend this hotel highly

We stayed while visiting the state fair. It was easy to get to where we needed to be.

This hotel was perfect for our stay. We were in town for our daughters softball tournament and the location was perfect. The gal at the front desk was fantastic and very welcoming. The free breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There are food options right next door and shopping as well. The area was safe. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.

The staff were nice, breakfast was a bit hectic due to a large sum of people eating at once, so there was some congestion around the waffle makers and food was making its way out as they could. Also hoping hotels start having bedding in rooms for pull out couches so you don't have to bother staff to supply them.

Great breakfast

The hotel room was good for our family. Our teens each had space and didn’t need to share a bed. The room was quiet and spacious. The main downfall was the breakfast. We chose this hotel for the option of a breakfast included. But the breakfast provided was severely disappointing. Both mornings the coffee was empty. The food options were almost gone both mornings (we arrived around 9am) and were not replenished. Eggs were gone, muffins were gone, coffee creamer was empty and the coffee creamer I did find was curdled and chunky. Very little staff available to assist with the breakfast. Both mornings were highly disappointing .

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Breakfast was very good as well with plenty of options. Parking does have a $10 fee.

Room had a funny smell, hot items were not hot at breakfast and cold items were not cold. Parking is tough having a parking ramp. Really not worth the money.

We were very happy with our stay here. Our room was well appointed and very clean. The breakfast was good (not great) but a solid good. Everything was well maintained around the facility. We did not use the pool area so cannot give any feedback on that.

The ventilation system ran all the time. He lotion container pump was stuck closed. Skim Milk at breakfast was sour. Heated breakfast we’re cool and not even warm.
