everything was perfect and top-notch. we had an issue with a cancelled flight, called the hotel and were assured we would be taken care of upon arrival. The lobby was a treasure and felt very home-like. excellent coffee, breakfast and a welcome drink. The room was spotless and everything necessary was provided. The desk and lobby staffers were outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again sometime.

great location, ~5-10 min walk to AMS Centraal train station and can get on local trams or trains to distant places. Short walk to great food options. Front desk staff was wonderful, gave great food recommendations and also even offered to help coordinate reservations. Also great G&T welcome drink and hang out in the welcoming lobby. On a quiet street so no issues getting great rest, felt very safe the entire time

What a charming room! I love the rustic yet modern charm throughout the hotel and room. We were greeted by the reception as soon as we entered the hotel. They also gave us vouchers for a free drink which we enjoyed at the lobby. They also offer umbrellas at the exit door in case they are needed.

The Hendricks hotel was situated just a short walk from Centraal station and in an ideal location for access to all the city offers. The breakfast buffet was superb, staff were friendly and helpful and they have bikes on site that we rented 2x. I would definitely stay there again!!

The Hendrick’s Hotel was perfectly located. It was walkable from the train station and close to the other attractions…but not too close if you didn’t want to be right in the fray of Amsterdam nightlife. The area is very safe and quiet. The elevator was not working during our stay but it wasn’t that big of a problem. They had someone bring our luggage up which really helped. We really enjoyed the stay and would stay there again.

Absolutely incredible. We stayed on the top floor facing the canal. The attic rooms won’t be for everyone, especially if you have mobility issues; they’re the only rooms not reachable by elevator. But we loved seeing the old pulley and the unique spaces. The hotel was immaculate and very comfortable. Crucially, it has air conditioning, which was very important in a near 100 degree heatwave. The staff was helpful and friendly. Location was good too - near the station. We definitely plan to go back.

This was the 4th hotel in our vacation and we wish this would have been the only one! In a good location, extremely clean, and friendly staff! We were in a semi-basement room which was pretty cool! They do have an elevator and they provide guests with free tea/coffee/hot chocolate/water which is a nice perk. They also give a voucher at check-in for a complimentary welcome drink of beer/wine/soda! Very comfortable lobby to enjoy your drink, and we loved the separate toilet and shower (which was a nice rainfall shower head). We chose this hotel after our flight was cancelled, and we would definitely select it again for any return trips to Amsterdam. Highly recommend The Hendricks!!

Lovely 1 night stay to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday in Amsterdam. FOH were very friendly. Room ( Wilhemina ) was spotless and exceptionally preared. The large freestanding bathtub is a fabulous centre piece and luxuriating in it together whilst sipping cold champagne was heavenly.

We stayed for a week and had a great holiday. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the central station and an easy walk to the main shops/restaurants. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend to anyone.

Our room was small and our only complaint was the bed was up on a tall frame so we had to go up two steps to get into bed. Likely not an issue for young people but for two seniors it was tricky. We were there for just two nights so dealt with it.

The Hendrick's Hotel was an excellent choice for our stay. Essentially at the centre-point for every activity we did whilst we were there, incredibly convenient for the Centraal station and yet very quiet and set-back from Amsterdam's hustle & bustle. Our Standard Double Room had gorgeous views of the water and was very well-appointed. After long walks all over the city, we appreciated the very comfy bed and luxurious-feeling shower in particular. Though we didn't use the breakfast facilities, the downstairs seemed an attractive and convivial space. The staff were friendly and attentive, helping us out with extras like ironing boards, dinner recommendations and early check-outs without hesitation. We'd definitely stay here again.

Everything was great about the Hendricks. It’s a small central hotel and the staff are very attentive. The room was nice and large. My only suggestion is that there could have been more hooks or a towel rail in the bathroom. 2 hooks were not enough for 2 towels and 2 hand towels

This hotel is close to the Centraal station and had a nice view of the harbor, but we found the location to be far from anything else that was convenient unless you want to spend all your time in the red light district. Its far from good restaurants and and very far from museums and just about every other part of the city. Be prepared to walk A LOT or ride bikes no matter where you want to go except Centraal station. Food options are very limited and the breakfast in the main lobby is also limited. Its very small and there was often no space for us when we wanted to eat and had to go elsewhere. Also, my husband is very tall and kept hitting his head on the beams in our room and could barely fit in the shower. Very tight space.

I love the lobby and breakfast room. This place is so cute. My room was much bigger than expected and it was very quiet despite facing the street. The staff was soooo helpful and nice. They made sure from the moment that I walked in that I was getting the most out of my experience in Amsterdam.

Great property just outside the busy and touristy areas in Amsterdam. Walkable to everything. So close to Amsterdam Central...easy to use train for daily transportation to other cities/sites. Staff was warm and welcoming. Helped to arrange transportation to and from the airport. Quick to get room ready so that we could have an early check in. Highly recommend this hotel!

The Hendricks was a wonderful choice for us in Amsterdam. The friendly staff (Roos) was able to accommodate our very early arrival from our cruise ship, make superb restaurant recommendations, tell us how to get to museums by tram and provide tickets too. The conversion from a bank was fairly recent, 2017, and the room was very large, comfortable, and quiet even though we faced the busy street from the 3rd floor. King sized bed was unexpected for Europe and very comfortable, the shower was huge and had great water temperature and pressure from rain head and spray. I cannot wait to return for another stay.

The Hendrick's is the perfect Hotel to stay in while in beautiful Amsterdam! What a great location! Located 10 minutes from the Amsterdam Central station & right across the street from the IJ Waterway. We absolutely loved this beautiful & cozy Hotel! The inside of the Hendrick's is absolutely gorgeous! The old woodwork is so beautiful! The breakfast area is lovely! You could sit in there all day! The breakfast was absolutely delicious! So many wonderful choices as well as custom egg choices plus pancakes & waffles! So good! Also, the free flowing coffee was available all day & night! Fantastic coffee too! Our room was huge & we had a beautiful view of the waterway. At night, it was really special! Our room was modern & the bedding was wonderful! The bathroom with a huge walk-in shower was excellent! And, so pretty too! They didn't miss any details at this excellent property! The staff at the front reception was lovely too & so helpful! If you follow the directions from the front desk & walk around the corner through the residential area, you will find shopping & lots of delicious restaurant choices. We walked back through the area at night to get to the Hotel & we felt very safe. We would absolutely stay at the Hendrick's again! It was one of our favorite properties! Thank you to everyone at the Hendrick's!

Lovely boutique hotel not far from the main station. Easy to find. This was my second stay and it was, once again, excellent. Some lovely staff and good sized rooms which are kept clean. It is not the cheapest but I believe it offers fair value for Amsterdam. There are steps to the main entrance, which may not suit travellers with limited mobility. Recommended.

This hotel is lovely decorated and well situated. It is walking distance of many points of interest in Amsterdam. The lounge room is a beautiful room to have breakfast each morning with a view on the city. The complimentary drink when you arrive is also great. Finally, the room is very comfortable and quiet. What could be slightly improved is the breakfast service (egg shell found in the food 2 days in a raw, cut fruits from the day before served the day after). I would also be careful with moths in the room: we stayed 3 nights and killed 3 ones.

Fabulous hotel from the moment we arrived. The lounge area was inviting, the reception informative, and the room we reserved was massive. The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom had all of the luxuries of home. The breakfast is outstanding! My only comment would be that if you shut the door to the bathroom while you shower, the condensation is a noticeable problem. Other than that, we have no complaints!
