The rooms are really nice and the views are great, the food in the pub downstairs is extremely good. The only down side is no lift so you have to carry bags up the stairs but the stay is worth it

The hotel was lovely, rooms were modern and clean, service was good but there was no air con in room or bar, found it hard to cool down disturbing sleep.The hotel,bar and restaurant is a popular location so even though it is free to park, it tends to be find a space as cars come and go throughout the day/evening.

Horrendous parking. Had to struggle to park on site every evening. We felt pressure to come back to the hotel early in order to "secure" parking space before the restaurant guests began to crowd in.

Absolutely beautiful outside space, a well kept garden with superb views over the Menai Strait. Room was lovely, very clean and well maintained; the bed was comfortable and we had a great balcony (again, with views over the Strait). The shower was ok, just about warm enough. The staff were friendly and the service was very good (special mention to Nathan, whether first thing at breakfast or serving us at the bar, unfailingly polite and on the ball). We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Had a great stay on a lovely weekend in Wales. The staff were all extremely friendly and we enjoyed a nice meal and drinks in the restaurant and also sat outside in the large beer garden.

Staff were very friendly, though we only had dealings with breakfast staff. Breakfast was ok, though limited choice on the 2nd morning when we went down for breakfast. We had a large room which was spacious, but just was let down by rips in the bedding. Nearly £400 for 2 nights, I would have expected better.

Room was very nice and large with a balcony to the river view. However, room has clearly had a damp problem in the past and requires decoration. Biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of a resident's lounge. Once the bar had closed, we were unceremoniously kicked out and told to go to our rooms. Clearly we were no longer allowed to talk to our friends who had travelled a long distance to join us.

Primarily a pub with rooms, rather than a hotel, it is part of quite a large chain so expect a corporate identity. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had felt small and the bathroom felt cramped, also the bathroom could have been cleaner (shower tray and skirting boards). The room was very noisy from quite early in the morning and there was quite a lot of noise from other rooms. When eating in the restaurant, the quality of meals served seemed a bit hit and miss and is best described as adequate rather than special in any way, the menu exactly matches that of our local Chef and Brewer. I don’t think we will be returning.

Bathroom far too small. The hotel room was really nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable but the size of the bathroom really let this room down. The toilet was so close to the sink unit that it hit your knees! ( I am of average size ) There was also nowhere to put your toothpaste and brush and the sink was so tiny. I wouldn’t stay again it was so uncomfortable and claustrophobic. Ruined our stay

We had an amazing time at The Victoria. Huge room with fantastic view, massive bed and fabulous bathroom. The food was delicious and the views outstanding. The value for money was unbeatable. We will definitely be booking again

Lovely hotel for a weekend away. Great location in Menai Bridge, with activities and restaurants easily walkable. Breakfast was lovely, the rooms were stylish and comfortable and the service was friendly. It was my second time staying here and I would definitely stay again.

The property would get a 5 star rating but sadly my room was next to the kitchen and early morning noise 6am can be heard and then tonight I can here loud music along with the general kitchen noise as my hearing is bad I can only assume anyone with normal hearing will be disturbed more than myself in this room.

Outstanding! From parking onsite, to great customer service at check in/out, fabulous surroundings, atmosphere, ambience and the room was so beautifully decorated! Very comfortable bed, real care and attention to detail down to the glasses for water, teacup and saucer even a full length mirror and a hand written note on the bed with Green and Blacks chocolates!! Important things like ENOUGH PLUG SOCKETS and in the RIGHT PLACES which are extremely important to me as a woman who travels for work. Also - Incredibly clean!!! Oh and the Food … And the wine!!! Affordable, great variety and delicious!! ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING !!!!

Stayed for 3 nights 22nd- 25th Oct with friends. Our rooms were superb with balconies looking over the Menai. Breakfast each morning was relaxed and excellent choices. Staff were attentive and friendly at all times and made us and our dog Monty very welcome. We would love to return. Thanks to everyone!!!

The hotel bar & restaurant was fresh, new and inviting. I felt it was a little over priced for a standard double room. The sash windows banged with the wind so o had to wedge them closed. Also the green LED over the exit in room was so bright it eliminated the room so again I had to improvise and stick something over it. Also we did not have a TV remote… I looked high and low but after a long wait at an unmanned reception this was finally sorted. Overall great looking historic hotel friendly staff but over priced imo. Must try Dylan’s down the lane - awesome food!!!

Lovely hotel for a weekend away. Great location in Menai Bridge, with activities and restaurants easily walkable. Breakfast was lovely, the rooms were stylish and comfortable and the service was friendly. It was my second time staying here and I would definitely stay again.

Menai is a great centre for touring Anglesey and the mainland. The hotel has lovely views over the straits and the gardens are beautiful. The public areas are stylish and comfortable and so are the bedrooms. The staff are efficient, pleasant and very helpful.

Lovely hotel. Spent 5 nights here in September. Very convenient location for sightseeing around the area. We ate here every evening and breakfast. The food was excellent. There were few staff but the service was very good.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel which appears to have been refurbished to a very high standard. Our room overlooked the Menai straits with a balcony. It was absolutely beautiful and we were lucky with the weather. The only criticism would have to be the breakfast. Day one we waited for an hour for a fairly disappointing full English and day two we opted for the farmer’s breakfast which was not nice. Overall though I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely room, nicely decorated, very comfy bed. Good views out over the straits and terrace garden. However first night was disturbed by noise of staff chatting in bar below well after closing time. Eventually my husband went down at 1.40am to ask them to be quiet as we could hear everything . Second night ok after closing but then another hour between midnight and 1am of people chatting in the bar. The open plan design of downstairs means there is little sound insulation. 3rd & 4th nights were ok. We had no hot water in our shower on third day and the morning we left,- the heated towel rail was never on so towels didn't dry and we had you ask for fresh towels just to get dry ones. The cooked breakfast looked and tasted as if most of the ingredients had been in the oven a while and were a bit it dry and hard. Same applied to the fish and chips we had on first night, so opted to eat out after that. Overall I was disappointed considering the price we paid for a superior double room.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. There were a couple of issues with the room which were resolved. The gardens and view across Menai Straits were lovely. The main menu was quite limited, but the food was OK and portion size generous. Breakfast was good. Main issue was there was no designated resident parking which was an issue as the pub/restaurant side was very busy.

Primarily a pub with rooms, rather than a hotel, it is part of quite a large chain so expect a corporate identity. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had felt small and the bathroom felt cramped, also the bathroom could have been cleaner (shower tray and skirting boards). The room was very noisy from quite early in the morning and there was quite a lot of noise from other rooms. When eating in the restaurant, the quality of meals served seemed a bit hit and miss and is best described as adequate rather than special in any way, the menu exactly matches that of our local Chef and Brewer. I don’t think we will be returning.

The room and view for the Victoria was really pretty. You could see the Menai bridge from the balcony and the river. Lovely area with view outside to eat as well. Best hotel ever!!! I found this little nice hotel by chance as I was running a race close by and boy if I liked it! The staff is really nice, the room was big, super comfy and with all you could need. Breakfast is top notch. This is indeed a place I would recommend and I will definitely be back. if I have to find something slightly negative is the Wi.Fi. doesn't work very well, but this is really a minor inconvenience unless you solely rely on that for working
