A wonderful visit to this beautiful, well run and happy pub. Genuinely a delight to spend time here. All the staff are excellent, special recognition to Elijah, Hobbs and Kelly for being above and beyond brilliant. Also, Adam made checking in quick and easy. Car park is handy and the number plate system is very simple to use. Food was delicious (we ate in both evenings) and the chef was very happy to accommodate our special dietary needs. Same with the delicious breakfast. The whole pub looked great after the refurbishment, was clean and super tidy. Lulworth itself is a Lovely area, great for walks.

Lovely old inn beautifully appointed with quirky decoration which suited an old building. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff who worked so hard during a very beautiful sunny weekend. Food was well presented and very enjoyable. Really comfortable bed and fab shower in a large bathroom. Great stay can’t wait to return as it’s situated in the gorgeous village of West Lulworth about a 5 minute walk from Lulworth Cove. Stunning.

First time staying here and will definitely be back. Staff were brilliant; friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, (aside from one pillow being a bit too firm!), and little touches like the cafeteria in the room, and a free drink in the bar, were gratefully received!! Breakfast was fantastic, waayy better than the usual chain hotels you may stay in. The Inn is about a 1km walk down to Lulworth Cove itself, so really accessible, and means you can stay parked there rather than pay the high fees in the main car park. Overall i'd highly recommend!

Restaurant facilities were excellent. Room was nice although the floors were wet on arrival and found to be very dirty when wiped with the shower mat! Unfortunately the bathroom and toilet had the residue of the previous occupants still present. (Hair and excrement)

We had a wonderful stay at The Castle Inn. The rooms are clean and have everything you need but are also quirky and characterful. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and everything we tried was delicious. We ate in the pub on both evenings of our stay and enjoyed dinner very much. The location is great too. A peaceful corner of Dorset but with wonderful coastal walks and the beautiful Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door close by. We loved being able to take an early morning walk to enjoy the stunning English countryside and coastline. Highly recommend!

Cannot recommend this highly enough. Rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated, shower was excellent, breakfast outstanding, staff attentive. Excellent location for Lulworth and the castle. 10/10 5 gold stars!

Room was a little disappointing based on the price but I guess the location dictates the price. No AirCon and even on an average summer evening and with a fan in the room, it was impossible to sleep without sheets removed! Stayed for Dinner and breakfast and both excellent and staff very friendly

The Castle Inn is a lovely traditional,thatched roof inn a 20min walk from Lulworth. The staff were really lovely,each of them friendly and clearly all work hard and look after their guests well..The pub is furnished to a high standard and the room was so cosy and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was good and they have a wide menu for lunch and dinner. The dinner we ate there could have been better,but it wasn't bad..Would definitely stay again.

Stay away. We never felt welcome. Room was nice, but that is also all. We felt we were a necessary evil. Don’t come before 3 p.m.: “come again at 3 p.m.” despite we are gold members entitled to early check in IF the room is ready, but they did not even check, and don’t ask for breakfast before 8 a.m., which is too late for guests on the go. “Come again at 8 a.m.” – You cannot have a table in the restaurant even if booked 12 hours ahead: “others booked months ahead” (nonsene) - Food is ordinary. Room 4 is very noicy. We use another hotel next time we are on business in the area. Jens Jakobsen

Interesting and different od pub. Room too small to have a chair or table to use computer on. So had to spend hours in the bar: nice but dont like holding down a table without imbibing. Bathroom terrific and bed comfortable. Heating works fine. Free bottle of wine was limited to Proseco and none visible in the small fridge. Excellent menu and service.

We spent a night at Castle Inn during our long weekend trip to the Jurassic Coast. We travel frequently and this was, by far, the best and most comfortable stay we\'ve had in many years. The staff are outstanding. We found everyone to be friendly, helpful, and warm. Our room "Mupe Bay" was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and had an excellent shower. My wife loved the essential oil toiletries. We had a lovely dinner after arrival and a fantastic breakfast the next morning, which provided much-needed fuel for a long day of fossil hunting. 10 for 10, we recommend a stay here to anyone and we will book with Castle Inn again when we\'re in the area.

Stayed here for 2 nights with our 9 month old son. The building is full of character and clearly someone takes oride in ensuring it stays beautiful. The best bit about this place though is the staff. They are the nicest staff we have ever encountered - from helping us with our bags to creating a dish that my son could eat whilst weaning. They were always proacrively offering to help. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here again.

A wonderful visit to this beautiful, well run and happy pub. Genuinely a delight to spend time here. All the staff are excellent, special recognition to Elijah, Hobbs and Kelly for being above and beyond brilliant. Also, Adam made checking in quick and easy. Car park is handy and the number plate system is very simple to use. Food was delicious (we ate in both evenings) and the chef was very happy to accommodate our special dietary needs. Same with the delicious breakfast. The whole pub looked great after the refurbishment, was clean and super tidy. Lulworth itself is a Lovely area, great for walks.

We had a wonderful stay at The Castle Inn. The rooms are clean and have everything you need but are also quirky and characterful. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and everything we tried was delicious. We ate in the pub on both evenings of our stay and enjoyed dinner very much. The location is great too. A peaceful corner of Dorset but with wonderful coastal walks and the beautiful Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door close by. We loved being able to take an early morning walk to enjoy the stunning English countryside and coastline. Highly recommend!

The Castle Inn is a lovely traditional,thatched roof inn a 20min walk from Lulworth. The staff were really lovely,each of them friendly and clearly all work hard and look after their guests well..The pub is furnished to a high standard and the room was so cosy and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was good and they have a wide menu for lunch and dinner. The dinner we ate there could have been better,but it wasn't bad..Would definitely stay again.

First time staying here and will definitely be back. Staff were brilliant; friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, (aside from one pillow being a bit too firm!), and little touches like the cafeteria in the room, and a free drink in the bar, were gratefully received!! Breakfast was fantastic, waayy better than the usual chain hotels you may stay in. The Inn is about a 1km walk down to Lulworth Cove itself, so really accessible, and means you can stay parked there rather than pay the high fees in the main car park. Overall i'd highly recommend!

We spent a night at Castle Inn during our long weekend trip to the Jurassic Coast. We travel frequently and this was, by far, the best and most comfortable stay we\'ve had in many years. The staff are outstanding. We found everyone to be friendly, helpful, and warm. Our room "Mupe Bay" was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and had an excellent shower. My wife loved the essential oil toiletries. We had a lovely dinner after arrival and a fantastic breakfast the next morning, which provided much-needed fuel for a long day of fossil hunting. 10 for 10, we recommend a stay here to anyone and we will book with Castle Inn again when we\'re in the area.

Spent four nights at the Castle Inn in West Lulworth. Service was excellent. Very friendly staff but not intrusive. Excellent breakfasts with good quality local produce. Dinners were great too.
